Zelda 2: THe Adsventure of Link Question

How exactly do I get to Barba? I have tried everything. I did everything else in the Palace. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Beware, it's from memory, which may be a bit sluggish over the years....

But anyway... You know that hole where you can fall down a few floors and end up at the top again?
It's one floor up from the bottom (right / east side of the palace). The bottom floor is some sort of a dead-end. On the right there is one of those crumbling bridges (up right has a red jar in the statue, which you may very well need).

Go up from here and turn right. He, you will find this gap in the high walkway, about four tiles wide, with two crumbling blocks in the middle. If you jump across, you'll reach a dead-end with an extra life. Do so if you like, it's not far away or something...

Anyway this smal gap with the two diappearing blocks is the secret.
Fall down and here it comes....

Use your fairy magic here and go right once more. I think you can't miss from her on.
If you don't have magic, you'll find yourself on the crumbling bridge I talked about in the first paragraph.
Quickly walk right before you fall to get that red magic jar.

Now you are at the dead-end-bottom of the dungeon, preserve your magic and start reading from paragraph 1.
I usually have myself killed, so you start with full magic again with your new life. Plus the dungeon holds an extra Link doll, so you'll still have as many tries as you should.

Have fun with one of the best bosses in the whole series! I'm not sure which one took most of my lifes, this one or A FAIR BATTLE with the final boss (no cheap tricks, I don't like that. It feels very, very unsatisfying that way)
