Smash Bros Fan Creates Dark Link and Water Temple Inspired Link Amiibo

American fans received Super Smash Bros. for Wii U last Friday, while European fans will have to wait until next friday to pick up the game alongside any of the awesome amiibo they’re interested in! As the game did already release stateside, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that certain artistic and creative fans have already been tempering with the beloved figures.

DeviantArt frequenter ChibiSilverWings is one of the aforementioned persons that has been adjusting their amiibo as they see fit, and as a result has created two modifications related to the Zelda series; a Dark Link repaint, and a Water Temple/Spirit Temple resculpt. As stated, the Dark Link mod is a well-done repaint, basically adjusting colours to black, pale grey, or red to fit the general aesthetics of Dark Link thoughout the Zelda series. The slightly more impressive one is the Water Temple resculpt; the artist cut the character off it’s base, resculpted the boots to look like iron boots, repainted Link‘s tunic to blue, and completely remodeled Link’s Hylian shield to look like the Mirror shield!

Both of these works are very nicely crafted, with extreme attention to detail, and I would certainly love to get my hands on one of them! Interestingly enough, this is actually possible as the artist is selling the Water Temple version on her Etsy shop, so if you’re interested be sure to get your hands on it before someone else does!
