LEGO Ideas is the LEGO company’s website for fan-submitted LEGO sets and/or series. Anyone may submit their idea, and it must gain a set number of supporters to be considered by the LEGO company for production.

Recently, a new The Wind Waker style LEGO set has been gathering thousands of views and supporters. The set now has over 7.5K supporters, and is only 2.5K away from its goal of 10,000. More images of the set can be found in the gallery below.

Once the idea reaches 10K supporters, the LEGO company will review the set and consider it for mass-production. If the LEGO company’s experts deem the product acceptable and think it will sell, they will have to contact Nintendo and try to work out a deal. I surmise that if LEGO and Nintendo do reach an agreement, it could possibly open up a whole new series of Nintendo-based LEGO sets for all of Nintendo’s flagship characters, and could even result in more Zelda-based sets.

Are you going to go and support it here? What other Zelda games would you like to see LEGO sets to be based on? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
