Got any pet peeves or minor things that annoy you personally?
Me myself, I'm usually a pretty calm guy, but despite that, I am easily agitated. There's a lot of things that get on my nerves, even if they don't flat out piss me off.
One of the big things for me is repetition and slowness. I always try to make sure I don't have to do or hear something repeatedly, and find ways to purposely streamline everything I do because I don't like wasting time.
Getting interrupted is another one. Especially for me because I pause a lot when I speak and people have a tendency to think I'm done speaking. :(
Other even more minor, more trivial things that can get on my nerves include... people saying "you should say this", and then proceeding to tell me. I don't mind hearing their opinion, but for some reason it annoys me when they tell me it's something I should say. Having to repeat myself more than once, although I suppose that goes along with repetition... badly trained dogs that go ape**** and charge me. I've also been known to get annoyed at girls (or people in general) who do the stereotypical "bubbly" "girly" thing, saying "like" way too much. Not always, but sometimes. Barbie, Bratz, or other doll commercials (not the toys or the idea, usually the annoying commercials). And I also tend to not like being ordered around, at least not unless it's certain people (like my mother or my boss... ones that have actual authority over me).
Big list. :P So how about you?

Hmm, well I hate it when people think I am ignoring them (long story, basically I am part deaf) so people think I am ignoring them and go all huffy on me when it isn't my fault!
I also hate it when people keep telling me they are right when I know they are wrong.

like meego, i am usually right, and evreyone around me is plain stupid. i also hate when people come around corners and say something when i dont notice them, it doesnt annoy me, but it scares the everloving **** outta me! i also hate when people are getting in trouble for doing something wrong when they do it right, so that gets me really badly. ALSO, this definatley wouldnt annoy most people, but it annoys the hell outta me, people always ask how santa makes it all the way around thee world in one night, TIME ZONES PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!! while it is day in china, it is night in america.

ooh god I hate it when people use texting for conversations. You want an actual conversation? Just call me. It's faster. Use texts for short messages, please.
I, too, have an issue with repeating things. I HATE having to repeat myself, so I get frustrated when people don't pick up what I said the first time around. Likewise, I hate it when people talk in circles. I already heard you the first time, just shut up.
One of my biggest pet peeves is the stereotyping of bubbly girls. :< I, myself, am a bubbly girl who said "like" every third word, so I hate it when people think we're dumb. Who'd have thought that being a happy person and talking a certain way would make one dumb? Jeez.
Another pet peeve is ******y men who think women can't/don't play games. These guys came into GameStop the other day and asked, "360 or PS3?" I started to explain the pros and cons of both, and they interrupted me to ask the males instead. I also had a guy tell his friend not to listen to me when he was interested in the Orange Box. He said, "She doesn't know, she's just a girl". SJFOPSDJFOJDOJF I am SO sick of jackass men. I swear the next one that does something like that will never be able to show his face in my store again.
And... I guess another pet peeve of mine is how if you talk to a member of the opposite sex, people want to consider it "flirting". That's such bullcrap. Why can't we just talk to people despite their gender? GOD FORBID I have a conversation about something with a MALE! Oooooh no! We both like XBOX so we're gonne get married and have a bajillion kids ohnoez! God... so freakin' stupid.
I guess my biggest pet peeve is just stupid people. Ugh.

Oh god.... I can be a pretty irrational person sometimes so a lot of things get on my nerves. However, I'll share one of the more justified ones.
I hate it when people get angry at waiters, or food servers in general. One, because it doesn't make the food come any faster, and two, because most of the time, it isn't that person's fault. For example, I was getting pizza with some friends, and one person who decided to tag along kept complaining the whole time "ZOMG, WHERE'S MY FOOD" and "WE'VE BEEN HERE FOR LIKE, 15 MINUTES, I GOTS THINGS TO DO". The guy at the counter was trying to serve up six orders at once while taking in new orders over the phone. Anyone with eyes could see that he was trying his hardest. And the guy complaining wasn't even paying. I was.
Less generously, another pet peeve I have are stupid people. You know who I'm talking about.

My biggest pet peeve is people. Not the people on ZD, but the people I meet in the real world. They just always annoy me and they always walk so slow. If people just walked a little faster then I would be okay, but they always have to talk to someone which decreases there speed to slower then a snails pace. I swear, one day I am going to push these people out of the way of a car because they are walking slow and they will try to thank me, but I'll tell them to shut up and walk faster.
Another thing that gets on my nerves are people who don't know how to cross the street. The city puts up crosswalks for a reason people. And when they finally cross at the crosswalk, they cross against the flow of traffic. Those kids are asking to get hit by a car. I want all those kids to get hit, because the cars have the right of way and should not have to slow down. The drivers that do slow down are awfully considerate.
My last pet peeve pits me against the world. I absolutely hate cell phones. Not just people on cell phones, but cell phones in general. My school enacted a no electronics policy and kids still carry their cell phones and they teachers knoe they do. The teachers are supposed to take away the phones, but they don't because they are too nice. Kids get everything they want and I'm sick of it. I too am a still a kid, but 75% of the things I want, my parents stop me from getting and I thank them for it eventually. These kids need to know what a house phone is and get one of those. I swear, if I come into a large sum of money legally, then I will develop an EMP that only destroys cell phones and every cell phone on Earth with finally be gone. Also, cell phones make people walk so slow which is my biggest pet peeve.

Lol, you just reminded of that. I despise people who walk slowly. I also hate people who, while walking in the hallway, see their friends and decide to stop and talk in the middle of a doorway. Seriously, can't you move to the side? Like, is what you have to say so important that you have to stop right where you are and start talking immediately?

I'm getting easily upset when driving in my car. I often get angry over lights that just turned red or are always red when I arrive (some of them are just very badly switched). But what is worse than that are drivers in front of me who just won't get going if the lights actually turn green, sometimes causing me to have to wait another period, grr... (what the hell are they waiting for? It won't become any greener). Or drivers in front of me doing 40 km/h on perfectly straight roads where the speed limit is 100 km/h, especially when there's too much oncoming traffic to overtake. But one thing that makes me extremely angry is the following situation: Imagine yourself on a highway without speed limit and with 3 lanes in each direction, and you're doing 180 km/h and then you see three trucks overtaking each other, the right one is doing 70 km/h, the middle one 72 km/h and the left one 74 km/h. I mean can't they wait just a little and leave the left lane free? Do they arrive so much later if they have to drive like 2 km/h slower for a minute and therefore have to block the rest of traffic? The bad thing is that such a constellation doesn't happen too rarely here...
I hate people who deliberately drive slowly, it's almost like they're trying to prove a point to people they don't know! Thank god for multi-lanes or I think I wouldn't be driving anymore.
I dislike it when people think your homosexual just because you play Zelda and they play Call of Duty. I love COD, they just obviously have some deep grudge against Zelda.
I hate it when someone posts or likes something on facebook, then deletes it before you can see what they've written. Not anything I loathe, just a tad annoying haha!
Taxi drivers who MASSIVELY take advantage of you after a night out.
Despicable.
I REALLY dislike Chancellor Alastair Darling's new budget report. Enough said.

One of my biggest pet peeves that I forgot to mention is having to work in groups. I have no problem with teamwork as long as the people I'm working with are hard workers and capable of delivering an outstanding final product, but it really, REALLY kills me to get paired up with slackers or morons. That's why I prefer working alone because I always feel like I can do whatever it is I'm doing better than anybody else in my group. I absolutely hate being handicapped by people on a lower skill level than I. Once, back in high school, a guy in my group was so incredibly stupid that I convinced him to stick a paper clip in the electrical sockets attached to our science lab tables. Needless to say, he was out of the group project, and that made obtaining a high grade much easier.
I also thought I might mention that another pet peeve of mine is being stalked by sales people in the dressing room. I mean, I understand that salesmen and women need to attend to customers on the sales floor, but if it's a clothing store and I'm trying stuff on, PLEASE for the love of Pete stop checking on me in the dressing room by constantly knocking on the door and asking if I need anything else. Weeeeeeird. That goes for shoe salesmen and women who constantly want to measure your feet. DON'T TOUCH MY FEET.
And... you know what's another pet peeve? When I see people being cruel to others. It's horrible. I saw this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ik4f1dRbP8) of the Tea Partiers mocking this incredible man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfvnNzgQy7Q), and it got me into a frenzy. I'm not trying to spark any political debates, I'm just pointing out how cruel those people were to him. I was so frustrated and angry that I kinda raged and kicked some stuff over and started crying. Just thinking about it is making me tear up right now. It's... god, people can be so incredibly cruel to others, and it's not right at all. I hate it. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.

I suppose my biggest pet peeve is apathy.
When I hear someone say, "Look at the beautiful stars" and think nothing more than that they are pretty to look at, it does nothing but get on my nerves. There is much more to it than pretty photons, but most people do not even care to know the reality of nature. There are enough who say they care about science, but many of them do not practice what they preach. How can one look up at the sky at night, and not be overcome with curiosity? How can one simply glance and not once consider further observation; to continue analysis for more than a basic understanding of the universe? I mentioned last night in a discussion that most people couldn't differentiate between a meteor, meteorite, or meteoroid. A third grader would laugh until they had a stomach ache to hear of an adult who didn't know there was a difference between these terms.
The universe is. This information is hidden from no one, but all forms of science and mathematics are present and laid out for us, and all it takes is for one person to simply care and be inquisitive about the laws of nature. Persons who lack an initiative, who feel as though even the most simple knowledge in a field of science or mathematics is unimportant, are the characteristics of beings that hinder our development and are nothing more than an annoyance.

The hallways at school are one of the biggest things to get on my nerves. Everytime school ends, a whole crowd starts walking through F(?) hall on both the left and right side. There is barely enough room for any one going against that flow to get by.
Seeing grammatical errors, or too much L337 speak. They normally annoy me or confuse me too much.
My last one would have to be my parents. They barge into my room way too much, and my school bought a license to this site called Oncourse, which allows my parents to see my grades at any time.

I really hate it when people correct my spelling just to show that I'm a horrible speller or in case of my english spelling, because they think I don't know what the right spelling is because I'm Dutch... My latin teacher used to correct every spelling mistake and wrote down the right version even though it didn't cost any points, but it made my test paper look more red and failing than it should be (although I wasn't the best latin translator to begin with...>.>). I know people mean it well, but it is so annoying to be reminded of your mistakes. I wouldn't be surprised that most of my posts here have spelling mistakes because my firefox uses a Dutch spelling check (which means almost every english word is considered wrong :P), but as long as you can read it that shouldn't be too much of a problem. And some english words are just evil, I still don't know the difference because they look too similar >.<
Anyways, another 'pet peeve' are people that are too late for an appointment, especially if it is for something important like a group project. When I have an appointment at 8 am, I'm there at 7:45 and every minute a person I have to wait for the other person, I'll go more and more insane. I start thinking I had the time or location wrong, that we later agreed to change the date, that I maybe should call the person, but later think I should wait one more minute then I start walking around the building to check if the person is already there but has forgotten to location, in other words I just seriously start losing my mind. You don't have to be as early as me, but just remember that every minute that I have to wait will make me more angry and frustrated.
Last not but least, I really hate people who think their favourite music is so awesome that everybody in their neighbourhood wants to hear it too. I just want to sit in the train staring at the window in peace and I don't need to hear the bass of a song. I don't know if it is because people are so deaf or their ear phones are so bad, but just turn that volume down! I'm not torturing you with orchestrated music, so don't annoy me with those popular songs. The same goes for the people who want to share their phone conversation. I had a guy sitting two rows in front of me who was angry because a meeting was cancelled or something and he started to call like 10 people saying the same rant over and over again -.-. A phone call in the train should not be longer than 5 minutes, otherwise just go sit on the train toilet and stop annoying others with your half of a stupid conversation.

I get really annoyed by people who constantly say "like". It's not because I think they're being stereotypically stupid or anything (stereotypes are a major pet peeve of mine too), it's just that I can't understand them. Similarly, major spelling, grammar, or capitalization errors on forums or other text-based chatting systems annoy me to no end.
I also have serious problems with people who throw around words like "gay", "retarded", and other such words in inappropriate derogatory ways. It gets so ridiculous sometimes. In every Spanish class I've ever taken, people laugh at the word "llegue" (which I think means something along the lines of "arrive", my Spanish is rusty) because they think it sounds like "yay-gay". In English, there are passages where the word "gay" is used to mean happy, and I hear people snickering at that. How immature can people get?!
Another odd pet peeve is when people don't capitalize Earth when referring to the planet. I think my Physics textbook refers to our planet as "earth". It annoys me to an irrational level.
I mentioned that I can't stand stereotypes, right? I really can't, even the good ones like "all Asians are smart". I get good grades, really good grades according to peers, and when people catch glances at my grades they always say "oh, it's because you're Asian!" Every time someone says that too me I involuntarily scream inside my head. I have no idea why stereotypes like that get under my skin so much.

One of my biggest pet peeves is the stereotyping of bubbly girls. :< I, myself, am a bubbly girl who said "like" every third word, so I hate it when people think we're dumb. Who'd have thought that being a happy person and talking a certain way would make one dumb? Jeez.
Sorry...
To clarify, though, I'm talking more of extremes. Using the word literally every other sentence... and mainly having that attitude but actually being unintelligent. I'm not associating that way of acting with the quality of being unintelligent at all.
I myself use the word "like" pretty often, and am a happy freaking guy. It's extremes and excessive frequency that bug me, but then again those two things bug me in any circumstance usually, so maybe it's not so much those qualities in people themselves. I dunno. >.< Thing is, it doesn't actually bother me all the time. Sometimes it bugs me a little, there was also that one time it made me furious, but other times it doesn't bug me at all. That leads me to believe there's a specific reason, although I couldn't really tell you what it is.
For the record, everything I listed pretty much are petty things. Things that aren't a big deal, that just irk me. Not like there's anything actually wrong with them. ;)

This may be a long list.
1. People who indiscriminately adopt new technology, but give up quickly on implementing it in situations where it might actually be useful, due to minor setbacks.
2. Dogs, and people who own them. They're so gross.
3. Two-door cars that have four seats, and require pushing the seats back and forth to get in/out.
4. Having to wear closed-toe shoes indoors. My feet can't breathe, and I can't relax. :(
5. Highly critical people who can't take criticism themselves.
6. Smoke detectors that can't tell the difference between a fire and lousy cooking, and that can't be deactivated for more than a few minutes.
7. People who presume to know what you want/need better than you do, but don't.
8. People who insist that their truth is everyone's truth.
9. Insects that can bite. They're really gross, but not as gross as dogs.
10. Rats. They can carry plague!
11. Running out of Diet Coke.
12. Having to eat at a restaurant when I'm already full, and THEN being asked if I want dessert.
13. Tasteless jokes that center around things like genitalia and race.
14. Macaroni and Cheese. That stuff makes me feel ill.
15. Being forced to pick where to eat when I have no preference.
16. People who are overly passionate about things, try to shove them in your face, and are oblivious to your lack of interest.
17. People who get offended because I don't want to eat/drink something they've already bitten into/taken a drink from it.
18. The social expectation that using pens instead of pencils is more "professional," and that I have to use a pen to sign my name. It makes me really anxious that I can't erase.
19. The fact that the touchscreen (thanks to the iPhone) and rotating through number pad are what's "in" now, and that I'm being called old-fashioned/silly for wanting an actual mini-keyboard on a phone that I'm expected to compose e-mails on.
20. The fact that most games use the Wiimote's motion detection in incredibly arbitrary ways that hurt my wrist to make up for the lack of buttons, rather than designing the game to actually be comfortable to play.
21. The fact that the US hasn't switched to the Metric system yet. It's really embarrassing that you can often pass for a scientist/academic here just by knowing how it works.
22. Constant spelling/grammatical errors, mispronunciation, and heavy use of slang. I don't mind an occasional slang word, but it can be overdone.
That's all for now. I'm an incredibly easy to annoy person, huh? ;)

^This. It has always annoyed me. Some girls just take it too far.
One thing I cannot stand is bad grammar, particularly the incorrect usage of "your" and "you're", "there", "they're", and "their". When I see someone using those words incorrectly, it instantly pisses me off and I feel the need to correct them. Texting via cell phones also annoy me. Texting a short message can be convenient at times but having a whole conversation via a cell phone text is just annoying. Phones are for calling, not texting a whole conversation. Slow readers also annoy me because when I have to listen to one it just wastes me time. People always telling me how I should act and what I should do aggravates me. Another pet peeve of mine is females that behave as though they deserve special treatment just for being female. That's always annoyed me.

:) Glad to hear I'm not alone with all of those.
By the way, you mentioned group work. It's been so long since I was in school that I almost forgot. I could never count on other group members to do their work correctly. So I would just offer to do all of the work for my group alone while giving them credit for various parts, and thankfully they were usually so lazy that they'd accept the offer. Thus I'd get the work done ahead of time, and still got straight As. It would have been much more frustrating if they'd insisted on my trusting them to do their part or use their ideas.

i really hate it when people act all "ist" (racist, sexist, ect) and claim others are being ist people, or those stupid people who call you a racist because you just said a black person was black. and one of the most annoying things to me, is *** steriotypes who say things like "people who wear glasses must be smart and nerdy" or the favored dumb blonde steriotype.
the worst thing, was yesterday, some stupid girls tied this kids shoelaces together with 5 or 6 knots so tight, his shoelaces had to be cut to undo the knots. as he was trying to walk, they tried to step on his shoelaces making him fall down yet again. i had to help him across the street, but they kept tripping him, which in turn tripped me.

In contrast to my first pet peeve, another thing that bothers me are waiters that are overly attendant. I understand coming by once after the food arrives just to see if everything is okay, but it really pisses me off if they check in every time they walk by me. If there was a problem, I'd tell them, I don't need them to make me feel like it's okay to ask a question.
And totally unrelated, another pet peeve are people that make unneccesary niceties. Like, if someone asks you to sign a receit by saying something like "do you want to sign here?". Isn't that a bit of a given? Do they have customers who refuse to sign and run out on them? Or when people say thanks when you were doing something you have to do. Like handing in a paper on time, and the teacher thanks you. What's the appropriate response? "Oh, no problem, it wasn't too much trouble for me to do what's expected of me". There's nothing wrong with it, it just irks me.

Now that you say it: I've got something very similar here. I've been using Antivir for a few years now. I mean on the one hand it's great that it's free and at the same time has quite a good reputation and I should probably be thankful for that... but: For a few years now, every 24 hrs or so, a pop-up called "notifier" shows up and wants me to convince that I have to buy a "premium version". I mean shouldn't they slowly start to notice after the 1000th time or so (that's not even an exaggeration!)... that I don't want to buy their premium version? The worst thing about it is that it even forcefully mimizes other totally unrelated full-screen applications and sometimes crashes them as a result of that. Do they really think that will motivate me to buy that stuff? And I thougth it was called an anti-virus program because it is supposed to prevent such things from happening. Imagine yourself playing a game, watching TV on your PC etc. and then that stupid popup comes out of nowhere... so annoying! That being said I'm not even playing online games, in that case it would propably cause me to explode completely.

Pet peeves...oh dear. Quite a few.
1. The fact that soda is fattening.
2. The fact that I can't go through a day without having a HUGE craving for soda.
3. The fact that I haven't had a soda for a over a month now and the cravings WILL NOT STOP.
4. The fact that I cannot drop the soda weight :(
5. This goes along with the aforementioned teamwork - working with people who are slow, can't do certain tasks themselves that they should be able to, or who refuse to take up certain tasks. Completely referring to my job in this sense. I don't mind working with people at all, but they have to keep up with me and have to actually take up the responsibility of the job or I go crazy. And get really cranky besides.
6. Excessive use of the word "like". I completely try to avoid the word, but I catch myself occasionally. Really what I have are the people who use it constantly, and seem to forget how to hold a REAL conversation without resorting to "like" every other word. Drives me nuts.
7. Being on the night shift at work and trying to maintain a normal schedule besides. Hard to have a daily life without missing out on things while still getting enough sleep.
8. My overheating laptop. Thing doesn't like to stay on for more than an hour before it shuts itself down. Someday I'm going to buy a new computer...
There's probably more but those are what I have at the top of my head. Every day it changes :)

Improper grammar/ spelling is number one on my list.
People that act like they know everything.
Stupidity.
When people are overly sensitive.
People who say things like "I LEIK FUDGE LOLOLOL!!!" because it's "random."
Loud people. (I'm such a hypocrite.)
Self-centered people.
Being told I'm wrong.

I don't like plagerism. I come up with a really good idea, or something really simple like a joke or catchphrase, and someone passes it off as their own.

Lolz at that.
Hrmm. I was at the supermarket last tuesday and while I was thinking about pet peeves to post here at ZD (ironically, nothing seemed to bother me at that moment), my mother told me to go grab a spot at the queue, and I did it. After five minutes she came back with some stuff she wanted to buy on her hands. You see where I'm trying to get here? I hate when people tell you to wait for them while they go grab something else and return 10 minutes later. This makes me look stupid in front of all the other people waiting in line behind me, and what can I tell the lady that's hoping me to give her cash for what I just bought? This is probably one of the most uncomfortable situations of all.

Here's another one that I can't stand, and I don't mean to offend anybody, I'm sorry if I do. People who smoke. I cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke and every time I walk near any one who is smoking a cigarette, I will immediately hold my breathe until I am a safe distance away, so that I don't breathe in any of the smoke.

Ah, worse than that, people who smoke and don't shower. Especially if it's pot, the smell just sticks on them. I had this misfortune of sitting next to one such person a few weeks ago. I actually left the room and vomited.

There are Many things that annoy me. Some are already said but I'll say it anyway:
1. "Repetition" I don't like to repeat myself much, sure saying it again to remind a person if fine, but saying it more than 5 times is getting on the nerves. It's like listening to a broken record player that plays the same tune over and over. -__-'
2. "Know-it-all" Attitude. It annoys me for someone who talks about a subject that they are good at and brags them to everyone just to get attention or when a person talks about a subject but that person doesn't even know what he's talking about. I mean it's kinda a bit of a "******". It gets on the nerves when they do this, a LOT. Enough said. Talking and sharing an idea is fine, but bragging about the idea to an extent just to impress or to make the listeners stand in awe is a different story.
3. "Fat Jokes". I'm fat, I admit that. Yes i can take jokes, even Fat jokes. I laugh and have fun, but it gets annoying or on the nerves when a fat joke goes to far. A joke concerning about a fat guy going to church to pray being called as a "Fat *******" is one example. Don't ask how it goes.
4. "Sisters". Sisters are sweet and kind to their siblings, but sometimes that sweetness can be......annoying. An instance is when I have had my fun, or when it's time to be serious, they still act sweet and goes "Your my Cute Brother!" (My sisters treat me like a child. Meh, Sisters will be sisters. Though I don't know why would they treat you like this..)
That's all i can think off.

Here are the things that just enrage me:
Newbies- Only the kind that believe that they are hardcore at everything but they barely know anything about it.
Whenever people confuse US Wrestling with the WWE crap and/or call it "Gay."
Whanabes- There's alot and I do mean A LOT of Emo and Gangster whanabes arounfd here, the problem is that thesee emo whanbes just dress in black and listen to Linking Park all day because it's cool to them, they don't cut themselves or have really long hair and tight pants or anything, they just sit there and act like little girls all day(Well, at least they got that right...) and the gangster whanabes are just MILES away to be REAL gangtas.
Fanboys- Do I even have to explain why?
Whenver people can't get the "FUN" song right, what?
And there are lots and lots, but hell, it take me all day...

When People wake me up when they shouldn't which is on the weekends and stuff like that.
When people move certain objects around in my room or take them without asking first (doesn't happen often but for some reason it causes me more stress than it should).
and when someone thinks they have to teach you some "very important" lesson when they are the last person you want to learn something from. That really tics me off!

This may sound rude, but I can't stand it when people complain, especially about life. There are so many people at my school who say how horrible their lives are, either it be breaking up with someone or if they just can't buy something that they really want. I understand that they're sad about it but they don't have to keep going on and on about it. It's annoying.
Some of you have mentioned this one: People who overuse the word "like." I mean, I'll use "like" a lot, but I don't do it to where it distorts the sentence. There are a few people at school who will talk like "Oh, he is like, so hot. I like, love him! Do you like, know what I mean?" I don't mean to sound offensive to anyone who does speak like that. It just bugs me. =<
Here's a big pet peeve: People say they love each other after they just start dating, or if they just see a hot guy/girl. There are too many people around here who say that they love each other. There's a new guy at school, and everyone's saying how hot he is and how they just love him. It's sickening to see the word "love" like that. It's as if love has lost its meaning.
I'll name one more, and it's just a small one: Chewing with your mouth open. I can't stand it! >_< I don't want to see your chewed up food in your mouth, and I defiantly don't want to listen to you chew. It's so gross.

Nº3: How the French go on strike every two weeks.
I actually find it quite cool that you in France protest against things you don't like - that's the way of interpreting democracy I wish we'd also have here. We Germans just accept everything the government or corporations tell us or do. They could raise the weekly working time to 50 hours and the retirement age to 75 while lowering wages 30% - and noone would give a ****, everyone would just somehow accept it...
I know it's already like the 4th time I've posted here, but another thing I really strongly hate is the over-usage of movie quotations especially on the internet.
OK, I'm somehow biased against it because I almost don't watch any movies (2-3/decade) and I stopped watching TV almost 3 years ago, it were those stupid ringtone ads which gave me the rest, and ads generally - there's like 20 min normal program and then 10 min ads and with time they've gradually become worse, my brain couldn't take that anymore. I can't understand how large companies spend thousands of € per second and then produce such awful commercials which turn everyone with an IQ above 50 rather away from the advertised product instead of attracting to it.
Yes, I honestly don't know the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek, and I'm not ashamed to admit that. But what I know is when someone is trying to be funny by using stupid "The Force" etc. babble on totally unrelated topics it makes me want to punch that person right into the face, sorry. The only thing I hate more than that are those brainless "This is Sparta" interjections - usually in ALL CAPS and with at least 4 exclamation marks - if a thing/person/group A is overwhelming a thing/person/group B. People, it's not funny, not cool and above all, it's not original, get it? Make up your own idioms and don't copy them from crappy movies so that more than the 0.01% that have read the entry/post/comment and watched the movie get them! [/ends rant]

-Girls who talk in a high-pitched "cute voice" IT MAKES YOU SOUND LIKE A 3 YEAR OLD! (unfortunately this applies to a few of my friends...)
I say like a lot. Like every couple of words. (Example: "Like, omgah, this is totally the most awesome thing like... everrrr!" is something I would say. It's something that pretty much every girl I know back in CA would talk like. I love annoying people who aren't used to it. XD
I also have a very high-pitched voice, compliments of a body that refuses to put out hormone levels and give me the voice of a normal girl my age. -_- Yeah, it makes me sound like a kid- people on the phone ask "Is your mommy home?" 'cause I sound little. Sometimes if I answer the phone at work and the customer gets frustrated, they'll ask to "speak with an adult". Just consider that some girls' voices are high because that's how they are.

When people do not have any respect for either Japanese or american animation.
On one fricken side we have Americans who think anime is drawn weird, there is nothing but fighting and breasts. The main character is a incompetent idiot and, my favorite, the eyes look stupid. Excuse me American fanboys but that is a style in Japan that was inspired by our fricken cartoons. These people are just following the art style they find to be appropriate for them.
But don't think Anime fanboys get off the hook. They hate american animation simply because it doesn't seem to get more mature than anime and sometimes I'll admit that, that could be true however, we are trapped by cliches of good vs. evil, much like how anime is stuffed with a lot of cliches. We do try to be mature with our themes, but sometimes we try to be more subtle with it because, like Japan, we have a censorship system. Anime fans also think our shows are stupid these days when in truth, animation on TV could be reaching it's next silver age as new shows have given a lot of promise. Just give them a try anime fanboys.
*Sigh* No one will probably listen to this, but please try to understand that Japanese and American animation both have their ups and downsides, it's that both sides tend to be so biased that they ignore that.

You know, I have a pet peeve that has been bugging me more and more lately:
When parents buy M-rated games for their very young kids and have poor excuses. Parents will buy their 7-year-olds Grand Theft Auto or God of War III. I'll tell them, "So you're aware, this game is rated Mature for: (drugs, sexual content, etc. etc.)," and they will respond with, "He'll learn about it anyway" or "His friend has it, so it should be okay."
WTF kind of neglectful parenting is this?! Aaaaugh it burns me up. Your 2nd grader doesn't need to be watching sexual scenes or drug references. OLDER kids can tell the difference between reality and games, but these tiny tots watch this stuff and think its cool so they want to do the same thing.
You wanna buy that stuff for your teenager? Fine, whatever. They're probably capable of knowing what is right and wrong. But jeez, parents need to stop letting their tiny little children play this stuff.
And you know what, it's not even the fact that they allow this that makes it a pet peeve. If you're okay with your kid playing that, fine, whatever. My pet peeves are the excuses they come up with for allowing it. Letting your kid do something because other kids are is not good parenting.

Gotta agree, Zeruda. My mother would've died before she let us do ANYTHING just because "the other kids did." Bad parenting is one of my biggest pet peeves. People will turn around and say I have no right to talk, because I'm not a parent - but don't I HAVE parents? I can identify a good parent and a bad parent - the difference is huge.
Another of my major pet peeves is snottiness, or people who are stuck on themselves and feel they're better than others. I also hate phony people - and God help me if I find a stuck up person who's good at faking nice. Ugh.

Now that you say that, it makes me wonder if my parents had to come up with any excuses when they bought me Perfect Dark for the N64 when I was like 5 or 6. Eh, by today's standards, Perfect Dark would probably just be rated T now. All it had was mild language and blood.
Okay, so I've found another pet peeve. Now I'm not an American patriot, but one of the things that really bother me is when the people in my class don't say the American Pledge of Allegiance. Everyday during second period at school, we have these morning announcements, and before they actually start, we have to stand up for the Pledge. I know the Pledge is said for them while they're standing, but they can at least say it as well.
Though right now I'm starting to think this only bothers me since I'm a military child, who knows? XD
A few of my pet peeves are:
1. People constantly snickering at you behind your back when you can obviously hear them.
I mean really, GET A LIFE! You don't have to pick on someone for something that doesn't even matter (Such as clothes, hair styles, shoes, etc..). It annoys me to death.
2. Weird people staring at you
It creeps me out when weird old hobos stare at me without cease. It's like they can penetrate your mind and see all of your thoughts!
3. Kids in green tunics
You know who I mean...:)
4. parents and siblings constantly coming into your room
Even if I put up signs that say, quite clearly "KNOCK FIRST" they still just waltz in and yap away about having to tidy your bed (personally, I just don't get the point of doing that. It's just going to get messed up again!) fold your clothes, take a shower, clean your room, etc, etc, etc.
5. Yappy sisters who also hit
ANNOYING! I hate it whan I'm just sitting there, doing nothing, and then a sibling comes up and WHAM! You have a giant bruise on your arm. Tjhen they falsely accuse you of hitting THEM and you get sent to your room for an hour. Little jerks.
6. Crosswalks
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people walk up to a crosswalk, wait THROUGH the green walking symbol, see the red hand sign, and start to walk when the cars are coming. Idiots!
I have a lot more but I'm done for now.

I just recently realized another pet peeve of mine: persistence in doing the wrong thing. No matter how many times you tell a person they're doing something wrong or incorrectly or just plain irritatingly and they never stop making that same mistake, often making the same mistake multiple times in a short time span or something, I can't stand it. It could even be a small thing, like apologizing too much even when I've told them they don't have to, little things like that irk me so badly for some odd incomprehensible reason. *sigh*

I've got another - when people think that their kid is so adorable that you don't mind being a free baby-sitter. My aunt visited this weekend and her preschool grandkid latched onto me. The girl was really sweet, but I had other things to do on a Saturday night than try to entertain her for three hours. (And I wouldn't have even minded that night as much were it not for the fact that the same was expected any other time we were together that weekend.)
Of course, there was also a lack of enforced bedtime and optional naptime which contributed to other discipline issues, so that compounded things and is a peeve of its own...

I hate it when there is an advert on TV that is really annoying! In England there is this stupid avert for washing powder called "Vanish" and in every advert there is some sort of over - exagerated situation like a little girl's dress with a tiny stain on or a boy's white shirt is turning grey and he can't go to his rugby match and their mum is like: "Oh no! You can't go to your party/match!"
And then there is this stupid music and this random lady walks in wearing pink with a bottle of "Vanish" and they always extend the names like: "New Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White Intelligent!!!"
And then a stupid demo and then a smiling kid and a mum saying something stupid about how amazing it is. SO ANNOYING.

I'm a rather calm and silent person (in my real life at least), and I could pretty much accept anything, as long as it doesn't concern me. Also, I don't want to poke my nose into others' business, so stay calm and quiet is the best way. Very few people knew that I could actually get angry for a short time (when they saw me angry, they was too surprised and the effect was too deep, so they couldn't say a word =D). Something like these:
A person thinks that he/she has absolute power over me. I had to do as they said, no reasons, no explanations, etc. Just because some stupid things like :'I'm older than you, so you must do it' or 'You are a girl. All girls must act like this and that...' or 'You are becoming crazy just staying home all day. Go outside and communicate with other people, right now!' Jeeezz. If they asked nicely or just think of a good reason, I would be willing to do as they said. I hate impolite people that treat me as a slave or a doll/a toy. I have my emotions (although most of the time I don't show it off), and I deserved to be respected, right? I could take them for a couple of days or months, but of course, I can't stand it forever.
I could only think of this for now. I'm not easily get angry though. And another thing is a joke that goes too far. Like when my friends stole my homework and I thought I haven't done it yet, so I had to do it all over again. But these joke things depends really much on my mood, if I was happy then I would do it no problems (it's a way to practice after all)

I can relate to you. I hate that I sometimes feel like I'm being used as a slave to do stuff for other people. And people thinking they have power over me is another thing I'm peeved about. I usually think like that because I rarely get mad. Ever. And I think that these kind of people abuse the gentleness I always give out. Granted, I do get mad sometimes, but it's usually when I'm fighting someone in the family over these kinds of things. And even then it isn't a giant emotional rampage(though I can be an emotional person).
Brings me to probably one of my worst pet peeves: feeling like no one even listens to my opinions, even when I'm trying to maintain peace when everyone in the room is sceeching at each other. Gah, sometimes I think it's a bad thing that I'm so nice to people. But it's just simply who I am ;D
On another note, I hate when some people just ramble on and on( but I realized I sometimes do this too:P). That and annoying songs I can't get out of my head, that I don't even like! I hate when that happens...

It's much easier to just laugh! I get annoyed when people TYPE "lol," but hearing it out loud just fires up my nerves.
Or people who say "epic," "for the win," and "noob" too much.
Just /b/tards in general (both online and in real life).
I mean, sure, I go to 4chan, whatever, but at least I still know how to act properly in public areas.
In my COLLEGE the other day, I was passing a group of people, one of which said something along the lines of "The Spaghetti God grants you his blessing from the bowels of /b/," and his friend literally yelled at the TOP of his lungs "RULES 1 AND 2, *expletive* "
After which they fell into an argument about how "Rules 1 and 2 only apply to raids."
I just hate it.
I hate it so much.

Well, I have a long list so this might take a while.
Run on sentences. When people don't use any periods or commas n itz just 1 big long sentence liek this n i think that runon snentces r sew anoyin expeshully wen theirs so much gramer mistakez that is so anoyin wut r ppl thinkin i mean come on its just so dang earitating no wat i meen
People that get in the way of pictures. I love photography but it just really gets on my nerves when I go to a beach and there's a perfect shot with a sunset but there's one person standing there in the background, which practically ruins the whole picture. It's especially annoying in a place with a heavy flow of people like at zoos or amusement parks. There's a nearby public garden near me and it's a MAJOR tourist attraction. Whenever I go there, it's so hard to take pictures because people are constantly walking past, without the consideration to stop to let you take a quick picture.
People who put a space between their punctuation and words like this: "Wow ! That's really crazy . Are you sure ?" I don't get why people do it. Whenever I'm on facebook, I scroll down my newsfeed and so many people do that. I don't get why. It's completely improper grammar. A question mark is not a word on it's own.
Vandalism. What's the benefit of ruining perfectly good things? :( My town sees a lot of it. People complain that the city is ugly but then when some new fancy lamp posts are installed or a flower basket gets put up, vandals are always there to spoil it.
Shoes. I just plain hate them. I can't stand having my feet consealed.. I don't ever wear shoes at home, even in the backyard. I take them off in the car and even when I'm sitting at a desk at school. Luckily my feet aren't odorous. :D
When my food touches other food. I'm the odd one out on my dad's side of the family. When we have a family dinner, my dad, uncle, grandpa and cousins make a big pile of mashed potatoes, corn, chicken, beans, peas, carrots, etc. then they top it all off with gravy. They then mix it all together and devour it as if they hadn't eaten for months. I'm different. I like to have my food in neat little piles all by themselves. I NEVER have food touching unless it's just like a carrot touching corn because it's easy to seperate and doesn't effect the taste.
Greasy hair...
People who assume that their music is the only kind of good music and don't understand that people have different tastes.
People who say that water is gross. IT HAS NO TASTE! You might as well say that air tastes gross.. It's refreshing and cools you down. Geez.
Laugh tracks on sitcoms. My two favorite shows are Friends and The Office. They're both very different and after watching a few episodes of the Office it's hard to watch Friends because all I can focus on is the constant laughing after every line. It's SO annoying.
Really uptight parents. I mean come on, let your kid do what he/she wants to do. My parents don't care what I watch or listen to. I've watch Family Guy, Borat and the Trailer Park Boys (Canadian show) since I was like 5 but it hasn't affteced me at all. It's not like I'm gonna see Borat running through a hotel naked and I'm going to try it for myself.
People who use any of the following words/terms/phrases:
"LG", meaning "little girl." Out of nowhere this became a common term on the internet. Whenever I go on facebook girls always write things like "LOL stupid lg's" and "wow, major lg alert!" and then about 29482304 people like their status. It's almost as if using that word has some sort of magical power that everyone loves to use. Plus all the girls that call younger girls "LGs" are probably "LGs" to people a year older than them. Same goes for the term "LB."
"Om nom nom." It's like that joke that'd been retold about a billion times even though it was never funny in the first place. Everyone says the same thing over and over again and it's not even funny anyways. I mean please, have some originality.
"Epic fail!" See my reasoning for om nom nom.
This is only about 1/2482749 of the fraction of things that annoy me. I'm a very calm person and when any of these things happen, I act calm but on the inside I'm furious. I usually try to hide it.

When people think they can deREP me for making a typo.
For thinking that REPs matter, even though it is making a even deeper void in their thirst for satisfaction.
When people ignore my forum posts even though I said them three times.
When people try to get me mad just because they want to.
When rules against me do not apply against others, even though they are on a equal or lower level.
When people are about to deREP me for this post.

You know, the reputation system is added in to help worse posters make better posts. Mases even said himself to use the reputation system to derep bad quality posters, as in those who often make too many spelling errors or otherwise make the thread/forum look bad. That includes posting the same thing three times in one thread, especially if it isn't needed. It also includes quadruple posting. I won't continue on you because it makes the forum look bad. I just hope you know that people are trying to make you a better poster if they keep derepping you so much. Use their comments to correct your mistakes, it's what the reputation system is for. I can hope that you learn a lesson from this and attempt to be a better poster to eliminate those who keep derepping you, and make them eat their words. You go. :) I hope you realize that I'm trying to help you with this post.
One of my pet peeves is people who think everybody has it out for them because a few simple comments are made.
Also, one of my pet peeves is whenever people don't put the ties back on the bread. That really gets on my nerves. Also when people interrupt me. People who dance and sing when they play video games or feel they need to jump around while doing it are nuts, too.

On the Internet: When people try to explain why their opinions is fact. I suppose these type of people do the same in real life but I haven't met any that meets that criteria.
In real life: When people say things that are simply untrue.

i hate it when people use internet phrases in real life. one girl in my class last year always used to say lmao whenever she laughed, i just wanted to yell at her to shut up. (i didn't though, i'd never hear the end of it)
another thing i hate is people wasting my time. life is short, so why should i let other people waste my time? i just want to do what i want and things CONSTANTLY get in the way of that. like other people who make me do things that i don't want to (like my mom forcing me to go places that i don't want to) and school (the biggest waste of time ever)

Another pet peeve of mine that is a major one for me is ignorance for Canadian culture. It really gets on my nerves when foreigners assume that we ride a moose to work or bathe in syrup or eat beaver for dinner. (exaggeration of course) We're really not like that. In fact, I've never seen a moose OR beaver in my life. Another thing is how people don't realize that Canada is the second largest country on Earth and that Canada is not freezing cold. In fact, right now the heat is scorching (and I live on the coast, where's it's cooler). One time my grandparents' taxi driver in Vegas heard that they were Canadians and he said "Wow, you might know my friend, he lives in Toronto." Canada has millions of people and he thinks it's a place where everyone knows each other.. I was also talking to this Australian on Omegle about the weather and he assumed it snowed all year round. He was shocked when I told him that where I live in Canada, it snows about 2 times a year and lasts for about a day before the rain turns it to slush the next day. He thought I was lying. It really annoys me. D: I know all the capitals of each state, why can't others learn something about us for once. :( I know it's not ALL people though.

Just a small tangent here, but I agree with Majora16. I went to candada this summer and it is nothing like people make it out to be. Well, it is cold for someone who is used to tripple digits, but still, it is nothing like what people make it out to be.
1: When ever people talk bad about Armenia for no reason.
1: When people over exdgerate canada.
2: When ever people confuse Armenins with Americans in text.

4: When ever people do not notice that I put two number 1s and check back to see if I did.

Stereotypes quite frustrating, but I think this taxi driver was just making friendly conversation.
:P
The Stereotypes for Texas are quite bad as well. I was visiting Europe and struck up a conversation with some French people who assumed that there were no modern cities in Texas, and that it was all farmland and ranches.
Another bad stereotype are "Gurrrl gamers."
Apparently, whenever a female plays video games, that means that they're either doing it:
A) For attention
B) Because they're ugly
C) Because they're autistic crazy shut-ins
It got to the point where if anyone asks me my gender on an online game, I just tell them that I'm a 12 year old boy.
I'd rather have them think I'm a boy then listen to their constant badgering which distracts them from the game on hand.
Either way, I don't consider myself a "Gurrrl Gamer," I'm just a female who has a hobby of playing video games for entertainment.

1: When ever people find out Armenia is in the Middle East, they assume that we are Muslum.
2: When ever people call the Genocide the "hollocost".
3: When ever people make fun of the Genocide. *Twitch*
4: When ever people assume all of Armenia is lenacansy.
5: When ever people ask what lenacansy means.

7: When ever people think Armenians are primitive.

Ah, Pet Peeves, I have a few.
One is cursing. And I'm not meaning like a cuss word every now and then. (Although that does irritate me as well and I'd rather not hear it either.) I mean having a cuss word as nearly every single word. I'd rather not hear any of that stuff. You can get your point perfectly across without having to use words such as those.
The second one is extreme PDA. I don't mind seeing someone kiss, hug, or holding hands their significant other in public, but when it turns into full-out make-out session, eh, no. If you want to do something like that, you can get a room and close the door. No one wants to see something like that happening in front/behind/beside them.

Alright, two more things off the top of my head. One, people who try to shove birthday cake down your throat. Maybe I'm the only person on the forum like this, but I'm not a big fan of cake. Even in my early childhood I'd never eat cake, I've always found it too sweet and fillings. Anyway, the point is, today I found myself near a small office birthday party. Even though I didn't know anyone there they kept trying to force cake upon me. "Aww come on, don't you want any cake? You suuuuuuure? Come on, you totally do. How about now? How about a brownie? No? What about cake? Caaaaaaake.....". I wasn't being shy when I turned down the offer, I just didn't want any friggin' cake. And it's happened to me in the past multiple times as well.
Two, when you're in a room full of empty chairs, yet someone you don't know chooses the chair right next to you. It's creepy. It'd be understandable (but still annoying) if they did that to socialize or something, but if they do it and don't say a word, it's friggin' creepy.

I generally dislike arrogant people. Sure I have pride and accomplishments, but I don't go around treating other people or their opinions as if they don't matter. When someone is being arrogant towards ME, however, that's when I get angry.

I also hate it when people try to force me to eat cake. I've never liked cake that much, or sweets in general. And I hate it when my Grandmother says that if I don't eat a buttload of food each and every day, that I'll die. I've never been a big eater, but I make sure to get my nutrients for the day. I hate it when people say I'm sick or whatever just because I don't eat a lot.
This one's silly, but I get annoyed when people add a 'U' to the word 'color', as in 'colour'. I know they're both correct spellings, but it just irritates me for some reason =/. Sometimes I think people just do it to sound intelligent. Same with spelling 'fairy' as 'faery'.
DuckNoises
08-05-2010, 10:07 PM
Actually, the letter "u" is generally more prevalent in British spellings, generally wherever something ends in the letters "or" it is spelled "our." The same goes for "theater" versus "theatre" and "center" versus "centre." I figure this is because the United States House and Senate decided to pass a constitutional amendment to display their sovereignty from Britain by abandoning proper spelling. :P But I kid; seriously though, it is a difference in American spelling versus British spelling.
As for "faery," that is an archaic, Elizabethan spelling of the word "fairy."

I can think of two things:
1. When people are playing music in their car so loud that you can hear them from a half a mile away. Seriously, there are kids doing there homework, parents dong there taxes, etc. HOW IS YOUR MUSIC THAT IMPORTANT!!!
2. Apparently whenever I say "I don't know" the words 'I' and 'don't' become lost when they're looking for the other person's ears and they think I just said 'no'.

Alright, so a couple things, mostly having to do with talking
Firstly, when i hear people say "im VERSING you in dodgeball" or "take this number, TIMES it by that number." it sounds so stupid, and its not even actual slang.
Secondly, when people use words like lol or rofl in real life... its kinda sad...
thirdly, on the internet when people go out of their way to t@1k l1k3 r3t4rdzzz.
and, also, the worst thing, which i see every day being in lowly grade 8: tools. 13 years old or younger, where the girls think that theyre grown women because they've began developing earlier, so they start dating the guys, which means awkwardly seeing a movie, where neither talks at all. im a fatass, and could never get a girl... like... ever. but that doesn't mean I want one, or feel the need for one... hell, ive got like 6 years before that kinda thing even becomes significant. I'm all for hanging out with girls at this age.. but... really?
thankyou very much for the opportunity to post my inner demons. i feel slightly less of a need to maim the majority of my classmates. ^_^
also, just anything that plays on HOT. i dont mind hip hop, but blatantly uninspried songs that are either "i disrespect women and have sex with several at any given moment" or "shes shaking her *** really nicely" or "i used to love you but now i dont and now we dont love each other and we're all sad"... that stuff is just crap.

people who dont do their job at work (drives me nuts)
when people say OMG or LOL in real life (yes they do it...)
txting me when im right beside you
when im on the phone with someone and they talk to a person who they are in the same room with (example my boyfriend talks to his brother when im on the phone with him like seriously you live with him!)
uhm... yeah there is more trust me but it would take much much to long to type out everything so there were a few quick things

2.Racism. One of my friends are always saying stuff like asians are better and is always doing stuff like asinas vs. non-asians in dogeball even if one side is outnubered.
3.Repeating myself.
4.The video game war. when people play wii they think your kids. When people play PS3 they say that you have no taste. When people play XBOX 360 they they accept you, but only if you hate all wii and PS3 stuff. I don't even want to know what they call you if you like all 3, like i do.

6.The smell of pizza.
7When people stare at me and talk behind my back when I say i hate pizza. You hear that World? I hate pizza!

I have more pet peeves I just discovered.
- When I feel like my hands are dirty, but I can't wash them
- Hand sanitizers
- When people comment: " oooh! Your name is so cool because it has a z in it! "
- When a repetitive noise happens ( not drum beat)
These are some things about me:
-When I trip by myself
-When I chew the inside of my mouth( I'm trying to break that habit!)
- When I say something that doesn't make sense
- When I try to fall asleep and suddenly start to wonder how my eyes close, therefore I start concentrating on that, and it hurts my eyes.
- When flying on a long flight, and there is someone behing me kicking my chair. It is the same on short flights too.
- When people ask me if I am hungry, because I am Hungarian. ( Come on guys, that joke is waaaay old..:/ )
- When weird guys come up to say "Hi". Seriously, I don't even know them!
- When I make an accent problem, mostly on words I have never heard. The usual case is when I stress the wrong syllables.
- When I hear the bad words not censored. Mostly used throughout my school. I hate it when they talk like that. Shows off their parents' efforts on how they raised them, in my opinion.
Long list.
i hate it when someone half-jokes about something on the internet and you think it's serious. lololjk.

- People who say “no offence intended” after saying something that is clearly offensive. If you want to say something that is likely to offend someone but you do not want to offend anyone, just don’t say anything.
- The word “popular”.
- People who have guns. (Luckily this isn’t common where I live)
- People who smoke and get mad at me or get offended when I cough or wave my hand in front of my face to dissipate the smoke.
- Guys who say “no homo” after saying something nice to another guy. It sounds as if they were ashamed of what they said, and no one should be ashamed of saying something nice. And, honestly, I don’t care if they are “homo” or not.
- Cell phone vibration. It freaks me out.
- Too manly men and too feminine women.
- Parents who let their kids stare at me.
- Groups of people who stop in the middle of a corridor. Being stuck in a corridor makes me really anxious.
- People who act as if they knew me better than I do.

12-30-2010, 06:05 PM
Oh man, the list could go on forever. I'll start with some simple things.
-People who act as if they're better then me just because they're older.
-My sister. Need I say more?
-When people accuse me of breathing loud. Excuse me if I can't breath quietly.
-When people are too sarchastic. Excuse me, was that MY heart beating too loud? Maybe I'll just die. Will that make your world perfect again?
-When people use the term "racism" incorrectly. If I just say "black" or "white" people say "that's racist!" but it's not. Racism is descriminating against people BECAUSE they're black or white.
-When people ridicule me for doing the right thing or telling them to do the right thing.
-When people get upset because I told them the truth.
-When friends drag me into the middle of their fights.
-When my sister and I are mad at each other, and I don't have any CD's she doesn't like, so I can't blare my music.
-When me and my sister are mad at each other, we blare each of our sterios. Hers is louder.
-When friends come over to your house and want to do something you don't want to do, then use the excuse "I can't do this at MY house!"
-When I can't say "no" to someone.

- The Texan accent (or any strong American accent, for that matter).
- People who take offence too easily.
- Any noise like a fork on a plate or something.
- People who say "like" "like" "like" "like".
- People who let their babies cry on the bus.

I really, REALLY hate being ignored. It infuriates me to no end. I mean, it's not like I want to be the center of attention, but at least acknowledge that I'm there and/or talking.

Ummmm let's see
Pet Peeves
1. Repeating myself
2. People trying to use people
3. When people eat crunchy food in my ear
4. When people are driving on the road at 3 in the morning blasting music
5. When people write comments on facebook saying how they are better than everyone else
6. When people are late.
I have alot more, but those are the main ones

I hate texting language! People use it all the time. I don't mind the occasional lol or u, but really! If you want to tell me something, use real words and don't say stuff like "omg I'm going to txt u liek this".
Another thing? Stereotypes. People think I'm weird because I'm a girl, and I play video games. Also because I like Zelda and pokemon, and not Black ops and halo and gears of war. I don't like gun games, and I'm a die hard nintendo fan, so this drives me bananas. The last thing I can think of is guns. I hate guns. Gun games, gun toys, everything. Over excessive use of guns in games and movies just annoy the crap out of me.

In no particular order my pet peeves are...
-Little kids that don't know how to do anything but complain about the same thing repeatedly.
-People who think they're better than everyone else just because they have advanced classes.
-People who have to constantly annoy everyone in the room.
-Relatives who make me do everything when I'm the guest.
-People telling me what to do on homework when their telling me the stupidest answers.
-Being ignored.
-Anything in the grammar world that changes upon opinion like comma placement and how long a sentence or paragraph has to be when every book I read doesn't follow them.

I don't really have any Pet Peeves when talking or hanging around people, but there is only a few minor things that I dislike while texting, or typing on the internet:
*I don't like it when people speak ghetto to me, I don't understand what you're saying so use proper English
*I'm big on grammar, but when it comes to texting, I don't mind symbol's, but just give me a complete/ correct sentence
*I hate it when my friends play with my hair, it's just irritating.

One of my biggest peeves is when people make fun of someone who is diffrent or they dont understand now im not saying specal diffrent. but one way I met a good friend of mine is I ended up standing up for her. This always gets to me and I find myself defending people I dont know.
My sisters peeve whiche she used to torcherd me over when I was younger not much anymore is like that smacking noise people make when they eat so that got passed onto me.

Ouu this thread is totally fun ! Haha, here's a few of mine. I browsed over most of the thread and tried not to use ones I saw already, I agreed with a lot of them already posted. : P
- People who complain over like, nothing ! SO many people have it SO much worse than you do. Suck it up and be thankful for what you do have. I know it's human to complain the odd time, but constantly whining is sosososo annoying.
- When people say they're ugly or fat just so someone will say they're not. No words can explain how mad this makes me. Another one that kind of ties into this one is when the skinny girl calls herself fat? Like pretty sure that just makes bigger people feel worse about themselves, think about others when fishing for compliments people. ; )
- When you can't hear what someone says so you say "Pardon?" and they seem to think they now need to scream for you to hear them. You don't need to from 1 to 10, just to like 5, like a normal talking level as opposed to mumbling you did the first time. I know a lot of people said their pet peeve was repeating themselves, but I know for a fact a lot of the time I mumble or talk too fast by accident, so people actual don't hear me. Totally different story if they're not listening.
- This one is weird to explain but I'll try to explain it through an example. I have an iPhone, which I like, but then you know, mr.iknoweverythingaboutphonesandtechnology comes along and tries to tell me why his Blackberry Torch or whatever is so much better? Like, yeah it very well may be a better phone, but I didn't ask, nor do I care. I guess this would really just be people trying to push their beliefs on me or sharing information with me I really couldn't care less about.

Let's see, I have a few. My brother constantly being in my room is one. I hate it when anyone is in my room when I don't want them to be. Someone leaving time on the microwave, that really annoys me. And bad grammer, I hate it when I see missing or incorrect punctutation.

I've also been known to get annoyed at girls (or people in general) who do the stereotypical "bubbly" "girly" thing, saying "like" way too much. Not always, but sometimes.
I say like alot, but I do it to mock girls who do that. Would that count for you?
Anyway, it annoys me when people tell me what to do. Anything. If my mom says, "Go put away the dishes!" That really gets me mad. I don't know why, though.
