Baseball in Zelda

November 03 2013 by ralphpotato

In a series where mini-games are so common, why not play baseball? A favorite pastime of both America and Japan, it almost seems odd to me that it took this long to be put in the game. Of course, we all remember the Treasure Field, or digging game, that appeared first in A Link to the Past. I hope this baseball game in A Link Between Worlds can bring back that rushed excitement, just in batting form. Hit the jump to see some…

Cosplaying Zelda characters is not a rare sight. In fact, while at the Anime Revolution convention over the weekend, I saw dozens of Links and Zeldas roaming the halls. What I didn’t see, however, was a Navi cosplay… especially a Navi portrayed in this fashion, by Australian cosplayer Eve Beauregard. Whenever I imagined cosplaying Navi, the image that always popped into my head was a large puffy plushy thing. Never this amazing costume, that put a completely different spin on…

Perhaps this is due to the nature of the player usually bound by gravity whilst some random sprite can flutter around causing havoc without any care for physics. The popular site Destructoid has listed their top ten most annoying flying enemies, so hit the jump to see if any of what…

Destructoid has teamed up with credible analyst Jesse Divnich to bring gamers many E3 predictions, among them the possible announcement of Zelda 3DS at this year’s E3. Destructoid put to the test five contestants to answer questions: two of which were a horse and a coin, and one of which was a toddler. So I would only trust the esteemed gamer and the analyst, Jesse Divnich. Divnich gives short answers to fans’ burning questions, but it’s exciting to hear that…

Storm Dain over at Destructoid has posted a new entry in his Storm’s Adventure series, this time taking a look at Skyward Sword. Basically the videos in this series serve as reviews, but they are done in his own unique way. Storm seems to be another victim that couldn’t get over the hurdle in regards to the controls of Skyward Sword and he actually does a good job in elaborating his point. I actually agree with him when it comes…

The folks at Destructoid have written a new article discussing the control scheme of Skyward Sword and how that affected the review score last week. The article mostly comes as an explanation as to why the reviewer gave the game a 9.5 rating. He states that there was some criticism about the grade he gave so this article was an addition to his review so he could fully explain just why he thought that forcing a control scheme on players…
