Note to Mom

The Note to Mom is an item in The Wind Waker.

Overview

Link receives the Note to Mom from Baito, a part-time worker in the Dragon Roost Island postal service.[1] He is impressed with Link's ability to sort 25 letters in a short period of time and asks if he can see it.[2][3] When Link succeeds at Mail Sorting, Baito is so amazed that he decides to write his mother, Kashiko, about it.[4] However, he is not allowed to leave because of his job, so he asks Link to deliver it for him.[5] Link then can take the Note to Mom and place it in any Postbox.

Later, Link receives a letter from Baito's mother in response. She thanks Link for encouraging her son and gives him a Piece of Heart in gratitude.[6]
