I would love to have Mega Man join the group. He'd have some great moves with the mega buster, and maybe give him some optional classic villain weaponry as special moves.

One thing I would love is to have an 8-bit option. Maybe not so much in terms of character selection like TP Link and WW Link, but possibly have 8-bit versions of characters as costume changes when you cycle through the colour options. It's not a new character as such, but I think it would be a hoot to have 8-bit Mario and Link fighting 3-D characters.

Both those ideas would be awesome. We could use a greater variety of Fire Emblem characters. I mean, we don't only need the main Lord characters that use swords; Soren would be a perfect addition. Another Fire Emblem character I'd like to see is Hector. With an axe, he'd have a different fighting style.

The hunters from Metroid would be cool too; I mean, as far as I know, Samus is the only Metroid character in any SSB game. They could have an interesting variation on Kirby's ability with Gandrayda too. Perhaps if you KO'ed someone as her, you'd get one of their attacks?

Other than that, Dry Bones :D. He's been in two Mario Kart games, why not SSB?

I have updated my list of characters and moves for them.

Maverick Hunter Megaman (that's the original Megaman). A lot of people have said they would like to see the NT Warrior Megaman, but I think that would be a waste because that is NOT the original Megaman. Here are his attacks.

-basic attacks are bunching and kicking
-B attack would be his arm gun
-hitting down and B would transform Megaman to different colors which would correspond with a new power. For example, if he was red, his B attack would be a flamethrower or a fireball. If he was pinkish his B attack would be tornados and he would move faster and be able to jump higher but his attacks would be weaker. If he was brown he would shoot rocks as a B attack, move a little slower but be a little stronger. etc...

Zero/Protoman (the original one, not the NT Warrior Protoman). His attacks would be:

-B button would be a beam sword attack
-left/right and be would be a dash attack
-up and B would a teleport attack

I also think Toad and Waluigi should be in the next game, just because Toad has always been a semi-main character and they have Wario so they should have Waluigi.

Chibirobo haha. They should have Chibirobo because they always have a couple "silly" characters. He would use like a toothbrush and stuff to attack with and have a little laser beam and his costume options would be the different costumes you can get in the game.

I think it would be awesome to have Vaati's "human" form as a character with different sorcerer powers. And Ganondorf definitely needs a sword and his own moves (rather than ripped off captain falcon moves).


OH and I just saw El Bagu's avatar and i think that one, or all of the Battletoads should be characters. If they pick one then they need to pick the one with sunglasses but i cant remember if thats zitz or rash.

A bit of topic but for those of you who are curious, the toad with the glasses is Rash and he could be a good choice for a character I think. I love toads and the Battletoads are quite interesting, entertaining and "spectacular" fighters ;)

To me especially, Smash Bros. makes a big representation of all of Nintendo's great series, and I feel some of them are a little bit under-recognized - as in, they don't contribute enough characters made playable in Brawl. (Assist Trophies and Boss Battles are good ways to shove a few more in.)

Metroid is a great example here, as it is one of Nintendo's best and most popular series, yet the only character from it who's playable in Brawl is Samus. I understand she is usually the only character in most Metroid games (aside from bosses that really CAN'T be made playable), but some of the newer games like Metroid Prime Hunters and Metroid Prime 3 introduce other bounty hunters - and we already know Metroid: Other M will have a few more characters. Metroid Prime 3 was released a bit too late during Brawl's development, so it contributes nothing, and Hunters isn't distinguished enough, so that's a good excuse to include no other Metroid characters. It does emphasize the "loneliness" well. I expect to see more of them (likely other hunters) in the next Smash Bros. game, though.

F-Zero is another series that's a bit under-represented character-wise. Captain Falcon is the only one. It's not their most popular series and does seem to be fading, but it's heavily centered around its characters and has many to contribute. It's at least fair to see some of the original four from the SNES F-Zero. (The other three being Dr. Stewart, Pico, and Samurai Goroh.)

The EarthBound/MOTHER series isn't terribly underrepresented (at least, as far as this game goes - it even has a boss), but there's ONE more character that I feel must bee here if Ness and Lucas are: Ninten. If they have the main heroes of MOTHER 2 (EarthBound) and MOTHER 3, then it's only logical that the main hero of MOTHER 1 should play a part, even if he does happen to be Ness's paralell. (As a side note, I don't know why they had Jeff as the assist trophy.)

Pikmin could maybe use more characters. I know there's some other little buddy with Olimar in Pikmin 2 who could also be here, though I forget his name (Louie or something like that?). I haven't played any Pikmin games, so I don't really know the emphasis on other characters or how well they would fit in Brawl. It very well could be that having just Olimar works perfectly. Maybe it also has that theme of being "alone" like Metroid does, but a little different seeing as you have the Pikmin (in both Pikmin and Brawl.) It might be emphasized more, too.

Animal Crossing has no playble characters in Brawl, but they do have their own stage. This is a different story, however. This is one case where it's appropriate to have so few (zero) characters, as it helps reflect the nature of Animal Crossing, as it doesn't involve any sort of fighting or even characters being enemies.

A few of the series with only one character still find it appropriate because of how old they are. Ice Climber and Kid Icarus were made back when games had few characters. The hero and the main villain were usually the only characters who fought at all, and the main villain was usually some huge beast that wouldn't fit comfortably as playable in Super Smash Bros.

R.O.B. and Mr. Game & Watch are both from their own thing, but neither is really a series or a single game as much as it is hardware - so, naturally, neither of them came with a whole host of characters. Their roles in Brawl would be ruined, or at least damaged, if other characters from the same "series" were included. Likewise, other Metal Gear or Sonic the Hedgehog characters would ruin Snake's or Sonic's role (respectively) as cameos in Brawl.

So, some more characters would be nice for many of the series, while some that are low in numbers don't really need any because the character is meant to be distinguished, or was simply the only character from that series.

If another Fire Emblem character was added, it'd have to be Lyndis. Chick was amaaaaazing. Only problem is her less-than-modest clothing design... it'd have to be altered to keep people from taking too-revealing screenshots.

And Sephiroth. YES I SAID IT. He's like... almost as crazy as Kefka, but not quite. But he makes up for it with his incredibly delicious looks and fabulous costume design. We'd get another swordsman, and perhaps some of his oh-so-awesome moves.

Given SSBs controls, Ryu from Street Fighter. He would be alot easier to use due to there not being the requirement of button combinations to do his special moves.

Okay six epic characters in brawl. Naruto (shippuden). His final smash would be Wind Style: Rasenshuriken. The effects of which is about 150 points of damage dealt and poisons the recipiant to take damage until they get blasted off the stage. Naruto (child). His final smash would be summoning jutsu in which he summons Gamabunta (the gigantic toad) and the effect is a guaranteed ko for all the players (excluding naruto) within about half the stage. Sasuke (shippuden). His final smash would be the summoning jutsu in which he summons a gigantic snake which devours all characters, digests them a little (200 damage), and then launches them. Sasuke (child). His final smash would be the Chidori and it deals 100 damage then launches the recipiant. Sakura (shippuden). Her final smash would be medincal ninjutsu that heals herself and in team battles also heals her teammates. The final one is... TINGLE!! Not really but he'd make a fun target. Anywho the last one is Kakashi. His final smash would be Sharingan which copies the nearest players final smash then excutes it.

But yeah Fawful would have a final smash of peach's castle crush and would deal an instant 1000% of damage (instant ko) to all characters that don't have a starman or managed to avoid ig by running to the other half of the stage.

Honestly, I've thought of this a whole bunch. Not only what I would put in personally, but also what possibilities are there for future Smash Bros. titles. Things I've come up with are the obvious things that we all have thought of, good ol' Cloud, possibly Squall (Mostly 'cause I like the gunblade, I wasn't really a big fan of that one) and other FF characters. With Dissidia having just come out though, I'm not sure we'll be seeing them in any Smash Bros. real soon.

Then I got into who I'd really like to see get in a fight just for the hell of it. One word. Batman. Or two words. Bat Man. Hyphenated? Bat-Man? I'm sticking with one word. Batman would totally kick *** in such a game and I have no doubt that he would have a pretty easy move set to come up with. He needs lots of punches and kicks, then Batarangs and that's basically it. Maybe a cape stun or something like in Arkham Asylum (Which by the way is awesome).

Then, of course I got to thinking of what game it seemed had almost the same fighting system in the first place and I found it. Tales of Symphonia. You have a regular attack on A and special attacks depending on your direction plus the B button. It's the same thing! I totally wanna see Zelos beat the crap out of Ness now. He'd also have a pretty simple move set. Sonic thrust for forward B with maybe a charge up thing or something, up B could be his light spear, then his other attacks could be any number of the moves he had to choose from in the game.

Moving on, I remembered that this is generally a Nintendo thing, so I figured I'd stick with that and ended up thinking of among my favorite titles for a new gen console and decided Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes would make a perfect addition. He's just hectic enough for Super Smash Bros. and would have no trouble entering the fray. I think he'd be great.

I think my list will stop there for now because I'm sure my vernacular has bored you all to tears. I think perhaps perambulation over to my chaise and retire until the morn.

Actually, there have been quite a few Naruto games for PS2 as well as I believe DS. There was also a fighting game with several characters from Jump Comics released for DS that was actually quite similar to Super Smash Brothers in the way that there was a buttload of characters who readily beat the living shyte out of each other without any particular reason.

I don't necessarily know if Naruto characters would be good or not in Smash, but hey, I'm up for anything.

Why do you want Naruto Charachters in Brawl? Like i've said before, and not only me, Naturo isn't a game in the first case, it's more anime and it has it's own Fighting games on every console. Second they aren't really Nintendo characters, yeah Snake is als not anymore, put in the past metal Gear was a game from Nintendo. Third, Naruto has nothing to do with video games, it's more a Anime/Manga based entertainment than video games. The games from naruto are just for the extreme Naruto fan's. SSB series has a better gameplay than Naruto though.

As for in Brawl i really wished Vaati or Waluigi. Waluigi just because he's so wacky and funny, i would like to play as this skinny guy, he can also have a great moveset with as Final Smash something to do with Bombs. he can be really tricky and sneaky, a sneaky person like Waluigi would be really fine. Onfurtunately he appeared as a stupid assistance.

Vaati is also a totally amazing from The Legend of Zelda series, his sorcery allows him to have a great move set and final smashes. The only games i saw Vaati was the Four Swords games including Minish Cap, so fighting with him in Brawl wil be totally awesome. They can easily kick Mr. game and Watch or something out, since i only know him as a very pointless, worthless and plenty more character. Just a piece of paper, so not cool.
Vaati can handle a set like Zelda, pure magic.

I've heard of Geno as well, many people are like him i wants him into Brawl. Will also be very awesome if he WAS. Change him for R.O.B. or something, just another pointless character. His only appearance was in Super Mario RPG The Legend of The Seven Stars wich was a really awesome game. I liked more characters out of the game.
Also Black Shadow from F-zero would be nice, since F-zero needs more love, and also a new great game after F-Zero GX.

I'll tell ya who should be in the next SSB; Ninten/Ana, Teddy, and/or Poo from Earthbound Zero and 1. Ninten or Ana should be like Ness or Lucas-- but with COMPLETELY different movesets! HOw about PK Beam instead of Fire? Freeze should be there too, but not like PK Flash. It should be like an aimable line of ice that explodes on whoever's hit and then freeze them. They also need PK Shield instead of Magnet, because it could be like a mirror shield that protects you and your allies. Thunder should also be more like a scatter of lightning bolts from above, and should be like a mini PK Starstorm. which brings me to the final smash: PSI Block. It should prevent opponents from attacking and limit them to movement and jumping.
Teddy should be like a swordsman, with the ability to summon B.B. Gang members. His final smash should either be summoning EVE the robot, or getting the giant tank to try and knock out everyone, and then explode on him.
Poo should be like a combination of Link's sword, and Ness' PSI Powers. Instead of PSI Flash, Freeze, or a PSI power as a standard move, he oughta get Mirror, which temporarily turns him into a targeted enemy. He should also get PSI Brainshock, Thunder, and Fire. His final smash should also be Starstorm, since it's his signature move. Which reminds me, Ness should have Rockin as his final smash, since it's his signature move.
Other than that,Maxwell, from Scribblenauts.

I'd like to see Simon Belmont from Castelvania in the next SSB.

He'd have his whip (of course) which would make up his A attacks.
B would be him throwing daggers that inflict low damage.
Up B would make him throw axes in a arch above his head.

Forward B would make him throw a cross that goes in front of him and in back of him before returning to him.
Final Smash could be him activating the stop watch causing everyone else (or one person) to freeze so he can go to town on them.

Ok, here's my official list of who I want:
-Bowser Jr. He's become a pretty important character in the Mario series and is now in as many games as his father, Bowser.
-Daisy. I think that lately she's become a pretty vital part of the Mario series and is in EVERY Party/Kart/sports game. SSB needs a stronger female presence too.
-King K. Rool. The Mario, Zelda and Kirby series have their main villains in the game so I think DK should have his too.
-Toon Zelda. She's been in 3 of the last 5 Zelda games so why not? She could turn into Tetra just like how Zelda can turn into Sheik.
Meowth. Srsly.
-Poo. Only because of his name.
-Krystal from StarFox. I think she seems pretty cool and should be added.
-Animal Crossing Villager. I know it sounds kind of stupid but I think the movesets would be pretty easy (net, axe, etc.) and the final smash could be a train or something.
-Tails OR Shadow. NOT both. Although I'd like a few third party characters, not too many since it IS a Nintendo game.
-Some third party character that's really bad*** because the ones I've listed above are really cartoony and childish. Someone really awesome is needed.

I don't think that any characters should be excluded, despite what people have said about Olimar. I use him quite frequently and I think he's a pretty good character after you've had some practice with him. Plus I think his final smash was pretty great. I also think that characters with similar or duplicate move sets should be redesigned because there's no point to having Link AND Toon Link if they do the same things. I also think everyone should have a different final smash too.

There's really not any new game series since Pikmin other than Nintendogs.. Nintendo needs some new franchises.

I also do NOT want:
Ridley. I just think he's really unrealistic. He's like ten times the size of everyone else and yet everyone wants him as a character.
All these anime characters like Naruto and stuff. Why would they be in SSB? I don't get it.

To be realistic I'll use the pattern of how SSB games get new characters. Atleast I think they use this. I do want megaman so badly. So the pattern is that in SSB the characters we're from N64 and below. SSBM had characters from the N64. SSBB had characters from the GC and GBA. SSBD(Super Smash Bros. Duel) will have characters from the Wii and DS and the original 12 of course. I'd really want the Chibi-robo robot in SSBD. I'd want Tetris pieces too. Maybe a tetris stage.

Having Shadow as a "pseudo clone" to Sonic would be a good idea I think. It's not like they don't already to do it; Link/Toon Link, Captain Falcon/Ganondorf, Mario/Luigi, are all examples. I would imagine that Shadow would be a slower, more powerful version of Sonic, like Ganondorf is to Captain Falcon. Having him as an assist trophy was nice, but I think it would've been better if he was used as a compliment character, since hardly any of the playable characters were the only ones featured from their respective games. But eh, it might've been pushing it, since Sonic was 3rd party anyway.

I want them to get rid of Snake (I don't want Nintendo to start flooding SSB with non-Nintendo characters, Sonic can stay because he is cool, and fits more in Nintendo consoles) and Jigglypuff.

What do you have against Jigglypuff? Jigglypuff has been in all 3 SSB games.

On this one, I'm going to have to go with Midna or Vaati.

Here are my two choices

Megaman:
Small ,Kinda slow, not good jumper, but packs a punch.
Regular:
Shooting in all directions
Special:
Up:Item #1 from Megaman 2, but he automatically starts riding it
Down:Rain Flush and has a small radius around him.
Side:Charge Kick
Regular Special:It has a bunch of the powerups and it randomly chooses one.
Final Smash:He uses every powerup from every game all at once.

Cecil from FF 5 or 4 can't remember:
Medium, packs a punch, medium speed
Dont know, but down speacial could be he turns into a paladin.

Bill from Contra would we cool. It would be even cooler if he did a special move or taunt when you input the Konami code. Little Mac, Pimple Zitz or Rash from Battletoads, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Rayman. If Sonic and Snake could get in, why can't these guys get in?

Ridley, its about time that Nintendo treats some of its other franchises besides Mario and Zelda with some more respect. Plus we need as many willians as we do heros
