Though my accent sounds NOTHING like what you'd expect from someone living in North West England, people always point out it actually sounds vaguely Canadian o.O

I like it here though... there's LOADS of hills/mountains/fells, so the landscape's beautiful to look at (when the weather actually decides to do something other than rain), at the towns are nearly always in valleys, so where ever you look, there'll be streets of houses curving up the slopes above you. When I really think about it, the thought of living somewhere flat fills me despair... I could never live down in the south D:
It's also only ever a train ride away to the coast, to a fairly large city like Manchester, Liverpool or York, or to the Lake District from here, which is great as well. I really wanna travel a bit more once I get my own vehicle!

But now you know the reason why I seem to be on at very strange times XD After all, I'm only an hour behind Smitie lol

I live in the oh so lovely city of Atlantic Beach, Florida, or if that's a mouthful, its pretty much Jacksonville, Florida.

I've lived here now for maybe five years. I've lived in other places in the Southeast section of the United States, and I would have to say that I feel most at home in Georgia since I was born there and its also a lot more fun for me there than it is here in Florida.

I would also like to get out of this country when I'm older. I want to visit a lot of countries.

I live in Halifax, the capitol of Nova Scotia... if you can even consider it that... I think it is the smallest capitol city in Canada. Although we have the largest natural harbour in the world. and no matter where you are in Nova Scotia you can get to a beach in less than 2 hours because of the shape of the province. If there was one thing that I would have to complain about, it is the fact that there is no amusement park here in town, or a waterpark. although we have a lot of pools, and beaches and parks are found outside of town... it gets really hot here in the summer and the winter is brutal with lots of snow and wind cause we are right on the Atlantic Ocean so i guess we have the best of both seasons. It's a nice enough place but I might want to move at some point.

I'm not going to hand out my address (though a few ZDers know it), but I will share of my home. I was born and raised in central Pennsylvania, or Pennsyltucky, where cow patty bingo and whoopie pies reign. The people in the area are mostly of German and Irish descent. ~20% of the population in my county is associated with simple living religions (Amish, Mennonite, or Brethren). We are comfortably seated in Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

Oh, and just because Josh thought it was funny, we also have Goose Day. It is unique to the county and it is based on superstition. Why eating goose on a random day in September is good luck is beyond me.

I live somewhere on the Eastern end of the US, in a beautiful forested locale with lots of rolling hills and trees everywhere. Funny thing about all the trees actually, since I spent most of my life in Illinois, where it's all just plains and grasslands, so when we moved to the East I remember just staring out the window of the car for hours gazing at all the trees. Took a while to get used to the hills too. I remember the lack of rabbits (common in Illinois) and abundance of deer (which we never saw in Illinois oddly enough) confused my mother so greatly she asked me if deer ate rabbits...

Ah, I never want to move out of the East coast, ever.

I'm from California, and I've only been in PA for a few years... honestly, I hate it. I was nice to see all the trees at first... but, I dunno. I miss the liveliness of the city. Sometimes people say I'd be happy in New York, but eh, I really don't like the east coast as a whole. I miss how alive and... well, more open-minded the west coast is. People there just seem more alive.

So, I'm staying in Pennsylvania until I can afford to escape from this place. My heart is in California, so that is where I live. Plus, it's a lot warmer there. :>

I'm from Western Mass(achusetts), near an "art town" littered with gross hipsters and stoners.
Yet we don't really have many of those in my town...Just old people, a few farms, and the smallest public school district in the state (my graduating class had 40 students. rad, eh?)
It's quaint, but I can't see it completely booming with industry.
We're all like family here, and it's incredibly safe other than the occasional rambunctious drunkard that tries to start stuff at the Polish Club.

It's nice. But I'm ready for a change.
Even though I'm headed to college in the most random little town in the Berkshires. There's literally nothing for miles except for forests and mountains, and then you have North Adams, which has a museum, a college and lots of old factory buildings transformed into mini shops.

As for where I live*looks under avy and opens up map*: The map points to a magical place on the US/Canada border called Niagara Falls. It's a decent sized city, but nothing too exciting happens here(unlike in Toronto, which is about a 2 hour drive or so). It's a city with lots of tourists(especially in the summer), so I have quite a few things to do here.

I am indeed an Ohio State Buckeye person, but not, like, football crazy or anything. Ohio actually has a nice climate—we get it all…except tsunamis, and has a bunch of wildlife. I've been living in a small village of roughly 3,500 in the southwest of Germany all my life. The next bigger city (200,000) is just few miles away, but the village itself is rather boring, nothing much to do here. The area around is mostly plain farmland, nothing special.
But what I like least here is the climate (I've ranted about it somewhere else here on the forums already): Summers are short and winters usually clouded and rainy (luckily snow is relatively rare), although prolonged cold and rainy phases also regularly occur in summer. It's "jacket time" from September all the way through May (if you're lucky: from November to March), and I really don't like that, so sometime I definitely want to move to a place where it's warmer and less boring, at least for some years or so. ATM (7:15 pm): cloudy and 4,3°C/39,7°F. Brrrrr.... >.<
