I have played Four Swords Adventure many times and my favorite parts of the game are how almost all the bosses are different bosses from Windwaker and many of the characters such as the Great Fairy are how they look in Windwaker. I also liked how the map was the same as A link to the past and the areas you went to looked like in A link to the past. But I disliked how to play more then two people every one had to have a Game boy connected. And how many of the areas there were no real hints or anything to help you threw the levels.
I also hated how you couldn't freely roam you had to go level by level.

Being a spin-off, I actually enjoyed it. Yeah, it was annoying when you couldn't just free roam, but overall still a fun and addicting game. It was aggravating when you didn't know where to go, and no hints to tell you. You can't save in the middle of a level, so a lot of the time I would just quit.

I thought it was good I wish it was like link to the past and not level by level though!
well i
like:
the arsenal (specially the hammers and the swords) the dungeons and levels
i didn't like:
the you have to get GBA's to play multyplayer that is what i did hate of all
PS: if nintendo will make another multiplayer game i would appreciate them to use the formal controlls to play it 'multiplayer' they whant us to waste money in GBAs, GBA cables and all that stuff, really why they did choose to use the GBAs instead of the GC controllers, why?

Well, what I liked about the game was the fact that you could control four separate Links. It was different concept of playing compared to other Zeldas. I also liked the sounds that each of the individual Links made. They were so cute! :xd: /end girlish behavior.
What I didn't like about the game was the fact that if you wanted to play multiplayer on it, each person had to have a GBA to do it. I don't want to have to go out and get four GBAs just to play multiplayer on FSA. It just isn't worth it. :(

The Good - I liked the quick level style gameplay. Now, I wouldn't want this for every Zelda title, but I'm a very busy person and sometimes can't affort 3 hours of gameplay time to really get into a major Zelda title. FSA allowed me to play a Zelda game in little affordable chunks of free time. I was able to save at a major break in the game and not feel that I was interrupting the story.
The Bad - The Blue Maiden Village. I don't know why but I just couldn't quickly and easily solve that place. Combined with the very repetative music, I got frustrated quickly. The whole Moon Pearl and the alternate dimension was a throwback to the Light / Dark World of ALttP I'm sure, but it was awkwardly done in comparison.
I was also not fond of the mini-boss battle music. It was clumsy and goofy. It really didn't fit the rest of the music of the game considering how good those ALttP remixes were. (Which I suppose I can add to the good as well!)

While on the subject, here's a fun fact. Okay, so it's not a fun fact, more like a fun image comparison and you can conclude the fact =)

OMG
I enjoyed FSA. I enjoyed it more playing it with friends, but it was still a fairly enjoyable single player game as well. The remixes were good and the game-play was alright. You can tell from playing both games that it was truly intended for > one person to play (If you couldn't conclude that from the title anyway).

I liked FSA a lot eventhough I could only play the single player. I had to get used to controlling 4 links at the same time, but it was really fun to think out all of the puzzles by using the 4 links seperatly. And since FSA was the first 2D-ish zelda game I played *hides in shame*, it made me want to try other 2D zelda games instead of sort of 'hating' them.

Dabombster has a point. The maps look similar in comparison. The Desert, etc. The game also has several alttp remixes, one of them being the Dark World theme.

I like: The puzzles (some really tough ones! :S), the bosses and mini-bosses, being able to control 4 Links that each have a different voice! I liked the ideas of having levels. I liked the Dark World too and the whole concept about the Force Gems.
I dislike: Not being able to freely roam where we want. The lack of story. The game was a little too easy. And that we need to have GBAs to play with other people.

Really the story never started until the dekus started talking about Ganon and in the desert where you find out Ganondorf went to get the trident of Power which probably turned him into Ganon as seen in the end.

Being a spin-off.
FSA is NOT a spin-off, is a main game in the series, and imo, one of the most important.
I really liked the game, and it made me think in other was that I never did in Zelda.
I think that it was more puzzle like overall

Four Swords Adventure is actually my favourite in the series. It looked beautiful and I was glad they used TWWesque graphics for it.

I am still stuck on that level... :(
But I really enjoy the game and its pretty fun. It is kinda retarded that you need 4 GBA's to play multiplayer...
Maybe if i beat that damn level I can actually say something :P

I think that the best thing about this game was the graphics. They were probably the best 2D graphics I've seen in most games, they simply blew me away. Other than that, just mainly the fun it is to be controlling more than one Link, and the twists that that feature has on some of the puzzles in the game. Also, because you had four Links to control, and four more sword to swing, there were points where you had to fight literally hundreds of enemies at once, and it was awesome to plow through them. I also enjoyed the multiplayer in this game. It's not often that Zelda has multiplayer, and I believe it has only been a part of FS, FSA, and PH. I never really often played the main story of FSA with multiple players, but I've spent hours fighting against my brother in multiplayer. It's a lot of fun, I think, and I remember it being rather addicting.
As for dislike, there weren't really a bunch of little things that annoyed me, but overall I disliked that the game seemed, too, say, repetitive. A lot of the puzzles were the same, and the different levels didn't have too much variation, and they all had the same goal, get to the end with 2,000 rupees. Also, I found the final boss fight irritating. It wasn't hard or anything, but it took forever! Too much of doing the same thing over and over again until the fight was finally to the part with Zelda, and the balls of light, and eventually the end of the fight. I'd rather be disappointed when a fight ends because it was fun, and didn't like that I wasn't fighting anymore, than being glad when it was over because I didn't have much fun and wanted it to be over.
Overall, there was more good than bad about this game. But there's something about every Zelda game that irritates me, and I think that this game wasn't as good as most other Zelda games.

Most of all, I liked how it was different from the other Zelda games that have come out lately. Most of them seem to copy OOT to the point that I feel like I'm just replaying OOT with new levels, updated graphics, and a new story. There was a little bit of ALttP and WW nostalgia there. I also liked trying to control 4 Links, I felt sort of like I was leading a small army or something with all the formations. I even liked the linear level structure. It kept me from getting too lost or confused about my next objective (one of the things I dislike about Zelda games at times), and felt sort of like Super Mario World.
What I didn't like was how I'd lose all my heart containers and items at the end of each level, and could only carry one item at a time. I would have preferred a persistent inventory. I also think the game was too easy with all those Force Fairies, and would have liked to see things ramp up in difficulty more like they do in other Zelda games. I don't know about the GBA thing, because I've only played it in 1P mode.
None of the things I dislike bother me too much, though... I appreciate the game overall, despite the flaws.

I liked that FSA made many references to other games and showed good connections to those games, such as OoT, LoZ, and especially ALttP. As a timeline theorist, I found a lot of good information in the game that helped me to expand on my knowledge and back up my arguments. I also like how Nintendo went back and made an old school style Zelda, but still had some new cell-shaded graphics. I think if they done that, but made a game more like OoT in that style, that it would be great. I didn't mind the game being separated into levels as much as I thought I would. It was actually okay. The formations you make out of the four Link's were a but confusing at first, but eventually it got very easy and very useful to be able to line up in different orders to attack enemies.
What I didn't like is not being able to collect items. This really isn't a problem because the game is set up to where you can hold any item in the game throughout the various levels (once you find the item). But I guess I'm so used to the formula of acquiring and keeping a weapon that it kinda threw me off. Another thing that I didn't like is how the different stages reset each time you complete or leave them. In one of the dungeons, I had a Big Key, but jumped off a ledge that I couldn't get back on, and ended up having to beat the level, only to find that if I went back, I would have to play it all the way over again to get that key. The only thing in the box was 1000 Force Gems, so it wasn't necessary anyway, but it still got on my nerves. There's also a severe lack of replay value to the game IMO. All you really do in each area is collect Force Gems. I wanted to explore and find other things, because there are secret caves and such that you can find in each area, but its really useless if you already have enough Force Gems to power up the Four Sword. This became a problem when you got a whole bunch of Force Gems early in the level because it left for no reason to explore anywhere else.
I too like the game even though it has a few problems. I only wish that it was a bit longer, and maybe had some collectibles that would actually save to your inventory, rather than having to basically gather your whole stock each time you entered a level. It was basically like starting the game over with each level, as you carried over no special abilities or weapons, just the fact that you had freed the maiden from the last temple. All in all though, it was a fun game and I had a better time with it than I originally expected.

I liked just about everything of FSA that was gameplay related. FSA is one of those underrated games that will never gets its credit cause of how the game is.
The plot was a tiny but stupid when it came to Ganon being involved with the trident. But besides that perfection

Mine was pretty much the opposite going into the game. If it hadn't of involved Ganon and had the game centered around him, I doubt I would have even played it. But, that's the theorist in my, wanting to get that info. For me, Ganon's presence was the main selling point. I was just happy they added more than my expectations by showing people like the Gorons and Gerudo.

What i liked was the overall atmosphere of the game, and the storyline really pulls you in as it progresses. Sure, the beginning of the game was pretty weak,
and i didn't feel that rushed by the time i got to hyrule castle. but once you got as far as The blue maiden's hometown, you actually felt the need to push on.
What i didn't like were the dungeons. they sucked. do i really need to explain?

Hmm I'm not sure. It was like three games mixed. A Link to the Past, Minish Cap, the Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. The only reason it would be TP would be because the story involved a dark mirror like the one in TP. It had the same sort of feel to alttp with same maidens and items and places (kind of) and enemies and etc. Then it had the same Link sprite from MC and the graphics were almost the same, but they added 3d stuff in it and that's where WW comes in. They used some of the same bosses from WW like Jal-Halla.It was a great game except with the repeated stuff over and over again from different games.

I thought the game was pretty good I enjoyed playing with my brother,we would mess around in that game.I don't think it was spin-off Zelda game I think it had a pretty good story and should be with all the other Zelda games. The only thing I disliked about that game was controlling all four Links if you are playing by yourself,I had to get use to that because I mostly played with my brother than playing by myself.

I loved the storyline of the game and the envroment. The story was true adventure all over, without anything to bar you down. Then there was the enviroment which looked beautiful, it really showed me what a 2d game can do in present day. I only wish they could remake Alttp to look that beautiful.
The things I dislike are the multiplayer aspects and the linear storyline. I loved the idea of multiplayer, but I didn't want to have my GBA as the controller. It may have made sense but it was so aggravating and costly to use. The linear storyline was nice but sometimes I wished I could brewak free and just explore the world.
There was something here that I liked and disliked. It was the major story changes and how Nintendo barely changed anything. Now would you believe that this game was to be the story around the seal war? Nintendo then decided to take that out, but they were so knee deep in production they could only make such little changes. Since I like the story I already I like this, but since Nintendo was lazy and robbed fans of an easy timeline I also dislike it.
Well there's my two cents - Wrath.
