It’s been a fun last couple of weeks, but the debates and the voting has come to an end. It is almost fitting that our first ever Zelda Versus Champion is Majora’s Mask, given our Operation Moonfall movement and the ode to our former staff, where Majora’s Mask was our clear cut favorite title. While this doesn’t hold true today, it seems only fitting that it wins our first ever Championship series. We have a new series starting later today – one which involves a tournament style choice for our favorite of Link’s companions/partners, but before we get into that it’s time we take a moment to reflect on Zelda Versus.

As always, things weren’t perfect. Many took issue with our brackets claiming bias, though this was never the case. The matchups were simply old verse new, and right or wrong it produced the type of bracket we ended up with. It is clear though that at the end of the day, the most preferred game currently in this community still took home the crown. It also proved that Skyward Sword is more popular among our fans than most of us realized. Still, we’ve learned a few lessons this year that we will apply to next years Zelda Versus tournament.

Of course, we want to know what you think. How do you think we did with Zelda Versus? What changes would you like to see with tournament style competitions in the future? Did you enjoy yourself?
