Have you ever tried your hand at woodburning? It’s a skill that few possess, but many covet. Woodburning involves using a heated instrument aptly named the woodburning pen. It is heated using electricity by simply plugging it into an outlet. The woodburning pen has interchangeable tips, which allows the artists to vary the thickness and wispiness of his or her strokes.

You didn’t click on this post to undergo a tutorial on woodburning, so I’ll start telling you about this amazingly detailed Zelda-themed wooden box, made by Natalie of RedcoatCreations.

Just what makes this chest so Zelda-esque? Looking at the picture provided above, we can see that engraved on the topside is a beautiful Hylian crest, complete with a Triforce. On the side of the box there is another Triforce, this time without the Hylian crest. Along the front of the box are two medieval-looking swords that are also very Zelda-like.

A few others details which make me appreciate this work of art more are the criss-crosses that line the top and bottom edges of the chest. The inside of the chest is lined with a very regal-looking red felt, and the wood is finished with teak oil to give it a nice shine.

The box itself can be bought here from Etsy for $44.68 (£30.00) before shipping. The item will ship to anywhere in the world from Birmingham, England.
