If Spirit Tracks gave you the option of wearing either the Conductor Link outfit or the standard green Hero's tunic, which would you wear? This would be assuming that neither gave you any more advantage than the other, and it would be only a change in appearnce.
Personally, I would probably deliberately change the tunic to the Conductor's outfit while riding the train, and would change back to the Hero's tunic for adventuring off the rails. I know it wouldn't be necessary, but it would be a fun little RPG type idea that would give each type of gameplay that little extra flare.

I'd probably wear the conductor's outfit. Link wears his green tunic in every other game. I find myself wearing the zora armor in TP or farore's charm in MC just to add some variety to link's outfit. IDK, i just like wearing any other options available

I'm not really sure. If I were to think about it and answer, I'd say that I would wear the Conductors outfit. My reason being, I love when the series shifts. When something different happens. At the moment I am loving AoL because the side-scrolling makes it so unique and every aspect of it is different to every other Zelda. I also loved Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland so much because I saw it as a Zelda, but completely different, in every way, not even Link involved. Also, I think it would be mildly comical to have a little conductor running around the place, and personally I think Link makes a very cute little conductor.
However, I'm sure the cute factor would wear off fairly quickly. Also, I had the option to change Link's clothes in TP, but I never did. I think subconsciously I am very attached to that little blue tunic of Links. I actually hate it when in games such as LoZ I get an upgraded tunic and it changes the colour to red or white. However, I get them anyway because without them there's no way I could complete the game without it.
I think that I will change between tunics. At first I'll probably think 'cool new outift.' Then I will have got bored of it within about an hour and I'll settle back in with the cosy and safe ol' green tunic. Truth be told, I love that tunic. I hate Links trendy PJ's in WW and I hate the ranch-hand costume in TP cause I hate never having the option of wearing the lovely old familiar green tunic.

I don't mind seeing Link wearing the Conductor's Outfit, He looks quite smart actually, But I don't want to see him wearing it during any form of Temple, I would only like to see him wearing it on his train or while travelling around Hyrule on foot.
I only want to see Link wearing his traditional Green Tunic in dungeons, I find that Cel-Shaded Zelda's aren't serious enough already, It wouldn't help trying to make it funny or silly by doing that.
I do think if they sort out where you can where the Conductor's Suit that it will make the game better, I prefer a serious Zelda game, not a slightly funny one, Infact, I'd find it more annoying.

My answer is simple while I am exploring a dungeon or mini-dungeon or doing a sidequest or a required part of the game i wear the classic green tunic and while i am driving the train then id have the conductor outfit on it really depends on the situation and which outfit fits the situation better.

Ha, sorry I worded that badly. I meant the ranch hand outfit Link wears in the beginning of the game. I was thinking about the thing he has on his arm for an eagle to land on which is why I referred to it as a bird costume lol. Thank you for pointing that out.

I think I'd like to see Link in his classic green tunic. Sure, the Conductor's Outfit is okay, but I'd rather Link's green tunic. It looks good on him and wearing the conductor's outfit while fighting monsters and stuff would be awkward.
I wouldn't mind if you only had to wear the Conductor's outfit near the start of the game, like Link's ranch clothing in Twilight Princess, or on the trains. It'd just seem odd while fighting monsters and exploring the land wearing a conductor's outfit. I think it'd be strange, that's all.
So it's the Green Tunic for me. =)

Also Green Tunic. I don't really like the conductor's outfit. Like most said here it's weird to wear a conductor tunic in the middle of a Dungeon.
Maybe only i should wear it in the train, that's the only place that fits the tunic. xD Maybe wear it in Dungeon's just for fun, if i play it a second time or so. In the beginning i will wear the normal Hero Tunic.

I am pretty sure they will have you switch between the two. If not, there is no doubt in my mind that I would rather have the good ol' tunic and cap.

A conductor suit? really, is that what Nintendo was thinking? I myself COMPLETELY disagree with this and am with the green tunic always. No questions asked.

If it's an option, I'll choose to wear the conductor's uniform when possible. Why? Because it's a little something different. More than likely, though, it'll end up being like TP where you start out in one outfit and obtain the tunic later. I do like the conductor's uniform, though... it's pretty neat.

I think the tunic is better...One,you can't beat the classics. Two,a train conductor in a dugeon really...XD

Honestly in Zelda games where Link has starter clothing (Examples: Ordon Link, Pajama Link, and Conducter Link if it IS a starting outfit) I wish you could unequip the Green Tunic just for fun or for preference, but personally I of course would use the green tunic, and if Nintendo put in a blue one, that one of course.

I'd switch around, I like the green tunic, and the conductors clothes look nice too, so I'd probably use them equally.

I want to be able to switch between the two costumes.
If someday I want to be "Link the Hero of Train", then I'd take the conductor's costume.
But for the remaining of the game, I'll keep the green one xP

I would probably switch back and forth. Both depending on the situation and just when I wanted a change.
I always swapped tunics in OoT, so I don't see how this would be much different. I sort of like the idea of having another outfit.
But I doubt we'll be able to switch. If anything, it'll probably be like the Pajamas in Wind Waker or the Ordon Clothes in Twilight Princess; we'll switch out of them after an early portion of the game.

I also think he should switch back and forth. When Link is on the train, he would wear his conductor's outfit and in the main adventure, he would wear his traditionnal Green Tunic.

I would much rather play in the tunic, but I think that they will add in that after quest mode. You know the one in WW that lets you keep the starting clothes if you beat the game. It will most likely be like that, maybe.

I prefer the green tunic, but the conductor outfit just suits him in Spirit Tracks, in fart I wouldn't even have mined Link being in a sailor suit for Phantom Hourglass (though it'd probably give me nightmares).

I guess you would kind of need both clothes since he is going to be a conductor, but my personal favorite is the green tunic.

If given the choice, I'd easily choose the Green Tunic. It's classic, and suits Link so well. However, I think I'd wear the Conductor's Clothes whenever riding the train. It's a train, and he has the clothes available to him, so why not? I'd hate the outfit to have to go to waste!

I would truly like to see both in the game... It would be sweet if you start with the Green Tunic, and then he gets the train and when he is in the train and driving he has that tunic, and when he is fighting he gets the fun old green tunic. I am not a person for change in Zelda, but if they let you choose the tunic to wear, I would not really care. Or if they do what I said.

I guess I would have to say conductor's clothing. It is unique and I know the "Hero's Tunic" is the main point of the legend
"And then the hero in green would come and save us"
I would play as conductor Link because it's fun in a....weird way.....

I would definitely sport the Conductor outfit. In all honesty, it would be nice if I could wear the original village outfit on TP throughout the game if I chose to. I wish they would take the changeable outfit feature from TP and expand on it a little more...

I'm really not sure. Minor things like this in Zelda game don't tend to particularly bother me or anything of the sort. But, judging by the look of the two outfits, I'm probably going to end up wearing the Tunic most of the time. Out of the various alternate outfits that Link has been given, I've tended to like the Tunic better. But something like this is the least of my worries, like, for example, if I have the conductor suit on, I'm not going to switch the Tunic because I like it better. I'm not that picky about minor things in Zelda games, I'm more bothered by a few macro things than a bunch of micro things.

You took the words right out of my mouth, basement. If they gave that option in the game, what you said would be exactly what I'd do. :) I may find it a bit tiring every once in a while, but like you said, I'd probably find myself switching back and forth on purpose everytime I got off/on the train. :xd:

Sailor Suit Link... Steve you just killed my brain. ahhhhhhh bad mental image.
As for the topic, I'm with the crowd on this one- I'd swap between them depending on the situation. Or not, just because it's funny to see a train conductor save the world. I probably would end up wearing the conductor outfit more actually... I adore that little red hat... but as said it's probably like the Ordon Clothes, or the Pyjamas. :c
I like the look of the Conductor's outfit. It makes Link look intelligent, as from a distance, it looks like a suit.
I wouldnt wear it while i'm travelling around inside a dungeon though, in that case, I would switch to the traditional Green Tunic.
The Green Tunic, for me anyway, would be perfectly suited to dungeons.
As it is classic, and really fits in with the Medieval theme of the games.
So, in a final statement, I voted that I like them both equally.
Each is suited to different situations. And they don't have any advantages or disadvantages.

I voted for the conductors tunic. This is only exclusive to ST, and I think it would fit in playing in it. But I think that you wont play in it, but would be cool if you did.
If there was a second quest in this game, I wonder if you could play in the tunic through the whole game like Link did in WW with his pajamas? I think that would be very cool, and awesome that there would be a second quest.
