Fallout 4 was one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, and the freedom of its open-world gameplay mechanics surely struck a chord with Zelda fans who are hoping Zelda Wii U will achieve the same level of player-autonomy. Since we’ve got to wait for quite some time before Zelda Wii U’s release, why not modify the Fallout 4 experience to be a little more like Zelda? It is possible to alter the texture of two swords in…

Sometimes things aren’t always what they seem, even the Lens of Truth has its limitations. Most Zelda games have some sort of plot twist changing the way you view what’s going on and sometimes affecting your goal. Not too long ago I posted about a video showing the ‘true’ ending to Majora’s Mask but now we have the other end of the game: the beginning. YouTuber The Alien Banana has created a short animation showing the true reason the moon…

Hello to all you Zelda fans out there! Although you have probably heard it far too many times, welcome everyone to another installment of Zelda Artist Exposition — the feature series where I shine a spotlight on a Zelda fan artist that I believe deserves more recognition. The goal of these is to spread the joy of art and Zelda as much as possible. In the traditional fashion, if you have an artist you would like me to feature, please…

Is anybody here interested in tarot cards? Perhaps you like their aesthetic value. Perhaps you enjoy otherworldly endeavors. Either way, these Zelda-themed tarot cards from the Etsy store PixelPerks might catch you interest. These predominantly Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask-inspired cards are both very well designed and very well crafted. Hit the jump to see more about these nifty little art pieces.

In both of my last editorals, I mentioned how one of my favorite things about Zelda was how dramatic it can be when it wants to be. So, I decided to make a top five list of my favorite dramatic moments in Zelda’s history. These moments were chosen by me alone, and are among my favorite moments in Zelda all together. But there are also some major spoilers, so keep that in mind. Hit the jump to see my picks!

Majora’s Mask is definitely my favorite Zelda, though for different reasons than most. While I love the side-quests and the depressing themes present, what sells the game for me is the dramatic and serious elements in the game. The Moon is going to crash and kill everyone in Termina if you, the hero, do not intervene and save them. Nothing in Termina will remain. All those characters, with their intricate routines and side-quests… gone. Tragic, isn’t it? Except for the…

Majora’s Mask dress

For someone who wouldn’t put Majora’s Mask in their top five favorite Zelda games I seem to do a lot of posts about the game, ranging from theories about whether or not Link is alive during the course of the game to listing some of the fun things to do around Termina. When it comes to Zelda merchandise, there are plenty of trinkets to collect: figurines, posters, jewelry, cases, the list goes on. I have a Triforce keyring! Also, there…

I have been making videos on YouTube for over two years now, and seeing as The Legend of Zelda is my favourite game series, I’ve done several videos involving the series. My thoughts on Majora’s Mask are probably well known around here as I’ve mentioned a few times that I’m not a massive fan of it. I like the game, sure, and I’ve completed it several times but I prefer most other Zelda games over Majora’s Mask. However, I can’t…

Majora’s Mask is “that” Zelda game. For a while considered the black sheep of the series or an underrated gem — though it’s really neither by this point — it’s perhaps most of all seen as a very mysterious and strange game. Scenes are often surreal and indistinct, confusing, or just thought-provoking. And many of the plot points are not well-explained, with unclear origins. I’ve always been a fan of looking at its mysteries and trying to figure them out,…

By now you can probably already guess the origin of this comic- the trademark light blue fill colors and the dark blue outlines of Brawl in the Family that has become perhaps the most memorable Nintendo webcomic. This week we have some Majora’s Mask humor, but it also comes with a bit of reconsideration about the whole ending-of-the-world thing. At least this moon doesn’t quite have that terrifying stare. He even looks a bit scared, doesn’t he? Hit the jump to read the…
