Come Hear an Outset Island Theme Cover Only Using Floppy Disk Drives

Many instruments have been used throughout the years to recreate and even remix some iconic music from the
Zelda series. There are of course the usual suspects like a piano, guitar, violin, harp, ukulele, and even one’s own voice. The instruments being used for this cover are definitely something I never thought I would ever cover for this site. I say this because the musician we’re looking at today used literal computer hardware to give us one of the more interesting covers I think I’ve ever heard.
In a recent post, YouTuber
vaser888 has given us a cover of the Outset Island theme from The Wind Waker, by using nine floppy disk drives. It is hands down the most unique way of creating music that I have ever seen. This isn’t the first time that they have done this either as their YouTube channel is dedicating to making covers of music from popular musicians and franchises.
Just last week they did the Dragon Roost Island theme using the same amount of floppy disk drives. Other work vaser888 has done includes endeavors on other series like Undertale, Super Mario 64, and Pokémon. They even take requests if you want to hear something in this form of music making.
What do you think of this very interesting cover? Will you be checking out any more of vaser888’s work? Let us know in the comments below.
