Operation Rainfall, the popular campaign to bring Majora’s Mask to the 3DS, is a thing of the past now, but looking back at it, there was a lot of great artists that created some awesome material to bring more attention to the Operation. One of them, Lyndon Willoughby, made easily some of the most notable contributions through the successful Kickstarter and distribution of Operation Moonfall printed posters. There were a few different ones, and they sold quite well. Nowadays, though,…

A flickr user named Wuppes has created a number of awesome, framed Zelda dioramas out of paper. The use of layers inside the frames simulate a 3D effect, similar to what you see in the 3D Classic versions of NES games on 3DS. Wuppes has made a diorama of the Windfish Egg from Link’s Awakening, the full map from A Link to the Past, and from the same game, one of Link pulling the Master Sword. The Master Sword one…

Lyon over at Bent Pins has recently posted one of his regularly produced comics, and it features an average night for Link in The Wind Waker. As he notes in the description, it is not a funny comic, like his usual material, but still a cute little comic nonetheless. Check out the comic after the jump!

Back in 2012, ahamling27, a map maker over on Curse.com, started releasing alpha versions of a Terraria map based on A Link to the Past. This past March, it finally released from alpha stages, and has fully released! YouTuber HERO, known for his extensive channel of How-To and Let’s Play videos based on Terraria, has begun a Let’s Play of the map. The map is also downloadable, and supports multiplayer, so join with your friends to venture through nine dugeons,…

Video games are a great way to relax and unwind on a slow day, and many like to kick back with a Zelda game and a nice, hot cup of tea. Thankfully, LadyDustBunny on Etsy is offering funny crocheted cozies for you cups/mugs, themed after Zelda herself, Shiek, and a Triforce design. You know, to keep your tea warm and cute-looking, and to keep some of us clumsy folk from burning ourselves. They are being sold at a reasonable price,…

Hyrule Warriors introduced several new weapons to the series that will likely never be used again in the main games, but that does not mean they are not still awesome. Zelda’s Gleaming Rapier has a very neat design, and reddit user Meitachi decided to try their hand at making a real version, and it looks pretty great. Check out the finished product after the jump!

In the past, we have covered creations by YouTube woodworker HappyAtom, as he makes some very cool and simple wooden Zelda creations, but now he is tackling something a bit more chalenging: Skyward Sword‘s Hylian Shield. He has thus far released the first part of the building process, and says that the second part will be out soon, so hit the jump to see the first video on making your own version of Link’s famous shield!

An artist called Vadu Amka has crafted a custom N64 design based on Ocarina of Time. Their friend Mika’s girlfriend ordered it as a surprise gift, as Mika is a big Zelda fan. It is a real shame that Vadu is not making these kinds of consoles available to buy. They would make a killing. Check out the finished product after the jump!

3D printing seems more and more popular these days, with anyone being able to design and share custom 3D models. A reddit user named rayjirdeoxys spent a good three hours printing this glossy, golden mantelpiece modelled after the classic Hyrulian royal crest. It turned out quite well, and it honestly looks like something you would see being sold on a website like Etsy for a high price. Check it out after the jump!

Legend of Zelda fans love to mark their territory in different areas of gaming whenever possible; whether this serves as a mating call to alert fellow fans of their presence, or simply as homage to the series that nurtured them is up for interpretation. We recently reported on the recreation of the original Legend of Zelda’s map in Minecraft, yet another recreation has been spotted in a PC game. The MMORPG WildStar gives players a lot of freedom in Housing…
