View Full Version : Twilight Princess Who Was Your Favourite Boss?

Who was your favourite Twilight Princess Boss, I am not talking about Zant and Ganon/Ganondorf here either. Just the Temple's you go into before you go into the Twilight Realm.
Twilit Parasite Diababa: I didn't really that like much about Diababa, It is my least favourite boss in the whole game and ranks as of one of the worst out of all the games I have played. The design of the whole battle was rather good but it wasn't to my liking. I didn't like the over all battle, Diababa had a very small offensive attack total and they were all easy to dodge. I may be being a bit to harsh on the first boss of the game but I still don't like it. It was a unique boss though in terms of its looks though in my opinion.
Twilit Inferno Fyrus: Fyrus was one of my more liked bosses in TP, Many other bosses from other games beat it though because of the following. I liked the design of the battle battle was good, It was just Fyrus, Much like Diababa, had very few attacks to go on the offensive with. Even if it did it was too easy to stop him before he could unleash them. I could always hit him in the forehead with an arrow before he could do anything to harm me. This took out a lot of fun for this battle, I was expecting to see something along the lines of slightly hard. Again, Maybe a bit harsh for an early on boss.
Twilit Aquatic Morpheel: Morpheel was my second favourite battle in this game, I also prefer it to a lot of other bosses from other games. In my opinion Morpheel looked very good. Morpheel was also quite hard compared to the other bosses before it, It was a decent step up in difficulty although it was still overall quite easy. I did lose hearts against Morpheel though, Unlike Fyrus. The battle was fun and the start when Morpheel was partially buried into the ground did lose me a few heart. It does get a fair bit easier from then on but I liked the second part of the fight. Morpheel is definately one of the better bosses in TP.
Twilit Fossil Stallord: Ahhh, Stallord, One of the best Zelda bosses I have ever fought. I loved this boss battle, The use of the Spinner was very good throughout the whole battle. This battle was also hard and Stallord had a decent amount of attacks. The battle is one of the longest battles in TP (only losing out to Zant and Ganondorf) and it was the hardest of the first 7 temples. The whole feel of the battle was epic, I loved the fact that this boss was powered by a Sword Zant slammed into his head. Stallord was just all over Epic in terms of TP, He is one of my all time favourite Zelda bosses.
Twilit Arachnid Armoghoma: This boss, Although had a well thought out idea was simply the worst of the bosses, Ghoma from OoT was harder by a decent amount in my opinion. Armoghoma was a joke of a boss for this late on in the game, I admit it was kinda funny when Link drops his jaw when the Eye was crawling around but thats it. I didn't like it other than that, Its moves were bad and it was so easy to kill. I expected much more from a boss this late on, It was even worse with the fact that over the last 3 bosses there hard been considerable jumps in hardness, I expected something hard and fun, This was no way near either of those.
Twilit Dragon Argorok: Argorok was a fairly hard boss but was still overall average in TP. I didn't really like the boss fight, Yet again (seeing as I skipped Armoghoma out seeing as he was an EPIC FAIL of a boss) I was expecting a boss where the battle changed halfway through, Not the same old strategy over and over, I suppose it did catch me off guard though when he turned the other way and started breathing fire, That did lose me a few heart but it wasn't a big enough change. Argorok was fun though, I liked the overall design of the battle (I just wanted a change mid-way through). I still like this boss, He was quite hard and I enjoyed the fight.
Post you opinion and why....

i agree conpletely with startimer. one the spinner was fun to use against a fossil. and two he was summoned up by zant nothing can beat that(im just saying that because of him being a major boss pesonaly summoning a boss)

This was really though...
I really loved three of the Bosses there:
Stallord, Blizzeta and Argorok.
My vote went to Argorok

I loved the Boss battle against Stallord! The integration of the spinner in the boss fight really helped add to the overall action of the fight! The fact that it was summoned personally be Zant added to the overall storyline!

I voted for Argorok and itīs one of my top 2, the other one being Stallord. The two fights were very different yet somewhat similar. Intense at moments and fought on "vast arenas". Iīve always loved dragons so thatīs the ultimate reason my "top" choice was (and is) Argorok!

Blizzeta was definitely the best boss we've had since those creative MM boss battles. The Blizzeta battle was very unique. None of your weapons are effective except the awesome Ball and Chain, and the music ranks as one of my favorite themes in the entire Zelda series. Her face also made me jump the first time through, something that hasn't happened since I saw the half mummified guy in MM.
Stallord was pretty cool too, mainly because of the reason Blizzeta was so fun: Creativity. TP nailed creativity perfectly when it came to the new items, and the way the Spinner was used against Stallord was great. I'll never forget cruising up that pillar, jumping from side to side dodging all his attacks. Very memorable.
Argorok. He's the only one that actually ever me a challenge, even if it was only trying to move around the plants quick enough to avoid his fire. It was a really cool battle though, lighting in the sky and dark clouds, climbing up the posts, trying to move around the plants as fast as you can, then grab onto his back and slash as much as you can before he slams in the ground. I love it.

Stallord, for the unique boss design, and the use of the Spinner. I liked how this battle was so fast paced. Argorok comes in a close second, for it's very well done "epic" mood.

Though it isn't original, I do agree that Stallord was the most fun. Playing pinball was great when you're the ball. Had a lot of fun, I wish it was like Majora's mask though, where you could play the boss as many times as we want.. I'd totally play it multiple times. =[

My favorite Boss, or in my case, favorite bosses in TP are Blizzeta and Armoghoma.
Blizzeta is one of my favorites because of the way that you had to fight her. Although personally I hate ice places when it comes to video games, I found that the ice in this battle to be great since it added to the slight difficulty of that battle. Another thing I liked when you fought her was the music that played. It fit well with that battle.
The reason why I liked Armoghoma was, well, the fact that after you beat him the first time, you think he's dead, but in actuality, he isn't. I loved the look on Link's face when that happened. :xd: Priceless! I also liked that you had to "squish" him with the statues when you knocked him off of the ceiling. I sometimes squished myself on occasion.

This is a bit of a hard choice for me...
On one hand, Stallord was just such a "me" boss. A friend of mine who'd played TP before I discovered it told me that "Stallord reminded me of you." This is because I have this *huge* thing for bones and skeletal creatures. I love just about anything bone, so to me, Stallord just *looked really cool* as in, something that I would create as part of my original art or as a character in my writing.
However, I chose the Dragon Argorock battle. Why? Because, on my second playthrough, it was the battle I most looked forward to. Throughout the entire game, I was *waiting* to get to that battle. The flying through the air on the floating plants, waiting for a shot at his back was just neat-looking and exhilarating. I wouldn't call this boss particularly *hard,* but just making Link swing through the air like a daring trapeeze artist was so much fun for me.

Argorok was by far my favorite. Right before the battle, I was complaining about how Zelda never had an epic dragon as a boss, which made me mad. I really liked the City in the Sky dungeon, and Argorok was just a perfect ending to it.
It was a difficult battle, but it was satisfying. Climbing the huge pillars with the double hookshot while seeing Argorok fly over you really built up tension, which I loved. The second part was the best part, the atmosphere was ominous and intimidating, and the entire setting worked well into the big picture.

I liked Fyrus the most, it was pretty easy and fun. It also looked really cool.
Though I liked all the bosses really.
Expect for Mass Blizzeta, that was a really dumb boss.

I think Stallord was my favourite because of the use of the spinner. I didn't mind that there wasn't much to do with it after the Arbiter's Grounds since they made the use of it quite epic. The whole scale and creepiness of the battle with the zombies rising to protect the massive skeletal Stalord was just wild. Following by Stallod's horrid flying severed head? That was unbelieveable!
The speed and fun of riding around the center column in the second hald was just great, and the remix of the classic boss theme from OoT was fantastic. I also loved the introduction to the battle with Zant arriving to wake the skeleton himself. It was just a great moment in the game.
My second choice would have to be Argorok. It was a tense feeling of slowly climbing up to the battle field and once there it was just massive. Granted a lot of it was empty space, but when the sky opens up and you're zipping around on your clawshots it's just great fun! The size of the dragon and de-armouring him was great as well. A close second to Stallord!

1. Argorok. He was my favorite boss. Probably because, not only was he a cool looking dragon, but the location where you fought him was awesome. On top of a city in the sky! So cool. Not to mention the sky turned dark and stormy. That totally made the battle more epic. And I like shooting my hookshot at them peahats. Definately a memorable battle.
2. Stallord. The only reason I liked this battle was because you get to use the spinner. It was fun to 'spin' up that tower when Stallord's head was breathing fire balls at you, then jump from wall to wall. It was a unique battle.
3. Morpheel. It took me FOREVER to clawshot that little clawshot thingy. But once Morpheel came out of the ground I really started to enjoy the battle. I thought I wouldn't like it because the fight took place underwater, but actually, it was quite enjoyable.
4. Blizzeta. Okay, so I didn't like fighting this lady. Mainly, because she wasn't actually mean :( It was the stupid mirror shard. The cut scenes that lead up to the battle was awesome, though. I mean, did you see her face!? It was... scary. Overall though, the battle I thought was quite easy. I only lost a few hearts. Oh, and the cut scene after that when Yeto comes back and hugs Yeta and the hearts come out... ahaha that was the best scene in the game! So cute! =3
5. Diababa. I wouldn't say this battle was hard, but it wasn't a cake walk either. The hardest part was grabbing Ook's bombling while trying to dodge Diababa. It was a pretty neat battle, and harder than what I would expect from a first boss.
5. Tie - Fyrus. Fyrus wasn't very memorable to me, but he was alright. It took me a little bit to figure out how you had to kill him, but once I did I sailed through the battle easily.
7. Armogohma. I agree with Darklink0602... Armogohma was an EPIC FAIL of a boss. It was so easy to beat. I was shocked. The only thing I liked about the battle was bringing the statues to life to kill it.
So yeah. The dragon was my favorite boss. But, all these battles were VERY creative.

i really liked stallord and argorok. they were both really fun bosses, cuz the spinner was really fun to use, and it was quite fun to use the giant pilars to get up in the air, i had a hard time choosing, but i chose argorok:clap:

huh i seem to be the only one who enjoyed morpheel enough to vote him as my favorite boss.
maybe i should explain. this fight wasn't the funnest like stallord or the easiest (fyrus in my opinion) but there was one aspect about this boss that made my jaw drop. the sheer size of this boss made me squirm with excitement. since i hadn't seen anything that big since twinmold from MM.
also the way you attack him in his second stage by clawshooting his eye really got me goin. I mean Link takes the fight right to the bosses face and starts plunging his sword into the twilight aqautics eye repeatedly. usually in zelda games you dont get to hack and slash a boss too much but this was an exception i think being the last boss of a twilight covered area.

Twilit Parasite Diababa:This boss was easy and I know, it's the first boss of the game but not only was it easy, it was boring. I mean, just waiting for the monkey to come around and offer you the bombs weren't such fun. Next time for a boss, make it easy, but fun at the same time!
Twilit Inferno Fyrus: This was a fun boss to play with and a very strategic one too. It was crap how small the room was for a giant goron on fire! :P But I had fun and the atmosphere was great.
Twilit Aquatic Morpheel: To be honest, I didn't like the first phase of this boss as I couldn't attack Morpheel because of its little bombs! It got annoying. Then came the second phase. You would think it was fun but really, all you do is swim and try to grab onto it. I didn't have much fun fighting this boss.
Twilit Fossil Stallord: Finally, a boss that is challenging but fun to play with at the same time! Stallord was the best boss in this game, and also one of the best in the hole series. Such a big 'arena' like place made it enjoyable and riding on the edges then letting go, dodging all the zombies and attacking his spine! But that's not it. You think that he is dead then all of a sudden, you have to chase a skull floating through the air! Great fight!
Twilit Ice Mass Blizzeta: Is it just me or was the fight with Blizzeta a little too... short? I had fun trying to aim at her and all, but it just ended so sudden. Apart from that, I liked the room design and how it turned into a huge ice room. The technique of fighting her was interesting. Not one of the best fights, but not one of the worst!
Twilit Arachnid Armogohma: Second last boss fight! Are you ready for some action? Let's go! You look around the dark room and then you see this eye staring at you! Get out your slingshot... I mean bow and arrow and hit her eye! Then while she is stunned, get your sword out and... wait, use your dominian rod to smash her! Because of her lavae!
Congratulations, you have defeated your first boss of the game, Queen Gohma! Sorry, but this is too easy for a boss this late and too similar to the easiest boss in OoT!
Twilit Dragon Argorok: This was supposed to be an ultimate fight. I admit it. I had some challenges and I had fun, but everything was just squished into one fight. There was too much to do and that ruined the boss fight. Still, I had a legendary time hanging in the air, dodging fire, and trying not to fall off!
So my top three are:
1: Stallord
2: Argorok
3: Blizzetta

My favorite boss in TP is The Stallord. It's fun to ride in a Spinner while attacking it's COOL!!!
The only bosses i found totally dumb are Blizzeta and Armogohma. They're easy to beat, Blizzeta just uses ice pillars, you use the Ball and Chain(How does Link carry that hunk of Junk?!) and on Armogohma it really was funny when the armor came off and a tiny litle one-eyed-butt-bug came out with it's young. I killed it not with the Sword but the Statues. well it died with a KER-SPLAT! It was totally easy, i find the Mini-bosses more challenging than these 2.

I would have to say Argorok or Blizzeta. I thought they were both really fun to fight and they both had cool little themes to them. Blizzeta is a giant mass of ice floating around and doing whatever while you're stuck on this floor of ice in this mansion trying to destroy it with a giant iron ball. Fun enough. :)
Argorok was also very enjoyable to fight with the theme that it had. The wind blowing and the dragon flying around and you having to use the hookshot to do whatever you have to do. Argorok might be a bit better than Blizzeta but for now I'm going to say I liked the them just as well.

Stallord was my absolute favorite boss in Twilight Princess, especially do to the use of the spinner, a shame it was never used outside the temple. I also enjoyed the Dodongo/Volvagia remix as well, which really fit in with the battle, but even Stallord's appearance kept the fight awesome. My favorite part in he battle would have to be the second part, trying to dodge the floating head, that was a lot of fun as well.

Stallord. I don't even care that it's been said eight times. That must have been the most fun boss battle ever, I mean, who doesn't like using the spinner? It was incredibly creative and memorable overall. As for the other bosses.... Argorok was ruined for me, I have an epic rant going on another thread, although I can guess why others have chosen him. Morphell starts off as a Morpha clone but evolves into something a lot more challenging, Diababa and Fyrus were fun but easy, being first boss battles. Blizatta was a bit simplistic, and I felt uncomfortable the whole time because I was worried the Yeto was going to walk in on me flailing his wife (odd choice of words.).....
Armoghoma was without a doubt my least favorite boss. Not because it was easy, but because it was a gigantic spider. And I hate spiders. With a burning friggin passion. I mean, OoT was tasteful with its spider renditions, but this game was just full-on arachnophobic. There were those awful daddy long legs type things in the first dungeon and then I come across a gargantuan tarantula skittering around the ceiling *shudders*.... That last bit was hilarious though.

Stallord was by far the most fun boss battle in Twilight Princess. It was a very effective way of using the Spinner, in my opinion. It also got quite challenging when the obstacles started rising up from the sand. But I especially loved the second phase to him. Having to jump from one side of rails to the other side was brilliant.

Here's my opinion:
Diababa
Diababa was an O.K. boss. My main problem with Diababa is that you had to wait SO DARN LONG for the monkey to show up so you could kill Diababa.
Fyrus
Fyrus wasn't that good of a boss. He was just way too easy.
Morpheel
Morpheel was my least favorite boss in TP. It was even easier than Fyrus and had a grand total of 3 attacks.
Stallord Voted on
Stallord was fun beyond words.
Blizzetta
A pretty fun boss. The style of Blizzetta was pretty good.
Armaghoma
BOO ARMAGHOMA
Argarock Voted on
Pretty good boss. Could have been better though.

someone's probally said this but you forgot to post one about blizzeta and you only put 'twili aquatic' you forgot the morpheel. but aside from that i did like morpheel because it was fun and the collaseum you were in was pretty cool ,but i have a fear of large underwater creatures so that why he's 3rd to me.
i feel stalord's overrated by everyone, because all you do is go back and forth on the spinner trying to hit him and then slice him up. i didnt like where you had to hit the spine because it was kinda boring to me, but the other part was ok. still he reminds me of something out of Danzig do he's my 2nd favorite. and last my number one is argok because i like the vertigo endusing feild and the use of the double clawshots, but he was kinda easy. although i was on edge because i was afraid he'd swallow me up or knock me off, just if he did that and swiched his fire breath more he would have been higher rated by everyone im sure
Link is awesome

I really liked Morpheel mainly because I like water bosses, and that it had some blood(It was purple)and I hated Zant and the ganons
here is my opinon
1.Morpheel: I really liked this battle, it was EPIC, It also was in water and had purple blood talk about coolness!(also the clawshot was cool).
2.Stallord:AWESOME CREEPY SKELETON DUDE THING!
3.Fyrus: I liked that it was on fire.
4.Argorok: I liked this boss because it was a dragon.
5.Blizzeta: I thought the ending where yeto and yeta hugged each other was cute.
6.diababa: This battle sucked, at least better then Armogohma
7.Armogohma:EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!!!

Blizzeta was my favorite for Twilight Princess.
First off, all the bosses were way too easy. This detracted from the experience for me a lot; bosses are suppose to challenge you. Also, I had little to no trouble figuring out how to hurt the lot of them, so there wasn't even a decent puzzle for me.
Narrowing it down, my two favorites would be Stallord and Blizzeta, but Stallord was again way too easy, and way too short. Yes it made use of the creative Spinner (which I love), but it also fell short on maximizing it's potential, and the fight suffered greatly. There just wasn't any depth.
Overall I think Blizzeta was the best combination of unique idea, great atmosphere, and a little challenge. I thought in some ways Snowpeak Ruins was one of the game's better dungeons because it was actually a little hard for me, and while Blizzeta didn't really challenge me, she was harder than most if not all of the other bosses, IMO.

Okay, I decided to vote for Aquatic. It was close between Aquatic and Fyrus, but in the end Aquatic won. It brought both nostalgia and renewal as you got to use the old tactics of fighting morpho, and then preceded to the new tactics of swim fighting. Plus when you do the finishing blow on Aquatic, it looks awesome.

I'm currently playing the game for the first time, and I've beaten the first three bosses so far. So out of those three, I'd say my favorite was Morpheel. It was the most challenging out of the three. I had such a hard time at first locking onto the eye flying around. And the second half of the battle, having to swim toward him and lock onto his back, that was just fun and challenging too. The first boss was kind of weird, with the little monkey dude. The second boss was a bit too easy, he was so slow and just stood there the whole time. I can't say I disliked any of them, but I'm looking forward to seeing more bosses!

I have to say that I hated all the boss battles. They were too easy and I didn't even have to think about how to kill them. They really executed the boss battles terribly in this game. Probably the worst boss battles in Zelda history.

For me it was the Twilit Dragon Argorok!!! :) This boss was sweet just the scene of the boss battle, the boss its self, and the way you reached the highest place in the room and claw shoting on the pee heads the get behind the dragon and start attacking kill!!
So if i had to go with my favorite boss in TP was the Twilit Dragon Argorok!!!

Argarok is amazing. It's extremely cool, and one of the bosses in the Zelda series that really stands out to me, your flying around fighting a dragon in a massive lightning storm, slashing the crap out of his back, bringing him down to the ground, and it's just awesome.

Ghoma has always been my favorite boss. And the boss battle was very creative.

It's actually on the first page, Cucco. It took me not even 2 minutes to find it.
Stallord.
I love the size of him and the style of battle. However, it is a bit annoying that for his size he has low mobility and has to summon things to attack you until it's only his head left.

I think that Fossil Stalord is awesome, but Argorok is my favorite. Link fighting a Dragon just seems natural.

Stallord for sure. What could be more fun than jumping rails and avoiding spikes? PS it's Twilit Igniter Fyrus, not Twilit Inferno Fyrus.

Eh, probably king dodongo, though he was the easiest boss in OoT. Oh, and tip, Cucco Master; get yer' terms right! spinny gear thingy?! flying skull head!? lol=) ( no offense, just saying.)
Oh and Yann, the zombies thathe summons can't hurt you, they just block you from attacking him. And stallord does attack in the first stage. He breathes fire.

well i havent played in a while. i don't own the game but i beat it for my friend. if dodongo was easy for you, then i would say it was boring. people want a challenge when they play zelda. if they didn't they wouldn't feel motivated to beat it. the harder, the better. also a good boss and a fun boss needs unique terrain. if the area is just flat then its not fun. thats why stallord is fun, because there are stages of the boss on different terrain. also, if you get to use multiple items, then it will be even more enjoyable for the player. and when there is more than just the boss that you have to avoid, like falling rocks, it, like i said, contributes to the fun. thats what makes a fun boss
how's my posting??? call 1-800-giv-feedback. CUC-CO-MA-STER makes everything bet-ter!!!...... and he likes kittehs too!
i claim an explanation for all the claiming thats going on so somebody better give it to meh!

I loved Zant. He was challenging. It wasn't easy to figure out what you had to do on the first try. It was a fun battle and I enjoyed going back to a few of my favorite temples to revisit them in a new way.

Stallord, hands down. Not only is it my favorite boss fight in Twilight Princess, but probably of any Zelda game.
Zant was a lot of fun, too, with all his screeching and caterwauling.

Stallord wasn't the hardest, but definitely the most fun :) Particularly the second half, when you had to jump between the walls. It made the Spinner one of my favorite items, though I never used it again. Sadness!

I loved going from wall to wall, I was really sad when the time came to fight him, I couldn't show my boyfriend. Being the nerd I am I really wanted him to watch me defeat Stallord lol.

I thought it was Blizzeta. Blizzeta was so much fun to fight. You just skated on the ice trying to avoid her falling on top of you. Then, you could break her little chamber and just go from there to finish her off.
Stallord was the best boss in TP it was also the most fun to me

Mine was Zant. It was just so fun to fight him in all the different places. My second would have to be Blizzeta. She was just really fun to fight.

my favorite was ganondorf's final form, the very epic, cool, and much anticipated swordfight with the king of evil.

My most favorite one to fight in Twilight Princess. That would be ganon ^.^ at first you ride epona with the princess riding to and the sword fight is fantastic (or fishing rod lol) my second would be The Dragon from the sky world...

I chose Argorok. Not because he was hard, but because he looked cool and was intimidating. The first time I saw him I was like "How is Link supposed to take out a huge dragon 1000 times his size?" I felt accomplished when I beat him, but maybe it's just me.

Well my most fav boss was ganondorf! He was an awsome, as always. But my other bids from LOZ TP is Twili Blizzeta. She was an easy beat, I guess. But it was fav temple n boss. She looked pretty scary when she turn evil!:^[

I love all the bosses, but my vote went to Argorok. I choose him because he took me the longest to defeat. He took me the longest because I was using the Ordon Sword, so I had to stab him over six times. He also looked like a dragon, but was changed so that his look differed from most dragons we would think of today. My all time favorite boss was Gannondorf, because he tested me sword skills the most. He was fun to fight, and the horseback portion of our battle was simple but thrilling, especially because Zelda was helping. Blitzella was annoying because she kept hitting me. Zant was fun, but what was with his dancing!? I love all the bosses though, and hold no grudges against them. May we fight again, large beasts!
