A while back I noticed that Fado the sage of wind seems to have quite a few connections to other aspects of the zelda games.
1. He wears kokori garb
2. Like our hero he has a direct connection to the winds
3. there is a flap hanging down his front with a design on it tucked in under his belt. This style of clothing isn't seen on any of the kokori children in OoT but closely resembles the Ordon style of clothing. The two games are on separate time lines so i know they cant have any real connection with one another. but it was neat to see that similarity.
Put all that stuff together and what do you get? nothing really.
thoughts?

Fado is a recurring name in the Zelda series. Unlike most other such names, it's always given to a completely different and usually unrelated character.
In Ocarina of Time is was a kokiri girl. It was the blonde girl who would stand on the pillar in the center of the forest, and again in the Lost Woods during the Trade Sequence. In Wind Waker, she was a male kokiri and the Sage of Wind. And finally, in Twilight Princess it was an Ordonian male.
Other than the fact that it's a name that Nintendo likes to reuse for forest-themed characters, I fail to see any significance in the repeated use of the name.
Anyway, regarding your list...
Yeah, he wears kokiri clothing because he is a kokiri. The koroks were the kokiri of that time, transformed into tree people by the Deku Tree. Fado was the Sage of Wind prior to this transformation, evidently, and died sometime before it happened. I'd argue that Link doesn't have much connection to the winds, other than his ability to manipulate them which comes from the Wind Waker. He was proclaimed the hero by the gods and got the Triforce of Courage, but he never gained wind powers. He was simply titled the Hero of Winds. So I wouldn't really say that Fado being the Sage of Wind holds any connection to Link. Link's title bore an element he had the ability to manipulate through the Wind Waker, and of course there had to be a sage for that element.
As for the third thing... well, as you said, they're on separate timelines, but also Wind Waker was made before Twilight Princess. I find it extremely unlikely they had all their plans drawn up for TP when they made WW, so I don't think there's any connection. Additionally, Fado in WW is a sage, so it stands to reason that his style of dress would be fancier than other kokiri.

Fado in TP and in WW are the same person. Here is why:
First, WW and TP are on 2 different timelines.
In WW, we see that Fado became the Sage of Wind. That happened after Adult OOT, because he wasn't a sage yet at that time.
In TP, he never became a sage because Ganondorf had never been sealed in the Sacred Realm. Plus, there was no new sages in TP like in OOT, only the old ones. So Fado in TP remained a simple villager.
And that is why there are some similitudes between them. :)

Fado in TP and in WW are the same person.
So I'm guessing you subscribe to the theory of Kokiri being human/hylian children under the protection of the Deku tree? Even though in OoT Link was told he was not a Kokiri even though he was raised by them and in both(OoT/WW) they are shown to be made by the Deku Tree?

Isn't Fado a girl in Majoras Mask? Or is it Ocarina of Time?
