Hey! Listen! No really, you should give this album a listen. Over the past few years, Zelda music has grown more popular with fan interpretations, remixes, and even live symphony performances. This time around, since March of 2013, composer Ben Cohn released quite an amazing album strongly influenced by melodies heard throughout the Zelda series. Just about every song in the album has some kind of nostalgia your ears might be familiar with. However, as nostalgic and reminiscent as these songs may be, each song is reflects Cohn’s influence through his various interpretations.

Upon discovering Ben Cohn’s works through Sound Cloud, I am thrilled to share this discovery to any of you listeners of the soundtrack/video game genre. The album is comprised of eighteen tracks made through digital orchestration. Some of his greatest influences come from the legendary Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, Joe Hisashi, and many more from the soundtrack category.

Land of the Gods draws upon The Legend of Zelda’s 27 years of rich music history to deliver an audio experience akin to a journey from the Legend of Zelda universe. Each track of the album tells a new chapter of the story, and explores a new setting.

Currently, Cohn has two albums out available for purchase. His previous album Land of the Gods Cojiko Quest is also similar the Land of the Gods album, both being delicately influenced by songs throughout the Zelda series.
