Zeldanime Project the Remaking of the Old Zelda Cartoons

Hey I just wanted to promote my and Onichild's new project called Zeldanime! It's basically a remake of the Zelda cartoons and the first games. It's basically for old school Zelda fans who love nostalgia.

Yes that is Zelda, we wanted to portray a very strong Zelda, who can protect herself in a battle. =)

Well like I said it's not only my project, Onichild on Deviantart is the one who draws it. I'm the one who colours all the pictures =)

Very good. Very, very good. You have beautiful art so there is nothing to complain there. I must also say that I really like how you keep the spirit of the old cartoon without going into cheese mode. You also don't go into, dark, depressing, emo mode. No, this feels like a real adventure story. Ooooooh, it makes me tingle, please make more.

Thank you so much Chargewithasword! That means a lot to us! Yeah you're totally right, whenever i check out a zelda fan comic it's either about an OC or about depressing Link or something. They never catch the real adventure feeling what Zelda is about. It's not about how emo Link gotten himself into, it's about magic, adventure, discoveries and especially the Triforce! =D

So crazy, are you guys going to adapt the plots of the cartoon? I know the cartoon was cheesy, but the plots were good. It was just the dialouge that brought it down.

The Ringer for instance was a fairly simple plot that was nice, but had some pretty bad dialouge. Then there was the plot with Dark Zelda, which I thought was nice.

Then there are stupid plots like "The moblins Revolt" and that waterpark episode.

I mean, there are good things about the cartoon, and if this is an adaption, maybe you could try remaking one of the episodes?

Well I can't tell you much about the whole project, but you nailed it. Yes we are taking some of the cartoon plots, Zelda I, Zelda II plots and some of the old school comic plots. The first episode is basically more of an intro with Zelda, Link and the triforce. =) The second well you can guess which remake episode that will be ;)

Don't worry about the plots, I think Oldschool Zelda fans are going to love them. Trust us!

Blood and Ashes, a cliffhanger! I need more, I want more. This is so well colored and spread. The panels are done to get the best intensity and humor out of every scene. I am looking forward for more from you two.

Another cliffhanger yes! =D Zelda vs Link! I always wanted to see a real battle between them in the game. But I guess Nintendo hasn't provided us that (yet). =D So we're going to have them fight in the comic!

And thanks, Onichild is really great at paneling.. Although we have a hard time with adding the speechbubbles ^^"

Shouldn't this technically be called "Zelda Manga" or more specifically "Zelda Manga-styled webcomic"? Then again Zeldanime has a little nicer ring to it.

So far, it's quite cheesy, but in a good way. The colours could have been a little less vibrant, though.
