Yesterday we shared scans from Hyrule Warriors Legends of both Skull Kid and Phantom Ganon from a recent article in Famitsu Magazine. Now we are getting more details about both characters as well as some gameplay functionality. Some of this might be new information to those of you that are not as familiar with Skull Kid and Phantom Ganon, but for some of you most of this will not come as all that much of a surprise. According to the…

In this week’s issue of Famitsu Magazine, it has been revealed that Skull Kid will be a playable character in the upcoming title, Hyrule Warriors Legends with his very own Ocarina and a fairy by his side! That isn’t the only news we have to share, according to Famitsu we will also be seeing the return of Phantom Ganon as a boss in the game! Could this be the new details that had been teased about the game last week? Since Hyrule…

In most Zelda games, you’ll find a specific pattern repeated throughout every dungeon. One of these being the mini-boss of each dungeon and usually, they’re pretty easy to defeat (unless they have something more complicated to them). You can even find them outside of dungeons! There are tons of mini-bosses, sometimes some are brought from a previous installment to another. But the question here is: Which is your favorite? To read more into it, hit the jump to check it…

Final dungeons in Zelda games are sort of an interesting topic all by themselves. I’m not sure if it’s a widely-discussed topic, but there’s certainly a lot of different ways of executing such areas in Zelda games, as I’ve written multiple times in the past. The Wind Waker might by my least-favorite Zelda game (don’t stab me!) but I’ve certainly liked some of its dungeons, so how do I feel about the very last stretch of the game? Ganon’s Tower…

Sorry for the two-week hiatus, but it’s finally time for me to review the Forsaken Fortress. This dungeon is easily The Wind Waker’s most iconic. Dragon Roost Cavern was shown a lot in trailers, but the Forsaken Fortress featured in numerous pieces of the game’s artwork, is home to most of the game’s most significant enemies, and is visited twice due to its great story importance. The Forsaken Fortress is an odd case. While there are a few other dungeons…

The Legend of Zelda series has seen some amazing boss fights over the years, but if there’s one that sticks out for me, it’s the fight against Phantom Ganon at the end of the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time. If you want to come out of that one alive, you require both skill with the controller and the ability to discern the boss’ patterns; and let’s not forget that it’s one of the most aesthetically pleasing in the series….

LIMITED CHANCE–ITEM NO LONGER AVAILABLE I have seen some pretty cool Zelda shirts in my time, but today something has trumped most of my favorites. Shirt design website ShirtPunch has a one-day-only special running right now on two shirts: one is a mash-up of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Rosie the Riveter, while the other… well, jump inside to see for yourself!

Alright, so I’ve already talked about the Child Link dungeons of the game, going way into detail on the dungeons that essentially form the introduction of Ocarina of Time. Now I will be reviewing and examining the Forest Temple, the first of the game’s Adult Link dungeons, and this is significant because the second portion of the game is practically designed as the game’s true beginning. The Child Link dungeons have relatively simple design compared to the Adult Link ones,…

Today’s Fanart Spotlight is from a self-taught artist that goes by the name of doubleleaf. Link vs Phantom Ganon is a brilliantly drawn scene of the memorable Ocarina of Time battle. As Link is dashing away, trying to put some distance between himself and his foe, Phantom Ganon looks to be in a very confident position. The artist uses the placement of the characters to make this a tense scene, the two even exchanging glances at each other. This artwork…
