Nintendo reached out to some of YouTube’s content creators in a “Wii U challenge” which aimed to create videos inspired by The Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World. We’ve already seen some of the videos that’ve been made in this project, however there are plenty of new ones to discover in a new 30 video playlist that Nintendo’s created. Details surrounding A Link Between Worlds‘ Hero Mode, announced not to long ago by Nintendo, have been released on the Zelda Universe Forums. Wondering how difficult it will be? Wondering if it is worth the second play through? Read more on it after the jump!

Not too long ago, we were given the details that there would be a more challenging difficulty level in The Wind Waker HD. Upon confirmation, Hero Mode can be playable from the start! You can also count on more difficult enemies that to do twice the damage and test the threat of losing hearts quicker, as they can only be recovered with potions. That’s right: no hearts can be found in the environment in this more challenging mode! Hit the…

Hey guys! New mailbag! Got a fair number of broad questions this time, covering wider topics relating to the series in general, but we’ve also got a pair of A Link to the Past questions this time, which is cool because we don’t see that a ton. Two Skyward Sword questions as well. And one that seems inspired by a joke I made on the Halloween mailbag! 11 questions in all. Enjoy! You can watch the video here or check…

A press release from Nintendo states the following: The new Boss Challenge mode acts as an extra treat for those players who reach a certain point within the game. It will provide players with the opportunity to face any of the previous Bosses they have defeated once again, or, the option to face and confront them one-by-one, all in a continuous battle. There’s a saying that “You can’t please everyone.” Yet this is often the challenge game designers face in the process of creating a game: to release a game that appeals to a wide variety of players, from young to old, from new gamers to veterans. When it came time to begin designing Ocarina of Time, it’s not hard to imagine that there were many challenges in transitioning the game play from 2D to 3D. One advantage, however, is easy to…

Our friends over at Zelda Eternity will be doing a live stream of Majora’s Mask today, starting at 6pm US Eastern Time. This is not going to be an ordinary stream as Mike, the webmaster of Zelda Eternity, will try to complete the 3-Day Challenge! What this means is that, after the beginning sequence of the game where Link recovers the Ocarina of Time and reverts back to his Hylian form, Mike will try to beat the entire game in…

Real FRICKEN’ big! You prepare for an intense fight against the big boss and whip out the weapon you found in the dungeon. Three blows into the battle… He’s dead. Wow, really?…

Hiya guys! Well, well, well, things just keep getting crazier don’t they? First that insane “888” (#8, with 8 questions and 8 songs) mailbag last week, and now a whopping 10 (10!!!) questions for this week! I’m going to try and make this quantity of questions somewhat standard, although I can 100% promise anything, especially if I get more complex questions. Here are the questions answered and their timestamps: (00:06) – What’s your least favorite Zelda game? (01:06) – What…
