Hello and welcome to another fanart spotlight! This week, we are treated to a fantastic piece based off of The Wind Waker called Forsaken Voyage by Luke Joseph Gonet. The artist used the 3D modeling program Maya along with some Photoshop magic to recreate this imaginative version of the Forsaken Fortress. When I first stumbled across this piece on Tumblr, I almost mistook it for a screenshot of the new HD version of the game and was very impressed with…

Welcome to another Fanart Spotlight! Today we are going to take a look at at a piece of Digital Art based on The Wind Waker called “Unbreakable Spirit” by DeviantART member lulles. Although it’s a digital piece, the artist made the work look as though it was created with traditional mediums. The technique of making digital art look more organic has become popular in recent months, and it’s no surprise why it’s caught on. You still have the immense amount…

For today’s Fanart Spotlight, we are going to take a look at a picture inspired by The Wind Waker called “Kill the Plant” by Finnish artist Merrycka. It features Link facing the Forest Haven final boss Kalle Demos. Although this piece retains The Wind Waker’s distinct cel-shading look, it has a style of its own. The work features both Link and Zelda towards the end of The Wind Waker- Link fitted with the Master Sword and Mirror…

Hello and welcome to another edition of the Fanart Spotlight. This week we are taking a look at some gorgeous models by Swedish artist Linda. Her speciality is creating spiders that look real enough to scare any arachnophobe. She creates hand made models from super sculpey, using wires and foil for the skeleton, and painting the sculpey with acrylics. For added effect she also uses features to simulate fuzz which gives the model an added sense of realism.
