I might sell it because since I have a Wii, and I seen gameplay, and it looks good. The Price is no problem. It's just what is better. The GC Version or the Wii Version? And How much should I sell LoZ:Tp for the GC!
Thanks!
Don't do it! You will regret it!
I know I would. It's the same game, but with crappier controls...

The controls are actually more fun with the Wii version, it kind of makes you feel like you was in the game :)
I haven't played the GC version, but the Wii version doesn't have crappy controls imo

I thought GC games could work in the Wii???
I don't know about TP, though, because the controls are customed to Wii, with the flipping, right-handed Link and such.
If you do, make sure you are selling it back to a place that still takes GC games for resale. Not everybody does anymore. GameStop has been good for me on the buying end of things (getting a used GC and getting cheap games for it). You will be helping out scavengers like myself with the old system, but you need to make sure you can find the scavengers to sell to. (I already have TP, myself).

I have played both versions, and for me I like the GC controls better, but if you want a little more challenge to aim and such then try the Wii version. I personally have trouble getting over Link being right handed.

I wouldn't bother. In my opinion it would be a waste of time because there aren't any real benefits (unless you like Wii controls).
There's very little difference between the two versions. The Wii controls are the only significant one, although on the Wii you can equip three weapons at a time whereas on the Gamecube you can only equip two (which is fricken' annoying, by the way). In my opinion (and bear in mind that I haven't played it on the Wii), the controls are a bit gimmicky, and without the advanced detection of Wii Motion Plus, I think the controls would be kind of unsatisfying. I have actually heard people complaining about this, like how swinging the remote like a sword doesn't mean much because it doesn't follow your motions; it's the same as pressing the sword button.
The only other difference is the mirroring. The Wii version has everything mirrored so the map is flipped and Link is now right-handed. Some people actually have trouble with the hand switch (mainly long-time Zelda players I think), and the mirror also means that the map and game isn't accurate because the GC version has the original, official map.
I thought GC games could work in the Wii???
He's thinking of getting it purely because of the different controls, not because he can't play his GC copy. ;) But yes, you're right, it can.

They are basically the same thing. If you like wii controls then I guess you can try it.I wouldn't risk it if you don't like wii controles then no don't sell

The motion controls don't make you feel like you're in the game, you'd have to be the worst kind of stupid to think that.

I wouldn't. For several reasons...
1. I've seen the flipped world on the Wii, and it looks very "off." I also hate the idea of a right-handed Link.
2. Classic-style games like Zelda are generally better played with a controller anyway. The only way to make a game work on the Wii, is to really design it from the ground up with the Wii in mind. I've tried playing many games that were "ported" to the Wii, and it ALWAYS feels dodgy.
3. The Wii can play the GCN version, and the graphics will look just as good either way. The GCN can't play the Wii version.
4. I've seen all of the possible configurations of the different versions of TP, and the best is actually on a GCN that has a digital out port. TP looks slightly better on that than on Wii, again probably because it was designed for GCN.

I think the general consensus is that you are better off keeping your GC version unless you REALLy want to try the Wii version. But ultimately it is your choice :)

Don't do it, as the controls are not as accurate as they should be, in the wii version.
plus, it might get weird playing the game on a mirrored map

Don't do it. I have the Wii version and you get no control over the camera unless you Z-Target.

GCN for sure! there is very little difference between the two games. and any differences that are worth note (the green jelly can be seen on youtube. also both versions have their respective glitches, but the gcn version has some that the wii doesn't (Zelda TP LJA on youtube) which can open up some pretty cool off map areas. it is also easier to cd stream with a gcn game than a wii game (well not easier but faster for sure!). anyway whatever you do keep the gcn version!

You've got to be kidding me.
That alone is a really good reason to keep the GC version... at least for me. Do you realize how much I move the camera? I'm looking all over the place. Especially fighting Phantom Zant. During that fight I was spinning the camera so much, trying to spot him. :xd:
If you ask me, keep all your GC games. If you try to trade them in, or sell them you'll get like $10. Which doesn't seem worth it to me. I can still play SNES games and have fun, so I'm sure 10 years from now my GC games will still be fun. I'm waiting to buy a Wii until the next Zelda comes out myself. Than I might buy TP and replay it on the Wii just because I'm anal, and want to beat every Zelda game ever made. But if money really isn't an issue, and I was in your place and owned a Wii I would just buy it and keep my GC version. Like I said trading in/ selling GC games is almost pointless now a days.

I think we've all got a general idea that its best to keep the GC version and not bother with the Wii version. Is is more of one or the other, because if you do one and the other, it is going to feel weird.
