Malladus

It seems that Malladus isn’t really a train because he needs Zelda’s body to come back because she’s royalty. Is this going to be something like Puppet Zelda from Twilight Princess for the final boss? Discuss here.

Well I believe Nintendo might be recycling the idea of something possessing the body of the person you're trying to save from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

Who knows, it might be a phase or maybe the entire battle. However I hope it's just a phase (hopefully the last for increased epicness). I'm rather looking foward to it. However I'm sad that I won't be able to play it until 12/25/09. :P

well you hit the mark mandym287. There's gonna be something like that in the game, :) that is what i can say. Look below if you want to see what i mean, but if your an anti-spoiler, don't look.

ok now that i said that, I'll point something out. Since malladus ain't Originally a train then... what is he? he resembles Ganondorf at lot, heck it could be somehow an ancient entity like the enemies from ages past. (i'm thinking maybe majora or an ancient beast created by the dark interlopers but that is unlikely) Still it could be a possibility. though i have no proof i think these beast was alive during the time before the events of OoT. why cause the game says this beast existed way back in the old days, Way way back.

I'll put a guide here as well on how to beat malladus on his 3-phase battle. Highlight to see. if you DON'T want to see HOW to defeat the beast please LOOK away right now, DON'T HIGHLIGHT the following OR you may end up ruining your experience. This was made based on how I played. (If you think this is not appropriate, thenplease remove it if you like.)

phase 1 Demon train, Malladus
You will ride the train and the train form of malladus begins, first he will try to attack you with some cannons, Malladus has 3 train parts in phase 1, the back the middle and his face. Get rid of them, that's basically it.
When your near his back, he will try to fire cannons at you, he has 5 on each part so good luck hitting them all, from time to time he will speed up and switch tracks,TRY NOT TO GO BEHIND HIM, because he will slow down and you have to slow down to avoid damage. Go to his side and hit all the cannons until there are no more. after all the cannons are destroyed, he detaches the part. Be careful of violet flames, they will appear on the track as you progress. continue doing this on the middle train part until your left with his face, he has no cannons left so he will try to shot beams at you, hit the beam generator at his sides like the cannon, and when your in front of his face, HIT him! rinse wash repeat and there! Phase 1 done!

Phase 2 begins, "Cole and Possessed Zelda or PZ"
You and Phantom Zelda will go try and get PZ at the front of the train, cole will hinder your movements. move Phantom zelda and make her go straight to PZ, Cole will summon ghostly rats that will go around zelda, Hit them all to make her move otherwise, Cole will control her and make her attack you, to server the control, use the boomerang and hit the strings controlling zelda and your back. continue doing this until you reach PZ, PZ will fire a devastating Red beam at link and link MUST hide behind Phantom Zelda while progressing through, once Phantom Zelda grabbed PZ Link must Shoot a Light arrow at PZ to free malladus from Zelda's body. Phase 2 ends.

Phase 3 begins "Malladus' true form"

malladus has turned into his beast form and is now going into an infernal destructive rage. Zelda will channel her energy and you must protect her at all costs, This fight is kinda like Phantom Ganon, except the fire balls he shots at you won't bounce back. If you succeeded, Zelda will ask you to play the Spirit Flute. After that Malladus will suddenly have a mark on is blue back and you must distract him while zelda shots a light arrow on his back, distract him by attacking his claws and run for it when he turns around, keep distracting him until zelda shoots the light arrows on his bacl, you can move zelda as well to make shooting the arrow easier. Continue doing this until his horns grlow red, attack his horns with your sword and it soon breaks, repeat the process until he has no horns left. then when he has no horns left, attack his head. there will be a "chance like moment" where you will rub the stylus on the screen. keep doing it till zelda comes and helps you, when she is near you, keep rubbiong until you have bested the beast.
