Minecraft has been giving fans with the patience and creativity the tools they need to pay tribute to some of their favorite movies, TV shows, and video games. Whether it’s making a 1:1 scale model of the U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek, or a life size model of Hogwarts from Harry Potter, the seemingly unlimited resources and space in the game have inspired countless players to reconstruct their favorite environments from other games. Kezsonaj, a member of the Minecraft forums, has spent roughly six months recreating the world of Ocarina of Time from scratch. The time and detail put into this project is nothing short of impressive, and the map will soon become playable to anyone who wants to access it.

This map will give people the opportunity to experience Ocarina of Time in a brand new way, with new textures and details put into the familiar surroundings. The outsides as well as the insides of many of the dungeons have been created, such as the inside of Death Mountain and two separate Lake Hylias — One that is full of water and one that is drained. Minecraft offers the immense scale that can give this world justice, allowing you to see Death Mountain looming ominously in the distance and the great monstrosity that is The Deku Tree. Scenes from the childhood timeline as well as the adult timeline are included. Players will be able to walk through the Market as a bustling city center and again as an abandoned derelict. What do you think of this project? If you play Minecraft, are you excited to get your hands on this map and explore Hyrule? Let us know what you think in the comments!
