Ok, we all know spiderman 3 was awesome, but what are your thoughts on a fourth one? If you ask me, that would be overkill. I mean, the 3rd one ending with Harry dying, MJ saying she doesn't want love, then immedietly changes her mind after seeing Peter in the end. So post your thoughts on a fourth one here.

I donīt like Spiderman (or other heroes like him). Guess Iīve become too old and too boring
But I still love zeldas and in fact I will play some OoT (Water Temple) right after Iīve finished writing this post!
(I donīt like that many "action"oriented movies, Iīm the drama man)

I personally don't like super hero movies that much. I saw spiderman 1 and spiderman 2, but they didn't leave a 'woooow, I have to watch all the coming movies now' feeling. And like El Bagu, I still love zeldas and I will also be playing OoT later this day (spirit temple to be exact :P)

I wouldn't mind it if they start to remember that the movie is called "Spider-Man" and not "Peter Parker". I know a lot of the concept of Spider-Man is dealing with the fact he has every day problems, but when I only have 2 to 2.5 hours of movie time with him, then I want to see more about him slinging webs and busting heads than taking his mask off whenever he gets the chance and crying a lot.
As for what they should do, I really think they could have a lot of fun with Mysterio. It would be effects heavy, but it could be a real eye-candy piece that would be a bit more interesting than fights in New York. Alternate realities and the like could happen all thanks to his effects wizardy. Get Bruce Campbell to play him (not that I'm one of those die-hard Campbell fans, but really, he's perfect for it) and I'd love it!

I like the spiderman films. Though not so much anymore. I have always been, and probably always will be a Marvel junkie. I was about.. Well I believe I was about 11 when the film came out, and I was so so so SOOOOOOO excited. I also thought the film was really well done, and Toby Maguire was made to be Peter Parker. However, I never really liked number 2, and number three was not as good as the first either. Not only this, but when I watch the films through now, it just seems far more childish then I remember it, and more chilidish even then some of the other Marvel films (Irom man For The Win :P.)
I think I'd enjoy a fourth film though. It'd be bound to do well too, with the box office I mean. B24, I think Mysterio would be cool, but there are badies that'd be cooler. I think they should bring in Kingpin and his workforce/team of Super Villains. Imagine how cool it'd be to have Rhino or Scorpion running round destroying the city. So far, I have to say they have used the most boring of villains, save for Sandman of course. He's always awesome.
Something else I would love to see, would be one of the things they used to do in the comics. A sort of Hulk VS Spiderman thing. I don't think they would put this in a Spiderman film though, as unsurprisingly, Hulk ALWAYS wins. They've had Hulk references before though, in the first film, Green Goblin bombs the 'Hulk Buster' outfit as they are the Military outfit given the funding as oppose to 'OSCORP.'
Spiderman was always one of the worst Marvel characters though IMO, and I am personally eagerly awaiting the extremely hinted to 'Avengers' movie.

The fact that most of the actors will not return in the fourth installment already screams "fail", and the third one was bland, in my opinion anyway. Personally though, I'd like seeing Carnage and Lizard as the villains, three villains like the last one was overkill.

Tobey Maguire (Spidey) and Kirsten Dunst (MJ) have reportedly signed on already, and JK Simmons (J Jonah Jameson) is rumoured to be returning as well. He's stated that he'd like to return, and I frankly think he's great at what he does, so he'd be welcome to come back.

Last I heard, Kirsten Dunst said she was done with the series, and Tobey was undecided. If that is true, then that's good.

Whoa. They actually are making a Spiderman 4? I thought this was just a thread about whether or not it'd be a good idea lol.
Since my last post, there is one thing I have remembered that I REALLY hate about the spiderman films. That is storyline accuracy. A perfect example of this is in number 3, where Harry Osbourne is the 'Hob Goblin.' In the comics, there was a lot of speculation that HO was the Hob Goblin, however it was misproved, when in one episode HO and the HG are both seen in the same room and the HG actually saves HO's life for some reason.
If they make a new film, I really hope they stick to the comics.

I, too, would rather see them stick to the comics, but that's never the case. Hollywood screws everything up. Personally, I hated the Spiderman 3 movie.... it was soooo... cheezy, my god. It was embarassing watching him try to be all badass. Ugh. I hope they'll keep the cheeze down in the next one. Seriously, I could've dipped my nachos in the screen.

I watched them all in one weekend for my first viewings. The first one was undoubtedly the best. The idea of a 4th movie just sounds like they are trying to milk the series for all it's worth. I doubt they would put much effort into the plot. It has a lot of potential though.
Spiderman WAS good. The first one was great, and definitely the best. Then as usual, they got worse and worse, and this one is probably going to be pretty bad too.

Since they had Peter's professor in all three of the previous movies (I forget his name), I would expect for the Lizard to be the main villain next. Along with him, I dunno, Mysterio or Vulture would be nice.
As for my opinion of the three movies, they were good. Not excellent, but no super hero movie is ever excellent. Dark Knight was an explosion fest, Iron Man had some kind of way out there uninteresting plot, and Hulk was too bad for words. Expectations are always low for me when it comes to these type of movies.

I'm a big Spider-Man fan, and I loved the first two movies.
Spider-Man 3 was ok, but it could have been better.
I hope that they can make Spider-Man 4 as good as the first two.
But it will be hard for a super hero movie to top "The Dark Knight".

Well one of my friend's friend's dad is like working there and I know there WILL be a Spiderman 4. I heard that there could be another symbiote thing like what created Venom. I would love to see this movie. Does anyone know when it will come out?
