Spirit Tracks Release Date - December 7th

It appears to be official, the Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks (http://www.zeldadungeon.net/forum/../Zelda13-spirit-tracks.php) is scheduled to release on December 7th, 2009, in North America.

In addition to the announcement of the release date, the official box art for the title has been released and a thumbnail can be seen just to your right. There was also a brand new logo released. Both can be seen at the Spirit Tracks Gallery (http://www.zeldadungeon.net/forum/../gallery/index.php?cat=81).

Well, that certainly is nice, knowing the release date. It's just about when I expected it, so that's not much of a surprise. The boxart looks pretty good though. Can't wait for it to come out.

Oh, and is the December 7th date worldwide, or just for North America?

I know that annoyed me too. But the thing I find really odd it they didn't release the Japan release date either, you'd think that would've come first.

I wouldn't worry though. There has never been much of a gap between the NA and EUR release dates. If I remember rightly PH came out here about two weeks after it came out in America.

Yeah same here. We always have to wait and the same for you Shelly. I thought Australian have to wait longer than Europe. Don't know why but i heard the last time that they were against the difference in the release dates. It's very logic for us... Europe needs the stupid Frence, Deutsch, Italy, Spain etc. League. I hope it's only 1 or 2 weeks. They said they will release it in Europe before Christmas, i don't think we have to wait longer with this game.

The release date from Super Smash Bros Brawl was a bigger disappointment with a 4 months wait time. -.-

Anyway, i can't wait for this one. ^^ The boxart is really nice, and i like to see a Phantom return. (And control it trough the Dungeons.)
I hope the train will be much better than i can imagine.

Nintendo made the statement in a press release yesterday that it is officially the 7th. Gamestop's date is an old one. Usually the first of a month for retail release predictions just means it's a tentative date and they don't know the exact day. It mainly stemmed from computer systems that can't understand not having a date number in a DD / MM / YY format, so 01 is entered.

Wow, it really is coming out this year. The only thing stopping them now is a freak accident at the programming place. I wonder what Japan and Europe's release dates are. The box art looks interesting, and the logo makes it loose some of that Zelda feel that we all know and love. I still like the steam train idea, but I'm starting to think that Zelda (at least from WW-PH) is modernizing! Then again, steam devices don't have to be modern...

By the way, now I can add this to my Christmas wishlist, seeing as to how it is released after Black Friday and before Christmas Eve (The cramming day for those unfortunate enough to shop on the day before due to procrastination, of which I am a fan of (Procrastination for the win!).).

I'm definitley gonna get spirit tracks for christmas. I'm gonna also read a review of the game once it's in stores just to make sure it's good. All zelda games except AoL are good, so it probably will be a good game.

Wait, would this game run on a regular ds or is it a different game card? Because I really don't wanna have to buy another ds especially since this is my second one, cause my first one broke.

Spirit Tracks will run perfectly fine on the regular DS, but if you have the DSi you can apparently get "special things" if you play it on there. Not sure what that could be though.

I am still unsure whether to be happy, or disappointed. I love Zelda, but I am unsure about the train. However I will most likely get it just to try it, I have the money, why not get it... For all I know I might actually like it. So I will be getting Spirit Tracks the day that it releases!

Looks like it was pretty close to the estimates, so I'm happy. It'll make a very nice Christimas gift this year, and I think the box art looks quite nice. Now if only they would release some actual content and a bit more information to get me truly excited.....

Yay St has a release date! That'll be something I can hope for in what will be the coldest winter I've ever experienced (it was so cold today that I had to wear my winter coat. And I'm going to like all the snow as long as it happens exclusively in december. There hasn't been a true white christmas for me in years.). I gotta put it on my list for christmas.
