Hey, it’s me! Mandy!!
I’m writing a story to be the sequel to Phantom Hourglass.
Give me any feedback and recommendations, they are gladly accepted! I want this to be a success!
Here is what I have so far, and I hope you enjoy it. Oh and I'm not sure how to rate it so if one of the webmasters could help me out with that, that'd be great.
Note that some of the formatting is a little goofed up from copying it from Word to here.
Debate buzzed about their ship as they set off in search of land to be the New Hyrule. Link remained silent as Tetra continued to persuade Niko, Gonzo, and Mako that the Ghost Ship was more than a dream.
“Just drop it!” Senza hardly ever got this irritated, yet he was the one to complain, “Does it matter? Whether it exists or not, let’s just get our minds off it.”
Tetra was about to scold him by the look on her face, but it faded to a relaxed expression, “Yes, let’s. Remember, we’re actually doing something this time, other than searching for treasure…” her voice trailed off.
Link saw what she was looking at. In the distance, were ominous clouds, definitely of which contained a storm. An eerie breeze sent chills down his spine. Tetra went pale, but none of the other pirates seemed to see anything.
Suddenly, Gonzo looked around, confused. “Where’s Miss Tetra? And Link, for that matter? Where’d they go to?”
Tetra gasped as their surroundings changed into some sort of shrine. Was this Hyrule? The thought made her wonder if Hyrule had somehow been restored and by whom. Her thoughts were interrupted by Link, who was still with her.
“Tetra, look—there’s a pedestal where a sword must’ve been,” he pointed, and then focused on the emblems behind it. “What is this place?”
A voice behind them spoke, making them both jump, “This, my friends, is where the Four Sword has been resting… was resting,” a grin spread across his face, “I guess that means I will succeed this time… since there’s no—” he paused, looking at Link and the familiar tunic he wore. The figure ran away, vanishing into nowhere.
Tetra heard of a few legends including the Four Sword, remembering that the evil it was meant to stop was a Wind Mage, by the name of Vaati. He wasn’t in just legends including it; there were others. Tetra had heard of the Minish, but no one had ever seen them—well not now, at least. They have all been wiped out. Except for Vaati.
She seemed to be trapped in her own thoughts until her stone spoke to her. “Tetra, listen well,” she recognized the voice as the King of Hyrule, which troubled her and knew that it was going to be bad news. Link came over to listen as well “I must tell you that both sages have been killed. I’m concerned about this, for I do not know how it happened.”
Tetra looked at the pedestal that once held the Four Sword. “What about Vaati?”
Apparently the he had been ruling Hyrule when Vaati’s last incident had occurred because he recognized the name, “Well, I hadn’t thought of that, but I highly doubt it because it’s been a long time since—“
“We’re in the shrine of the Four Sword! It’s the only explanation!” Tetra was mad at how unaware he was of things. She waited for his answer, but none came. There was no one at the other end.
Almost no one. Vaati’s voice was mocking, “We’re having some minor difficulties at this time, please come again later.”
Tetra was furious at Vaati. She meant to ask the King if Hyrule has been restored.

Ganondorf looked around for a moment before remembering where he was. He fixed his eyes on the sword that lie on the floor, the Blade of Evil’s Bane. Then the memories came flooding back to him. He was unsure how he was alive, but he didn’t care. He was just grateful he had kept that Zora scale with him. Ganondorf never knew why he kept it, but now he was glad. What stumped him the most was why the gods would let him be revived after all he’s done. He picked up the Master Sword, unsure what to do with it, but ended up just keeping it with his own swords.
He still possessed powers, even without his Triforce, but he had always had these skills. Ganondorf left his tower, almost falling into one of his own traps. To see Hyrule Field once again, made him cringe. He had a plan, but he needed to gain trust and not go his usual ways, at least not for a while. It crossed his mind multiple times that there was a good reason for his return, but ignoring those thoughts, Ganondorf was ready to trick Link, Tetra, and Daphenes. But it would be hard to pull off, considering that he succeeded in this before and his betrayal would make doing this again a challenge.
In Hyrule Castle, Ganondorf heard the King struggling and found him tied up with a boy laughing at him. A perfect opportunity, he thought to himself. The King’s eyes widened in fear to see Ganondorf lift the Master Sword above his head. Vaati, seeming to know someone was there—Daphenes’s expression was a hint—dodged Ganondorf’s attack, unsheathed his own sword, and prepared for a duel. Ganondorf send a blow at Vaati’s shoulder. The swords clashed and Vaati seemed to know Ganondorf’s every attack. Ganondorf used reverse psychology, making simple moves that Vaati wouldn’t expect from him. It worked—the first time. Vaati, wincing in pain, continued on. Now Vaati was aware of Ganondorf’s trick and again knew his attacks. Now that Vaati was weakened, Ganondorf was able to hit him a few more times. Before Ganondorf could kill him, which was his talent, Vaati teleported out of the Castle.
Ganondorf helped free Daphenes. And the King now understood why Ganondorf wasn’t still frozen in stone back in his tower: the Master Sword had lost its power because the sages were now dead. And it was Vaati who killed them, he was sure of it.
“Th-thanks…” Daphenes felt embarrassed because it was Ganondorf, the King of Evil, who saved him. “Can I ask you a favor, Ganondorf?”
Hoping he was winning his opportunity, he played dumb, “…What? What do you need?”
“I need you to come with me to the Shrine of the Four Sword,” he seemed hesitant of asking Ganondorf this. He didn’t exactly trust him, nor liked him very much, but he seemed like the only one he could ask.
Ganondorf stared at him, that wasn’t what he had in mind but didn’t turn down the request. “Okay… Wait. Why are we going there, anyway?”
“I’ll explain things later, when I’m going to have to explain things.” Daphenes thought of how Link and Tetra would react if they saw Ganondorf alive without an explanation from him. Definitely not a pretty picture.

Link was gathering berries and Tetra was searching for a nearby source of water. They weren’t familiar with this place and were just setting up a small camp and food, so they wouldn’t risk getting lost. Tetra smiled when she found it—a stream of silver leading to the mouth of a great river. All the foliage kept it so well hidden. But it didn’t seem overgrown, had someone been taking care of this place?
Tetra hurried back to Link. “I did find a source of water; I’ll show it to you.” She led Link to the river. “Have you noticed that this place doesn’t seem overgrown—well, for a shrine?”
Link shrugged, peering into the water. He then pulled out the fishing rod that he received from Romanos’s father back on Bannan Island.

The pirates searched everywhere for Link and Tetra, but never found them. The clouds were overhead and heavy downpour came from them.
“Maybe the Ghost Ship is real, and it has taken them again!” Niko was getting ready to go beneath the decks, but Gonzo grabbed him.
“Listen, Niko, we have more important things to worry about—the storm is getting fierce. I mean, Tetra is with Link—he always saves her, so if they’re in any real danger, she’ll be fine.”
“But, we can’t just take him for granted, Gonzo. What if—” Niko was cut off by a clap of thunder. The rain came down even harder.
“I see land ahead!” Zuko pointed northeast, “We should dock there, at least until the storm passes.”

Daphenes looked at the pedestal and then at the little campsite that was set up nearby. He made sure Ganondorf was still behind him. “This way, I think. I can hear something.”
“I’m pretty sure you hear the sound of a flowing river,” Ganondorf looked around to see if he could spot it from here. “Anyway, just stay here. They’ll probably return here soon.”
The King sighed before sitting down on a log. Ganondorf stayed standing, in case he needed to run from Link, to make him believe that Ganondorf feared him—which he sort of did, after all, he ruined his plans.
It was a while before Tetra and Link returned with some fish. They didn’t know how to react, so they just stood there.
“Heya!” Ganondorf was trying hard to be friendly and shot them a small wave.
“Um… Hi, Ganondorf…” Tetra gave Daphenes a strange look before turning to Link. He still stood there very confused—why did Ganondorf say hi to us instead of killing us? And why is he even here?
Ganondorf realized that the saying was true: Pretending to be what you’re not, will make you believe that you are. His plan wasn’t going to work—he didn’t know why he changed this time, and not the last time. But he did. He walked up to Link, and, without saying anything, handed him the Master Sword.
Link looked at it for a moment before trying to read Ganondorf’s expression. “King? What’s going on here?” He spoke with concern, worried that the Master Sword must’ve given Ganondorf head trauma.
“Well, with the sages dead, Ganondorf was freed and—” He was cut off by Tetra.
“We figured that, but why is he, like, you know, not killing us?”
