Joanne is the sister of Jolene in Phantom Hourglass. She dresses up like a mermaid. She can be first seen in the waters surrounding Bannan Island. She only talks to Link after he defeats all enemies in the area. Joanne acts and dresses as if she is a mermaid for the Old Wayfarer. Joanne also believes that her sister, Jolene, is only pretending to be a pirate. She is part of a mermaid side quest, which leads to Link receiving the Fishing Rod. At one point in the game, Link accidentally receives a letter from Jolene to Joanne. If Link delivers it to Joanne, he will receive a Wisdom Gem from her.
