Game announcements are certainly exciting. It’s the first step to getting our hands on a new experience, adventure, or thrill. Zelda games certainly aren’t exempt from this excitement, so Spike TV’s Video Game Awards on Saturday bring some promise for the Nintendo community. We’ll ultimately have to wait and see what’s in store, but hit the jump to see what’s being teased for tomorrow!

The Wind Waker has the slightly ominous distinction for being one of the most divisive Zelda games in the history of the series. Once again The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has managed to make it’s way as a Game of the Year nominee. The British Academy Video Game Awards, or BAFTA, has nominated Skyward Sword along with nine other titles for the chance to win this award. After the latest Spike TV Video Game Awards this evening the winners have been announced. Even with high hopes Skyward Sword did not win Game of the Year, that honor went to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Zelda however did win in two other categories, Best Wii Game and Best Motion Game. Both are very clear wins for Zelda. Skyward Sword was still a strong contender this year going up against other industry giants such as Elder Scrolls and Batman:Arkham City….
