Welcome everyone to Zelda Artist Exposition! Readers, you probably know the drill by now but if not I will explain the idea. This series of features was created to expose Zelda-centric artists who deserve more recognition or are just incredibly talented in general. If you have an artist you would like to see featured, I am all ears. All I ask is that they have at least three pieces of artwork relating to the Legend of Zelda series. Today’s featured…

Okay, this one’s a bit weird for me to review. The Palace of Twilight is the second to last dungeon of Twilight Princess, and like the true final dungeon, it’s a bit shorter and less impressive than you’d think; both of the game’s final dungeons dial it down a bit and are on the shorter, more straightforward side. On paper this is a lame move and normally it would be something I’d criticize the dungeon for more than I do,…

Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is on deviantart artist Penril’s Zelda II fanart, “Shadow Link“. In this artwork it shows Link looking around searching for something. The light from the lantern he’s holding expands his shadow and shows that his shadow is coming to life and is attempting to kill him. The shadow possesses menacing red glowing eyes and an evil grin. These two features give the shadow a truly evil look and helps to focus the attention of the viewer…

Youtube user and pianist thomandy (Thomas Andersen) has uploaded a handy tutorial on how to play The Song of the Hero from the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on piano. In addition to his performance, he has put up a little box on the top of the screen, assisting the viewer by giving advice on what to do, for example to keep the melody on the left hand. Check the video after the jump.

If any of you have searched for Zelda song covers on youtube chances are you have came across atleast one of Casper’s guitar covers. Over the past couple of years he has been making full studio quality covers of his favorite Nintendo songs. The majority have been from The Legend of Zelda and are not only just standard covers. Recording several lead and rhythm guitar tracks along with bass, drum, and keyboard tracks, his covers all stay true to the…

I’ve made no secret of my love for Majora’s Mask. I’ve stated numerous times across all my videos and articles that it’s my favorite Zelda game, and although I haven’t written about it recently, that hasn’t changed. Of all the things I love about Majora’s Mask, it’s actually a single region that stands out the most for me. That region is Ikana Canyon, the last full area that is visited in the game. Part of my affinity for this region…

Mailbag time, guys! And man, they just keep getting bigger! 8 questions, then 10 questions, now 12! Yes, 12! I wouldn’t count on it always being this much, though. It was kind of a matter of the questions I got this time. The questions answered and their timestamps: (00:06) – What is your favorite dungeon and why? (00:44) – Is there a Zelda game you didn’t even like? (01:11) – What aspects of TWW did you like the most? (02:23)…
