One very lucky group of subway riders in Moncloa, Madrid were treated to a surprise Symphony of the Goddesses performance. Here’s some exciting news for Zelda fans in the New York area. On Friday, September 4th at 6 PM Eastern, the Nintendo World Store in New York City will be holding a special performance by “The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses – Master Quartet.” Alongside the performance, Nintendo World also promises an Ocarina demo, a cosplay photo op, and plenty of Zelda symphony merchandise available for purchase during the night’s events… 

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses has just announced seventeen new concerts. If you have never had a chance to experience the Symphony live this could be it. Approved by Eiji Aonuma and Nintendo composer and sound director Koji Kondo, this event is a four movement symphony set to a backdrop of in-game footage from titles across the series. With compositions from Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, A Link to the Past, and many more, it is both captivating and nostalgic in just the right ways…

The well-known concert series The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses is currently performing its third tour called “Master Quest.” Until recently not much has been known about the tour dates and locations for their performances; however, now the schedule has revealed performances for all of 2015. The Symphony of the Goddesses series of concerts has been met with overwhelming praise and affection, so much so that new dates have recently been announced in accordance with the second round of concerts known as the Second Quest. The conductor of the concerts, Eimear Noone recently sat down with the UK Official Nintendo Magazine (ONM) to discuss the performance at E3 2011 and the appeal of the series as a whole. As most of you know, Zelda Reorchestrated (ZREO) has been showing their love for the series by producing beautiful symphonic performances of various Zelda scores for almost a decade now.  Unfortunately, that time has come to an end, and ZREO is ending their fantastic musical journey.  We here at Zelda Dungeon are woeful that this experience has ended so suddenly, and would like to give a personal thanks to the team of Zelda fans who worked on creating beautiful recreations…

Fans of the Legend of Zelda who have had the opportunity to see the Symphony of the Goddesses show live have experienced a real treat. There is nothing quite like sitting in a sold-out theater with your fellow Zelda fans and listening to orchestrations from your favorite gaming series. The nostalgia and emotion is something unparallelled. 

Having just come off a very successful tour to Australia last month, the Symphony is slated to appear this month in Portland, before heading over to Europe in May. Just recently, even more dates for North America have been added to the tour.

Come June to September and those of you in Canada and the United States will have the opportunity to find out what the show is all about, or even to see it again, because it is that damn good. The full list of upcoming dates can be found after the jump.

Europe has already received great Zelda news in the form of Ocarina of Time 3D going on sale as mentioned in today’s Nintendo Direct. It has transpired though that this was not the only piece of good news for European fans of the Zelda franchise.
