Leaked Wind Waker HD Hero Mode Trailer – Special Edition Wii U Confirmed

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is an upcoming remake for the Nintendo Wii U. Featuring updated graphics, GamePad functionality, and improved features, The Wind Waker HD will also have a “Hero Mode” included. Basically, Hero Mode is The Wind Waker HD‘s story mode, but on a much higher difficulty level. Enemies do twice as much damage as they normally would and there are no hearts to conveniently find in tall grass and pots.

A trailer for this new Hero Mode was recently leaked onto the official US Legend of Zelda website, but was promptly taken down. Another tidbit that this trailer confirmed for us is that with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Nintendo Wii U bundle, there will be a special edition Wii U instead of just a simple Wii U.

Hero Mode sounds like a brand new challenge for gamers to welcome with The Wind Waker HD, so here’s to that! The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be releasing for the Nintendo Wii U later this year in October.
