I expected to find a thread similar to this but couldn't. I'm sorry if I missed something however.

Anyway, I'm sure most of us have heard of Lost. Over the course of its six seasons, despite its ever-increasing popularity, the show has gained a reputation for being confusing and hard to follow. Questions lead to more questions, random characters and places are briefly shown and then immediately dropped, and of course, no one has any idea of where they truly are. But my question is, is the show actually hard to understand, or are the writers just be careless?

*MAJOR SPOILERS CONTINUE FROM HERE*

Now, recently, ABC has claimed that all of our questions will be answered. And to an extent, they've done this. We know of Richard's origins, how the statue of the four-toed foot broke, and apparantly the purpose of the island is to serve as an interment camp of sorts for "El Diablo", AKA the Smoke Monster. However, beyond this, I don't feel like we're getting much more closure. Instead of putting an end to old questions, new semi-related questions are raised and immediately answered. And while that's all good, it isn't exactly what I've been hoping for.

Your thoughts?

To me it is a poorly written show (sorry Alyssa my bbf)
See she tried to make me watch it and there was a monster involved and a man goes back to the island or something it is just all over the place! I cannot even understand 1/2 of it I understand Golden Girls and other shows but this one is just off the wall crazy!
