Amazing Mirror Shield Replica

Some people do some crazy things to own some life sized replicas of famous equipment from our favorite series, Zelda. The guy over at FiberGlassBlades has created an amazing replica of the mirror shield, complete with a full reflective surface that absolutely blows my mind! The shear detail of the piece makes me feel as if I’m actually looking at the real shield that Link used in Ocarina of Time, the original N64 version.

Look at that crimson, reflective perfection. You can check out the entire process of the creation of this masterpiece here. He even states that he will soon create a DVD about the making of the shield so people at home can create their own props. Who else would to make some of their own Zelda props? I know I would.

It makes me want to go back to my childhood, where I clad myself in amazing princess armor, picked up my sword and shield and battled it out with my totally unwilling little sister.
