I was super excited when I heard that there was another interview about Skyward Sword. Actually, anything Zelda related is awesome but new info about a new game that is just about to be released is always a plus! It is also a chance to try and get behind the scenes of what goes on in their heads while doing what they do best which is making Zelda games. Wired.com had an interview with Koji Kondo and Eiji Aonuma in the form of a joint telephone call on Friday and talked about such things as dealing with certain music from Ocarina of Time, the orchestra for Skyward Sword music and other such things. Take the jump to read about the interview.

The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary is inspiring many fans to get creative and make their own Zelda creations in different forms including Youtube videos. There is an amazing remixed version of the Ocarina of Time’s Temple of Time song on Youtube from the user Deltasniper360.
This version just really has a very mystical and haunting sound to it. When I hear it, it makes me think about how sacred of a place the Temple of Time really is. A place that plays such an important role in the game and that can send Link back and forth through time definitely deserves a theme that sounds this epic. I love the monks in it and it ranks high among my favorite remixes. Hurry and take the jump to check out this awesome video.

Here’s your chance to really immerse yourself in the Zelda world and make your reality as Zelda-esque as ever. Saturday, October 29th, is Zelda Takeover Day! It takes place near Old Market Square in Nottingham, England so, if you are in the UK on this day, you should go check it out! This event is courtesy of Gamecity and is meant to celebrate Legend of Zelda’s 25th Anniversary. Not only will there be a chance to play Skyward Sword before the November 18th UK release date, but there will also be many activities and things to see that relate to the Zelda world as well.
Gamecity is teaming up with Official Nintendo Magazine to try to set a world record. They are going to try to find six Zelda savvy gamers to tag team it through all of the Zelda games from beginning to end. Old Market Square will transform into a market village not unlike the one in Hyrule Castle in Ocarina of Time or Castle Town in Twilight Princess. A Lon-Lon Milk Bar will be located there where you can buy refreshments. Heroes at heart can set about their own quest in a kind of hunt to find the Triforce pieces but don’t forget to arm yourself first by making your own sword and shield! Ever feel like playing the Ocarina? Limited Edition Ocarinas with the Zelda mark on them will be given away and if you get one you might be able to play the Ocarina in a show with the Ocarina Orchestra, which will be playing Zelda songs all during the day.

Weekly Famitsu, a Japanese gaming magazine, releases a list of the top 25 most wanted games of the readers on a semi-regular basis and they recently have a new list out. Not surprisingly, Skyward Sword not only made it onto the list but landed one of the upper ranks coming in at #7! You can take a look at the list and see what you think about it.
Personally, I think it should have been higher. I know that nobody has played it yet since it hasn’t been released yet but, from what I have seen and heard about it, it sounds spectacular. I expect nothing less from the Zelda game line. One of the things I am particularly excited about that I heard about the game is catching the insects and using them for potions. I would never drink a potion made with a bug but I’ll make Link drink some! That is only one of the many parts of the game I look forward to though. Zelda being surpassed by Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games just doesn’t make sense to me but I suppose everyone has their own taste in games. Having been a loyal Zelda lover for most all of my life I couldn’t ever imagine putting any game above it. What game are you loyal to? Would you put any game above Zelda?

The guys that brought us the stop-motion Tetris animation on Minecraft are back and this time they have created an animation using the Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. This creation covers the opening scenes and the first three minutes of gameplay. It took them over a span of five weeks and over 1000 still images to create the final video. The creators of this animation have indicated that many, including Minecraft’s creator, Notch, have doubts about the veracity of the video. No official quote was given about this. Check out the video and hear my thoughts after the jump.

Yet again, we have even more great new artwork from Skyward Sword. Most of these come from the Ancient Cistern area. We have a lot of new artwork, some of which includes some lovely artwork of a Parella, the beautiful seahorse-looking creatures, a bug catching net, not unlike that of the one from A Link To The Past, that will be used to catch the insects that will be used for potions. And we also have a picture of the golden statue boss from the Ancient Cistern dungeon. We also have some screenshots that have different angles from familiar places. Looks like we got Link using his trusty whip to defeat various evil creatures. We also have him using a net to catch an insect which I believe is a Blessed Butterfly! Right after the jump we have a few examples of the new stuff:

Zelda fan, Hylian Jean, attended Seattle’s anime and video game convention, Sakuracon 2011, in style as she dressed as Zora Queen Rutela from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. This costume is completely custom made and took about two months to complete. The head and tail are made from shaved foam and polyester batting with a mask extension made of claycrete. These, she said, took her the longest to make. I think this costume gives a realistic representation of Queen Rutela. In my opinion, Hylian Jean did an amazing job. Check out more pictures inside.

On October 10, Danny Bivens was lucky enough to get the chance to attend the Legend of Zelda 25th anniversary concert in Japan. Not only did he get to hear this amazing symphony performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra but he got to see appearances by Shigeru Miyamoto, Eiji Aonuma, Koji Kondo, and Shoko Nakagawa, who is a Japanese idol and major Zelda fan. Venue rules prevented Bivens from taking any pictures of the actual event but he was able to get some from outside of the hall and the event program. Jump inside to see a few of the pictures and be sure to check them all out here.

If you haven’t put The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Limited Edition on preorder yet, you had better get moving because they aren’t going to be available forever. Nintendo of Europe warns us that there is getting to be a short supply of games to go around.
“*Stocks are limited and the limited edition bundle will mainly be available to fans who pre-order from GAME or Amazon. It is possible that part of the stock will be available at retail following the pre-order period.”
-NoE
This shortage may very well be only in Europe seeing as how Nintendo of Europe is the one who said this but it may also be everywhere. Letting everyone know just to be sure. Wouldn’t want anyone to be left out now would we? Have you preordered yet? What was your reason for wanting the Limited Edition? The gold Wiimote? The Soundtrack? Comment down below and let us know!

Although gamers have been getting tattoos of their favorite video game heroes for a while now, there is no sign of a fading in the popularity of Zelda tattoos. I just find them to be completely intriguing. The personality of a person can really be represented by what type of tattoo they choose to get.
