In a recent interview with Official Nintendo Magazine Eiji Aonuma mentioned that during development there were a few more ideas they had in mind with the motion controls in Skyward Sword that did not make it to the final version. Since these were scrapped they had decided to hold on to those ideas and use them in a later Zelda game in the future. Jump inside to check out what he had to say.

Eiji Aonuma has told Official Nintendo Magazine that Nintendo had more ideas for using MotionPlus than his team could fit into The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Indeed, the Zelda producer has said that these ideas could be used in future games

Asked if there were any uses of Wii MotionPlus that didn’t make it into the final game, Aonuma replied: “We will want to use the Wii Motion-Plus controls that we did not use this time in future games, so we cannot tell you now. Please look forward to seeing them in the future.”

Could these ideas make it into The Legend Of Zelda Wii U? Well, Aonuma has also told us that future Zelda games will use Skyward Sword controls so it could be possible.

I think this just has me asking myself “What was left out?” Out of all the things they made available for the motion plus controls of Skyward sword, what else did they think of that was not implemented? And even then, does that mean they will be used on a WiiU Zelda game utilizing motion controls and not the tablet? There are just so many questions now because of this. Well the issue of Official Nintendo Magazine containing the complete interview comes out tomorrow so I think we might find out a little more then.

So what do you think? Do you think we will be seeing more in a future game? Hope we might see some more interesting ideas for motion controls? Let us know in the comments below.
