Last week, we reported that video streaming juggernaut Netflix was in talks to produce a live action Legend of Zelda series. As shown in the various discussions taken place over the weekend, we all have our own distinct perspectives on the news. The aspect of the series that many fans feel needs to be treated correctly is the presentation of the Zelda characters we all know and love. Undeniably, the most important character to consider is series protagonist Link, as his treatment in the Netflix series has the ability to completely make or break the series for fans…

The idea of using The Legend of Zelda for a TV show or film has been debated by many as being the best and worst thing that could happen to the franchise. An animated 13-episode Zelda television series aired back in 1989, but that didn’t really hit home with the fans. Well, it appears that Netflix is wanting to take a stab at making the idea work.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Netflix is teaming up with Nintendo to make a live action Zelda series, described as being a more “family friendly” version of “Game of Thrones” . . .

The marketing campaign for the newest Zelda title has expanded to the United Kingdom, where they’ve received a brand new television advertisement featuring some awesome footage of the game! This follows yesterday’s release of an advertisement in the United States, and certainly serves its purpose in making me want to buy the game! Hit the jump to watch it performed!

Though apparently this project started all the way back in 2009, and Zelda Dungeon is a partner website, I’ve only recently discovered the series, and I’m extremely impressed. So far they’ve written a little more than 100 pages, and I’ve enjoyed…

Here we have a comical video put together by YouTube user twilitprincess. She took clips from cut scenes of Skyward Sword and edited sound and music to go with specific parts of the video. Some of the sounds featured in the video were taken from Spongebob, the movie Happy Gilmore, the song Sexy and I Know It, and more. Altogether, it’s a rather interesting compilation. Younger viewers are cautioned before watching the video, because not all the language is appropriate….

Zelda Dungeon has been reporting on the online competition hosted by G4 to determine the greatest video game franchise over the last few weeks. Voting concluded on Monday April 25, Morgan Webb announced the victor on X-Play to be Legend of Zelda over top contender Starcraft. As two franchise giants each commanding legions of loyal fans facing off in the final round, Starcraft was definitely tough competition but Zelda eventually won out in the end.  After four rounds with thirty two…
