Mine is Great Fairys cause it was REALLY awesome and hard too get... my second favorite would be Gilded sword :D

Biggoron Sword. I actually never knew about it until a year or so ago, so finally getting it was something of an accomplishment for me. Once I finally got it, I loved it! Having a large sword that does extra damage at the cost of a shield is an awesome concept, and one I've always favored in video games. I was also fond of the Trade Sequence required to get it. And the pose Link strikes while charging a Spin Attack with this sword is just too bad-*** for words! :xd:

I would have voted for the Great Fairy Sword, especially considering that it's far more beautiful, but... well, it's swinging arc was kind of weird, and it was only gotten at the end of the game, whereas the Biggoron Sword can be gotten as soon as you become Adult Link (provided you unfreeze King Zora first, which usually means doing the Ice Cavern.) Also, I disliked that the Great Fairy Sword was a C-Button item instead of equipment, meaning you'd have to use the C-Buttons to swing it and wouldn't be able to charge it up like the other swords. :(

A third choice would probably be the Four Sword, as it's function of splitting up was quite cool. :D

Well as for in Ocarina of Time i really liked the Biggoron Sword. It was pretty cool to walk with a large sword like that, and finally a sword that hits the enemies better that the kokiri Sword or the Master Sword. Young Link was really annoying with that short sword en i got always trouble slaying enemies with it. The Biggoron was just amazing, i fits Link also very well, he looked more like a true hero, and i liked the double damage it's dealing. It was also usefull for me at the end of OoT with Ganon battle. I had the option to choose the Biggoron sword and slay him. I really love the Biggorons Word, thats for sure.

In Majora's Mask i love The Great Fairy Sword, and it's also the one i voted for. It's really nice to see a purple-green-ish sword in any Zelda game, the markings on it are really beautiful, and i love the way to walk with such a large weapon as Young Link. It was really disappointing that the weapon was a C-button item instead of a normal Sword. Well in emulator i can change it to myu B-button but for the original game it was really disappointing. The other thing i disliked about this sword was you get it at the end of the game, so i had to deal with Majora only with the Great Fairy Sword. I wish it was like the Biggoron Sword, just do some side-quests to obtain it.
In general this Sword was my overall favorite, i wish i could see the Great Fairy Sword ever again.

But i can't forget the Master Sword. The standart sword of every Zelda game. I always like the way that it is the only Sword who can slay Ganondorf, and the only sword who holds the legend of the legendary hero.

Well, The Gilded Sword is pretty cool, it has a gold blade...It was forged from Gold Dust! It is like the Master Sword of Majora's Mask!


Forged from a Razor Sword......Combined together with the legendary Gold Dust....It sounds pretty cool. Really, I have no scholarly way to describe this sword! It is my favorite because it is a long sword, very powerful, and in OOT Young Link wasn't really seen with a sword like that. I think Majora's Mask shows how Young Link is really strong and brave and shows he is the true Hero of Time!

Well I will vote for "Master Sword". I like the name of it and also that only the chosen one can use it (that´s how I´ve figured it out to be at least). It has appeared in many games but I think I love it the most in Ocarina of Time though, mainly because it allows you to travel in time I guess.

the razor sword is my favorite, i don't care how many slashes i get, i will keep that sword until day three. then i gotta do it again.

if you only use the razor sword it adds a big challenge to the game, seeing if you can beat a temple with only 100 slashes is hardcore!!!

I have to vote for the ms as my fav sword. The reason: it's epic, looks sweet, and very powerful (it'd have to be in order to slay ganon/dorf every week and stay in brand new condition for hundreds of years). Then the four sword cuz of one factor: splitting into four people is awesome. Nuff said.

Dang you're hilarious!! But yeah it's true the master sword is awesome. It's got a cool design, sword beams (in alttp only sadly), it can defeat evil that can't be defeated through any other means, and it has a mysterious bs. What more would be expected from an enchanted blade besides cookies and pie?

My favorite sword is definitely the Great Fairy's Sword. I always loved it. Its cool design, and it is extremely powerful. The only thing I didn't like was that we had to use it with the ''C'' button. It had a long reach and it looked very awesome. :sword:

My favourite sword is the Master Sword.

As many people here might know, I'm not a big fan of Side-quests. Therefore, I don't really go out to try and get any of the other swords like the Great Fairy's Sword or the Gilded Sword.
I did get the Biggoron Sword once though, but I wasn't a huge fan. Not exactly sure why now.

Although Master Sword is all god-like and all, nothing beats the Biggoron Sword. Twice as strong, twice as big and twice as awesome! :lol: Sure, the Master Sword can kill "mystical" creatures but when coming to normal creatures (which you will face 99% of the time instead of mystical), the Biggoron Sword wins. :cool:

My favorite sword would be the Great Fairy Sword from MM. I love the designs and colors that appears on the sword. It added to it's overall awesomeness to me. :) Like some people here, I didn't like how you got it late in the game, but it is still my favorite sword overall.

I thought about it for a bit and I think I do have to go with the Master Sword. It's just the ultimate in swords and screams "Legend of Zelda" to me. It's never particularly difficult to get since you always HAVE to get it in the games it's in, but the lore behind it just makes it awesome.

I know it has to be my favourite because any time that it gets upgraded or replaced by a higher level sword, then I'm always disappointed it's not the exact same one as I pulled from the pedestal it rests in. Combine it with the traditional Hylian Shield and it's the ultimate combination of weapons for Link.

I know it's not in each and every game either, but it's just become synonymous with the traditional look of Link.

I'm going to have to say the Gilded Sword from Majora's Mask. It's so shiny and golden. Plus it's nice and long, and it's always so fulfilling to finally get the Gilded Sword in MM. I'd say the Great Fairy's Sword, accept it's a "C" item, not a real sword, which means that it automatically looses points. But yeah, I'd have to say the Gilded Sword. Strong and Shiny. Good combo.

i think i have found a new favorite! although i already voted for the razor sword i just recently found out how much i enjoy the wooden sword in TP.

its weak, looks weird and doesn't last for to long in the game since you end up having to give it to Talo. NOT!! there is a glitch to keep the sword (see my thread Keeping the Wooden Sword in the TP section) which ups the difficulty of the whole game by using it.

The Master Sword has an elegant design and is loaded with philosophical significance.

I am also partial to the Magical Sword from the first Zelda games and the Noble Sword from OoX - when you're healthy, you can shoot beams from it. It's a gun-sword!

Well, the Master Sword, through loophole more than anything else *does* give you the ability of time travel. I loved how fast the Four Swords attacks are, especially when there are four of you!

My favorite sword is the feirce deities double helix sword. It is the only time That allows you to shoot beams in a 3D world. Other then that ,The master sword. The design, the color, and the power.

In design, I prefer the Master sword. It's the one that looks the best for me. I also like the Razor sword, because the design is uncommon in the series.

Another sword that is a favorite of mine is the Great Fairy sword. I don't like how you use it as an item, and the swing angle is a little akward, but it's a really hard work to get it.

If I had to decide, I'd finally say the Master sword.

The Master Sword is truly one of the powerful ones in the entire series. You see it in almost every game. Almost. But, I do have a preference for the only two-handed sword in the early Zelda games. The Biggoron's sword. Sure, you can use it to kill Ganondorf, and getting it is brutal. Riding back and forth on Epona to complete trades is tiring. I think that's why I respect it as much, is the process of actually getting it. Feeling like you won something incredible after all the work you did... And the fact it only takes 1-2 hits on a regular enemy. And maybe 4-5 on Ganondorf's tail. Correct me if I'm wrong on the hit count on him, please.

So, my favorite. Biggoron's sword. More power, but at the drawback of not using a shield.

My favorite is the biggoron's sword from Oot, I really don't care about that you can't use a sheild you can still block but it dosen't cover as much space as the sheild will. Also it makes the Ganon and Bongo Bongo boss battles very easy and not as difficult as if you used the master sword.:nerd:

My favorite Sword is the Blade of Evil's Bane the blade that defeats darkness, the blade that banishes evil the blade that brings peace to Hyrule, The Sacred Master Sword of Hyrule. I like it because it has the power to deafeat evil i like the way it looks and I like it because it looks like Excalibur wielded by King Arthur. The Master Sword really is the prefect sword to use against the great evil and looks good with the main man Link, even if he dresses like Peter Pan. (LOL!)

Technically, the other two swords in ALttP were still the Master Sword, only upgraded in some way: the L. 3 sword was the Master Sword after it had been tempered, and the Golden Sword is what I believe to be the "true" Master Sword.

Anyway, Gilded Sword for me, both for appearance and functionality. The Biggoron Sword was nice at the time, but a recent playthrough of OoT made me realize just how "meh" it really was.

It depends on how you look at it, so...



Gameplay-wise, I'd say it's a tie between the Golden Sword (LttP) and the Biggoron's Sword (OoT). The Golden Sword because it has such an immense power: 8x as strong as the first sword (16x in case of a spin attack!). With that sword you could literally fell down Ganon in a very short time. The Biggoron's sword because of its massive range and also because you had to do some serious work for it.
For the storyline, it's of course the Master Sword (needed to beat Ganon), well it's the only sword that even has some story.
The coolest-looking blade is the Razor Sword, they should've taken that design for the Gilded Sword.

And as gameplay is the most important factor for me and LttP is very high on my list of Zelda games, the award goes to the Golden Sword.

First post for me! I agree with blubb, Razor sword was way cooler then the gilded sword appearance wise. I always thought the gilded sword looked super ugly and unusable. I voted Biggoron because it's awesome, but the Master sword was a tie really, the tapering blade at the hilt is just such a cool look.

For me, it's either the Razor Sword (because it's so freaking bad***) or the Four Sword. If I had the Four Sword I'd be playing Brawl (as Toon Link of course) with my self and I'd be all "Take that me!" and "Oh noes!". That would be a lot of fun!

My choice was close between the Great Fairy Sword and Four Sword, but I chose the Four Sword.

On one hand, the GF Sword is multi-colored, shiny, and pretty, and is the equivalent of the Biggoron Sword from OoT.

On the other, I love the prospect of splitting into multiple people and have always had fun with the Four Sword games, especially FS with my cousin. Plus the fact that the four Links are bright colors which also makes them pretty.

Also, the double-helix Sword from MM's Fierce Deity should of been among the main swords on this poll

I think the Golden Sword was a great idea for A Link to the Past, and I wish they would return it in a future 3-D Zelda game.

Second would have to be the White Sword from The Minish Cap when it's combined with three elements (basically, when the handle is blue). Again, I just love the design. xD I think it was a very neat way to save up for when Link receives the Four Sword. Much better than having the starter sword throughout the game.

Third, of course, is the Master Sword. Who can't agree that this is just an icon in the Zelda series?

I dunno, something about golden items just scream "heroic!" and I definitely think it was fitting to defeat Ganon with a golden sword and a silver arrow.

For some reason I always liked the Master Sword. Maybe it's because it's Link's traditional weapon, but I think it's cause it's got so much unlocked potential for versatility. I'm not sure if other ideas about different weapons were running around for the new Zelda game, but if they viewed the Master Sword as the top-notch sword that it is, then it has soooooooooo much potential to be a true MASTER Sword.

The Biggorons sword, hands down. Double damage at the cost of a sheild. Well...I hardly ever use my sheild when I'm playing OoT for the sinple fact that I never remember to hold Z & R at the same time. The trading sequence for it was also pretty cool.

at first i would never try sidequests but they turned out to be VERY usefull. for example, in MM i skipped anything i didnt need like bottles (i had 1). then i got to the pirates fortress i was like nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. to make things worse i forgot the path to the place with the eggs and eels. :(

Definitely the Master Sword! My second favorites would be the tempered sword and then golden sword. They were still the Master Sword, of course, but they were orange and yellow and pretty looking.
