Earlier today we shared with you some new footage from a fan made Twilight Princess HD project that many feel looks better than the job the team in Australia is doing on the official Twilight Princess HD game, slated to release next year. Sure, there are more limitations on the fan project – it requires emulators, beefy hardware to run consistently well, and to do it legally you have to actually rip your own ROM (simply downloading one is illegal even if you own the game). It’s something that will likely prevent this mod taking off outside of the modding community beyond us looking at videos and screenshots and being stunned at the results.

Speaking of visual media, the team behind this project has sent us seven brand new screenshots ripped directly from the work they are doing, showing off their latest changes to the game. Whether or not these changes impress you or are better than what you have seen from Nintendo’s attempt is totally up to you. I personally think these look better, but Nintendo’s project isn’t finished yet and there is much that could still be done. The debate over whether or not Twilight Princess HD is one of Nintendo’s laziest “remasters” will continue to rage on as it has been doing since the game was announced.

We’ll see how things fair when we see more of the game soon enough. Still, these screenshots are impressive. Thanks goes out the team behind the project for providing us these screenshots.
