Walkthrough

At the northwest part of town you will find a Goron within a hut named Bladon. He is concerned that his reckless brother Gonguron has not come back home yet. He mentions that is is certain that he went to the Gorko Tunnel, just southwest of the Gorko Lake. This will trigger the start of the shrine quest, A Brother’s Roast.

Exit Goron City and make your way as if you are going to the Bridge of Eldin. Along the way you will pass by the Goron Springs. Just south of the spring you will find a pair of torches and a pathway that leads to the east. Follow this path southeastward to the next torch and continue from torch to torch. You will come across a sign that says you are at the Gorko Tunnel.

Inside the tunnel, run ahead and speak with Gonguron. This will cause his brother to appear at the tunnel as well. Bladon will tell you to exit the tunnel and head down the hill to Gortram Cliff. There you will find some rock roasts. He asks you to bring one for him.

There are a few moblins on the path downward and I recommend defeating them as they could get in your way as you make your way back up. At the very bottom of this hill you will find some Rock Roasts. Pick one up and climb back up to the tunnel. Be careful as if you hadn’t defeated them, the moblins will attack you. Additionally, there are some falling rocks that you will have to avoid. Make your way back up to the tunnel and give the Goron the rock roast.

Bladon will cook the rock roast and then feed it to Gonguron. This will give him the energy to dig through the tunnel, revealing the entrance to the shrine.

Inside the shrine you will have to climb up a steep ramp. As you climb up, there are small spikes that will roll down, as well as large boulders. These can be quite damaging as you’ll also roll back down the ramp, taking more damage. There are three columns that you can climb up and one of the columns is always clear, so try to look ahead to gauge which direction you should climb. You can also use either Stasis or Magnesis on the large boulders and small spikes.

On the right side of the ramp just as you start climbing it there is a treasure chest that contains a Ruby. There is a second treasure chest on a higher ledge on the left, near the top of the ramp. Once you reach the top of the ramp, turn around and Paraglide over to get some Bomb Arrows. Climb up and speak to the monk, Kayra Mah. He will reward you with a Spirit Orb.
