TwoBreaths, a musical duo consisting of twins Dragomira and Soryane, have composed a unique cover to Dragon Roost Island’s theme. The score is done completely on the harp played by Dragomira. Among the myriad video game soundtrack covers out there, Game & Sound’s work stands out for its exceptional MIDI-guitar pairing. The artist just made a resurgence with a cover of the Dragon Roost Island theme. Take a listen after the jump!

Just a few days ago we shared with you a creative cover of Midna’s Lament, with a marimba and guitar duo by the YouTube channel New Games Plus, and now we have another imaginative cover to share. This time the cover is for one of my favorite songs from The Wind Waker, the Dragon Roost Island Theme. This time, not only did they use a marimba and a guitar, but a woodblock, shaker, castanets, bass guitar and their hands too!…

For the second time this week, a marimba-based cover of a classic Zelda tune has captured our hearts with its creative take on a beloved theme. The band has created a number of…

Dragon Roost Island is strangely one of my favorite places in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It is home to the Rito tribe and the Sky Spirit Valoo, and because of that I feel it has this majestic and otherworldly presence. When seen from afar, when you first arrive aboard the King of Red Lions it doesn’t look like much as all you can see is a tall mountainous peak. But as you make your way through, you…

For some reminder of what the original The Wind Waker theme sounds like, check out this video before reading on. Zelda Reorchestrated actually has two versions of the theme, their original orchestration and a redux, and both have their merits. So hit the jump to listen!

I don’t remember a lot about the Wind Waker and that’s probably because I’ve only played it once. That being said, there was at least one special area I shan’t ever forgot on my first playthrough of this stunning gem. This area is the reason why I want to give the Wind Waker another shot and in doing so learn a lot about the different tribes and regions which remained after the flooding of Hyrule which occurred in the past…

We all know what Dragon Roost Island is, and you might guess that piano would have to do with some kind of cover. But what does noodle mean? Well in this case, the term is akin to improvisation/variation, but after listing to the piece a few times, I think that noodle is a much more suitable term. You’ll understand if you listen to the cover! So what are you waiting for? Hit the jump to listen!
