There aren't any chains here in my town really, except for McD's and Subway.

Wasabi's is an upscale restaurant..usually go once a year. It's super good, but super expensive.
Duncan House is a wonderful home cooking place.
Starvin' Marvin's is my favorite pizza place ever. They seriously make the best pizza I have ever had. Caleb and I probably get it once a month.

I have to agree with Athenian...Pizza Hut for me. As DisappearingMist said: there aren't many famous restaurants (Chains) here where I live. :D

When I go out, it's usually either to Pizza Experts or Pizza Delight. I like pizza if you couldn't tell! However, my favourite restaurant is definately Jungle Jim's. There's just something about that place that makes me want to go back for more.
Sadly, I've rarely ever gone to a non-chain place, although the few I've gone to have been pretty good.

There aren't many restaurants that catch my attention, or many that I even visit. However, I do know my favorites from over the years.

The Island Cow in Sanibel Island, Florida was one of my favorite places to eat fresh seafood.
Taj Mahal Tandoori in Campbeltown, Scotland has incredible curries; it is also where I had my first bite of authentic Indian cuisine.

I suppose it is more known, but I certainly wouldn't call it a restaurant: the sushi bar at Wegman's. They, in my opinion, have the best salmon maki rolls in my area. Other than that, I'm not a fan of fast food. Though if it is the only option, I stick with Wendy's or Long John Silver's.

I don't go to restaurants very often. One that I visit several times a year is Osaka in Roosendaal. It is a good Japanese restaurant and it is an all you can eat buffet ^^. Other than that I can't think of any memorable restaurant.

Wow, no I have to decide which restaurant I've been to is my favorite. Well, I would have to say the Golden Corral Buffet on Jefferson St. in Joliet, IL. It is practically a super market in there. Fresh produce to the left, meats in the center, and desserts on the right. So good, and all for around $10, what a deal.

My favorite restaurant is the Friendship House in Rock Falls, Illinois. It is a basic 24 hour sit down restaurant. There is not too much that sets it apart, I just enjoy going there with my friends and spending time there.

A few of mine:

Places around where I currently live:

Bob Evans - (I went to one today, in fact). I pretty much go there for their breakfast food (sausage gravy in particular). I could lap up that stuff like soup. I'd probably have a heart attack before long, but I'd die happy.

Duck Deli - There are two restraunts for this... one in Duck, NC (never been to that one) and one in Doylestown, PA (the local one). I don't actually get "deli" stuff there, though ... they do barbeque, really *good* barbeque. In fact, the best I've tasted outside the Southwest so far.

Wawa - I'm not sure this really counts... it's actually a chain of *convienence stores,* often, but not always with gas stations. Theres are like 7/11s or Circle Ks, but for Pennsylvania/New Jersey/Delaware area. Unlike your typical "Quickie Mart," Wawa features custom-order hoagie sandwiches. I mean, good bread, fresh deli meats and everything. I wouldn't get a cheesteak there (they sell them, but don't have the proper griddle for a real Philly steak), but a good, basic Italian or turkey BLT? Quite awesome.

Favorite places where I used to live:

Bill Johnson's - They're a very small barbeque chain in and around Phoenix, Arizona. When I was growing up, there were only two resturants, when I left AZ about six years ago, there were three or four, including one that had opened relatively close to where I'd lived. Just really good slow-smoked barbeque, Southwest-style. I request bottles of the sauce from my parents for Christmas presents.

Popo's - A really good Sonora-style Mexican resturant. My "usual" dish there was a machaca burro, enchilada style. Their fajitas were great, too. I miss it so much... sooo, sooo much.

You guys may not have heard of it, because I think it's exclusive to either Louisiana or the south in general, but I absolutely love Raising Canes. That place has the best chicken I've ever tasted, and their exclusive sauce makes it even better.

Let's see...

Pizza Hut

I love pizza and well Pizza Hut is a classic pizza place.

TGI Fridays

Not the most popular resturant but it's a really good place. Nothing obsenely fancy but isn't exactly McDonalds grade either.

I really don't care for restaurants very often. But Wendy's is good, McDonalds isn't bad either.

I like.....
Frankfort, IL Culvers---> I always get their chicken....anyplace that has fried chicken is good.....
New Lenox, IL Chicago Dough---> They serve pizza....nothing better than pizza (or fried chicken)

Their are more locations than these, I just put the places I go to, and as far as I know their is only 1 more Chicago Dough

If anyone has been to Yankton, South Dakota, then you should know about JoDean's Steak House & Lounge. On Friday and Saturday evenings they have an all you can eat seafood buffet. Including crab legs, fried or steamed shrimp, walleye, catfish, oysters. Take your pick. I am not really into seafood that much, but shrimp is okay and I can never get enough crab legs. You can have as many as you want. It's the best place I've been. I never get my fill of crab legs. The rest of my family makes me leave before I can get the amount I want. But I always eat too much of it.

At other times, I'd say Pizza Hut. Like right now my microwave reached the end of its life so until I get a replacement, soon, Pizza Hut is what I eat, (as everything I have either has to be defrosted in a microwave or cooked entirely in one.)

Favorite restaurant? Now that's hard to choose! Here are some that I really enjoy!

Southouse-I like going to this place a lot because it's got this awesome salad bar.

Rick's Hogback Mountain BBQ-The owner does some really delicious BBQ. But now he's closed until after Memorial Day.

The Real Deal-Possibly the best Philly cheese steak ever. But they are just huge!

Clock Restaurant-It's a chain of restaurants, with yummy Greek food, plus hamburgers.

In'n'Out, the best burger joint ever created, but you'll only find it in California, and there's a few in Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. I haven't eaten there in years, though, now that I live in the South:(. As for nicer restaurants, I love The Olive Garden and Red Robin.

Considering there is quite a number of tourists in my town, there's a whole bunch of big chains. There's a street no far from my house that's pretty much the "fast food street" With McD's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, you name it. And in the past year, year and a half, the number of IHops has been growing.

But one of my favourite restaurants is a local one called the Queen's Coach. I go occaisonally, but when I do,it's for breakfast, which is amazing.

My favorite restaurant is one in the next town over, called Boyds. The food there is absolutely wonderful! The place has a really good vibe about it, the staff are friendly and there's always a huge variety of things available.

My favorite Fast Food restaurant is Burger King.

Mcdonald's! And maybe Pizza hut (I don't really like pizza that much).

I prefer to eat at Cafe's. Here in England we have chippy's (Chip shop/French fries), I occasionally get something to eat from there. Speaking monthly of course.

I really like Red Robin for a great hamburger, and Texas Roadhouse for a Pork chop (Although I must admit it's actually the unlimited free bread is my favorite).

As for breakfast/lunch I usually stick to various local chains. <3

My favorite restaurant would have to be Don's Bar & Grill, I go for the food because im under age of course :D.
This is really an amazing restaurant the double bacon cheese burger with fries is my favorite, the catfish is great too, but If I want to be full for a while I get the DBC because this burger is like 6 inches tall!

The only thing that comes close would be either Applebees or Colton's, these are chain restaurants and Don's is not of course.

For a sit down restaurant; Hard Rock Cafe.
Expensive, but I've never had a better bacon cheese burger.

I'm not sure if it's considered a restaurant per se, but it's awesome food. There's this one fry truck downtown that's been there for a long time. They serve what's gotta be the best fries(or chips, as they call them) in the whole city.

My goodness, just the smell of them makes me happy...
