Do you ever wonder about the life of recurring characters within The Legend of Zelda franchise? What happens to these characters in the space of time that spans each game they are featured in? One of the characters that has been heavily debated about is Malon; more specifically could she actually harbor secret feelings for our hero? What if they have a relationship that extends beyond what we have seen within the games? These questions are the basis of some…

The YouTube channel, Escapist Plays has uploaded their latest episode of Cosplay Closet inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In this episode Chloe and Catherine show off one of their favorite characters from Ocarina of Time with the help of professional Cosplayer, Adella. The trio help you incorporate several elements from a cosplay inspired by Malon into your everyday wardrobe. For an extra treat, Chloe and Catherine even show you how to make your very own Lon Lon…

It comes as no surprise that characters from The Legend of Zelda often make appearances in more than just one title, since most of Link’s adventures follow the same ancient prophecy. But aside from the core characters that are expected to return, many less important characters tend to pop up in multiple titles in one way or another as well. While they may be entertaining references for those players who recognize them, is the recycling of characters getting old? Alexis…

Hello all! Here again is a Zelda Artist Exposition—the series of artist-based features I created to recognize talented creators and share the joy of art. Please feel free and welcome to suggest artists to feature. Just let it be someone you think is quite special. The subject of today’s editorial is Woodland-Mel.

This new/modified editorial series is an evolution of sorts of Favorite Zelda Moments, where, instead of simply discussing my favorite moments and talking about why I like them so much, I’m going to examine notable moments in the series in general — whether I’m personally fond of them or not — and give my thoughts on them. I’d like to start off with something I’ve talked about a bit before, which is Epona in Ocarina of Time. And, you know,…

Here it is, my final analysis of Ocarina of Time characters before I move on to characters from Majora’s Mask. A small compilation of some of the more significant side-characters, each individual analysis will look at a single aspect of each character/s, and explore the possible causes for each aspect. So without further ado, let’s get straight into it!

Hello Zelda Dungeoners, and welcome to another weekly dose of Flute Boy’s Meadow! This week, I felt compelled to cover a song that’s different; something unique, something that worked well with all the excitement of E3. Unfortunately most of my ideas stunk. Then it occurred to me; nobody is going to need help getting excited this week with all the great game announcements, so why not shoot for something more on the quiet side so people can take a break…

Welcome to another edition of the Zelda Fanart Spotlight. Today’s we are taking a look at a digital painting from Mexican artist R-SRaven. It features a touching portrait of Malon and Epona called Bring him back safely. The title helps tell the story of the painting, as Malon does what she can to help the Hero of Time on his journey and prepares Epona for the next time Link calls on her.

The incredible team at The Zelda Project have very recently updated their website with a photo-shoot of Lon Lon Ranch, and it is absolutely amazing. I don’t know about you all, but I’ve always felt that, even in Ocarina of Time 3D Lon Lon Ranch and Malon have looked a bit peculiar, but The Zelda Project changes all that. Hit the jump to see the photos!

Throughout the Zelda titles, there are a select few supporting characters that stand out to me as particularly strong. I’m not talking about major characters like Zelda, Midna, or Marin, who I would consider main characters, but the denizens who populate the surrounding areas of Zelda games. Malon and Talon are certainly standouts. They’re integrated well into gameplay, as they’re introduced in the main quest, but several subsequent in-game quests allow their characters to develop further. Win Epona from Ingo…
