In Ocarina of Time, there is a scarecrow that you can play any tune to, and that will be your scarecrow song.
What do you usually do for this?
Mine is usually
< ^ > V < ^ > V
Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down
What about you?

My Scarecrow Song has always been:
^ < v > ^ < v >
Up, left, down, right, up, left, down, right
played pretty quickly. I could have made it something nicer, but since I was so used to it from the other file that was on my OoT cartridge (it's a pre-owned copy), I kept it.

wow that is so funny cuz mine is simply:
v > ^ < v > ^ <
down, right, up, left, down, right, left, up
the first time i ever played i figured i would make it easy for now and change it later but i never did.... ten years and at least 10 play-throughs later it is still the same.

Mine is very simple,
↑ ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ↓ a a
Not too creative, didn't want to forget it, but it does sound cool.

I actually tried to make mine sound like a nice song. Mine went
A > < ^, A > < ^
And when I would record it for him, I would hold the A in each part a little longer than the rest of the notes. So it made for a pretty neat original tune.

Mine was a goofy sounding song that I thought fit the Scarecrow's personality. It was a simple ^v^v ^v^v. I always played it with that gap in the middle, and it made it a bit of a jaunty tune. I don't know why I played it that specific way. Regardless, it was very easy to remember, which was the original idea.

I tried to put the Bolero of Fire in MM, and I failed.
v A v A > A > A

last time i played it i used v^ ^v v^ ^V. i always do one for its ease to remember and not its sound. and from memory bolero of fire is vAvA>v>v.

My pesonal scarecrow song is down, A, up, up, down, A, up, up.
It is kind of sad, but I know two of friend's scarecrow songs.
Friend #1's: left, down, right, left, up, right, right, down
Friend #2's: up, up, right, right, down, down, left, left

Me it used to be: A, A, A, A, A, A, A, Down
Now in OOT: A, Right, Left, A, Right, Left, Right, A (Goron's Lullaby!)
And in MM: Down, A, Down, A, Right, A, Right, A (Bolero of Fire!)
Pretty nice trick, isn't it? :ocarina::ocarina::ocarina:
For both game's I did the Banjo Kazooie theme, but in D because the ocarina is tuned in D. (Though if you press down the analog stick, it tunes down a full step.)

Mine was ^(up) <(left) >(right) v(down) ^ < > v.
But in MM, my Scarecrow's song was the Bolero of Fire.

On my first playthrough it was just down, A over and over again.
Right now it's something i call Cold Man's Blues: Right, Down, A, Right, Down, A (Pause) Right, Up

Mine is very easy: A^A^A^A^
I don't care much about the Scarecrow song.
<,<,<, down, <, ^, A, >
or left, left, left, down, left, up, A, right
If you play it, you'll realise it's the beginning of the Mario theme. lol.
Maybe to someone who's tone deaf.
The scarecrow's song I use nowadays is the motif from Rachmaninoff's Etude-tableu in C major (except in D of course):
^ > A, ^ > ^ > A
But I think the first one I ever made was, like a previous poster in this thread, A ^ A ^ A ^ A ^.

I always found it kinda annoying with the Scarecrow songs, so I just went with something simple and easy to remember. Mainly cause I started getting really confused by the other songs when I started getting more. I typically did like the thread starter with ^ > v < ^ > v < but by Majora's Mask I learned I could get away with an even simpler < > < > < > < > because that's a lot faster.

The Scarecrow Song was kind of random for the game, but I liked all the secrets it could open up.
My OoT one was: >>>>>>>>
Yeah, I know how simplistic that one was...
My MM one was: A^><><><
Basically a modified Minuet of Forest.

Mine was ^ V > < ^ V > < (North South East West North South East West). I figured it would be easy to remember since trying to remember left/right tends to screw me up so I figured I'd remember it using cardinal directions. Ironically, I still get the left and right notes mixed up occasionally.

Mine is ^ > ^ > A < ^ A.
Original I guess, but it sounds awful due to the fact that I was unaware at the time of recording that I needed to play it fast. So now it is all slow and dumb-sounding.

I always used
← ↑ → ↓ ← ↑ → ↓ as an easy-to-remember modification of Zelda's lullaby (or circling clockwise twice, starting with left)

Well I did find it cool that you could make up song, but short and simple for me would be:
OOT & MM: <-, A, <-, A , <-, A, <-, A
I usually try to see how fast I can do it to make it almost a no-sound tune.

I can almost use "Iron Man" as mine :) Still need a bit of practice, though.
I've always just used Oath to Order with a few repeating notes at the end to fill in the last few spaces. Yeah, not very original, but it's one of my favourite ocarina songs, even if I have to repeat it at the end just to fill in the remaining notes.
Of course, I've attempted to use other MM songs too, rarely anything else so I wouldn't have to memorize something over, though.
