It should not surprise anyone that many pieces of art have been made of characters from the Legend of Zelda series; popular game franchises have always appealed to certain artists and collectors. However, not many game franchises have seen such an array of different styles and mediums from which these artistic creations can come to life.  One such popular medium of fan art for the Legend of Zelda is sculptures.  There are official figures, fan-made figures, and stylistic figures which…

As we all know, the Legend of Zelda fan community is passionate and quite vocal about the opinions that are shared and/or disputed amongst its members about one of Nintendo’s most famous franchises.  One such example of this enthusiasm can be seen in the incredible amount of support that Operation Moonfall has gathered.  For those of you who do not know, following the release of Ocarina of Time 3D on the Nintendo 3DS, an objective dubbed “Operation Moonfall” was created…

Almost every individual who considers themselves a “gamer” and has half-decent taste expresses a great respect towards Ocarina of Time or just Zelda in general.  And why shouldn’t they?  Ocarina of Time is arguably the best Zelda game to date.  Also, Ocarina of Time was a pinnacle in gaming history, marking the beginning of 3D graphics and gameplay.  So with that said, it comes with no surprise that Miyamoto had the most fun creating this wonderful N64 masterpiece that will go down in…

Howdy, and welcome to the next segment of my weekly Timeshift Thursday feature! Most Zelda fans were introduced to the world of Hyrule by starting off in the gorgeous Kokiri Forest; at least I was. I’m sure plenty of readers remember slotting in the masterpiece of Ocarina of Time into their Nintendo 64 console and, for the first time, control Link in a full 3D environment. Kokiri Forest was the perfect introduction for newcomers and old-timers to start a Zelda adventure because of its spacious, beautiful environment, joyous themes of its inhabitants, the…

This week’s Windmill Hut is an in depth review of a YouTube gem known as thomandy. His channel is almost completely dedicated to cover songs on the piano, and a great deal of them are from the Zelda series. At the awesome quality of his performances, I find it astounding that most of his videos don’t have that many views. I believe he deserves to sit among the YouTube Zelda cover artist greats. Jump in to see why.

Glitches in The Legend of Zelda series are well known and none are more notorious for them as Ocarina of Time. The game has a vast amount of glitches with some being useful, some being fun and others just ruining your game completely. With so many fans playing the game time after time and discovering almost everything they can about the game sometimes you would notice something was a little off. This led fans to start experiencing the game in…

One of the many new features with the remake of Ocarina of Time 3D is the inclusion of the Boss Challenge. At any point during the quest, Link can return to his tree house in Kokiri Forest. Inside his tree house this time around, Link will have the option of talking to his own bed. In doing so he’ll have choice of going to sleep, which basically allows you to rest up and fill up your hearts. However, the more…
