MUSIC
No, I don't just listen to music. Rather, I enjoy playing (I can play a huuuuge variety of instruments) music of various genres as well as composing. However, when it comes to composing, I prefer to write orchestrations and marches.

ARTWORK
I love to draw. I like to ink, but I hate pencil. I love scratch art and digital art. I love to paint scenic works, sci-fi works, and even random junk. I love pastels, colored pencils, pens, charcoal, paints of all sorts... but I really enjoy just coloring on the computer with my mouse. I like anime, but not the generic stuff. I don't care much for realism, because it's not very creative IMO.

PHOTOGRAPHY
My dad is the one who got me into it... I love nature photography the most, and I really try to beat my dad's work. He once took this amazing photo of a fern in the middle of some trees in the forest... the light was shining down on it from between the leaves... my god it's incredible. I can take some nice pictures, but I've never come close to his skill.

COMPUTER
I love the computer. I love to design web layouts. I code them in Notepad, harharhar. I love to program things. I sometimes randomly start scripting, but I don't have much time for it these days. I love graphic design, but I guess that fits in with art as well as this section.

ETC
I love to build things. Houses, decks, stages, cars, etc. I've always been very good with tools. I remember when I was three, the wheel on my babydoll carriage broke, and I got into my dad's tools and fixed it myself, haha. I also like to create things here and there outta junk... call it crafts, I guess.

SPORTS
Fishing, hockey, lacrosse, football, wrestling.... love 'em. I like the more physical sports for whatever reason. I guess I just really like the competition. I was on the football and wrestling teams in high school, and I had a blast. I guess I can fit martial arts in this section- Judo, Taijutsu, Karate.... I've taken a bunch of it. I really like combat to begin with, but just performing it is fun. Unfortunately, I can't do much in this area anymore now that I'm disabled.

DESIGN
Fashion and interior design are things I'm very good at. I guess I just have a good eye for pattern, color, etc. I like creating moods and themes. I love using greens and browns and pinks in living rooms because the colors set the perfect mood for relaxation and happiness. I love pimping my CA fashion over here on the east coast, and I love adding my own twists to things. People are always complimenting my choice of clothes.

SHOPPING
OMFG yes it's a hobby, and I'm great at it. I have this awesome ability to create awesome outfits for hella cheap. I can get a $1000 wardrobe with only $200.

VIDEOGAMES OMGAH!
My biggest hobby. FPS, RPG, Adventure, etc. I love games. They're my life. I really wouldn't be who I am without them. I find them fascinating and entertaining. I love how some can be mindless shooters while others have a lot of depth.

Being A Moderator:cool:

I play bass a lot, write songs and music. I'm in a band so I practice with them and play shows and such. I also work out every other day. I get up, run a mile, then work out. It kills you when you first start, but it pays off cause you get tuff, plus you feel good at the end of the day. I used to make video games a lot on the computer, using RPG maker, but I have slacked off a bunch. I never seem to complete a project all the way through, except for like one or two games. But its fun to set and make them, then play them and see how things you have in your head all of a sudden come to life.

-Music
I really enjoy my music, wether it be playing my guitar, or listening to it its one of my favorite things to do, especially when im bored.

-Collecting
For some reason I have always had to be collecting something. I just enjoy finding the best deals, rare items etc. and how impressed some people get. Some of my larger collections include Hockey Cards, Star Wars Figures, Hotwheels, and Video Games.

-Gaming
Probably what I spend most of my time doing. Wether it be on my Xbox 360, or my Atari 2600 I enjoy gaming alot. It helps loving to collect things, as I have quite a few games to choose from.

-Sports
Me and my friends always are playing sports, wther its street hockey, football or soccer.

I also enjoy repairing things mainly electronics such as game systems and such. I probably have a few more, I just cant relly remember.

Great thread!

Reading - I love reading. Always have. I am currently reading just 2 books series. Last week I was reading 3. I love all types of novels - romance, adventure, sci fi, fantasy.

Photography - Always loved this. But recently, I have really been focusing on it. I have a devoted website to my work and am becoming more serious about it. But it's still an awesome hobby to me.

Website design - I love to work on websites.

Being outside - One thing I love about Alaskan summers - not too warm, but just right to be outside all day long!

ART. This is my first love. Drawing, painting... even digital on occasion. I am an artist through and through. I love to experiment with different mediums. If you take a gander at my Deviant Art page, you'll see. - I draw, I paint, I dabble in sculpting... all kinds of different visual arts. I prefer traditional over digital media most of the time (I feel more of a personal connection to my art when I can get my hands messy). I love acrylic paints most of all. The most unsual art that I do, by far, is the animal bone stuff. I go out on walks and search for dead things - take selected bones home and clean them up, then paint them/create art with them. Believe it or not, I've actually sold some of this stuff (few and far between, though. See my website if you want to support me and want a happy, grinning skull to grace your home).

Heck, I'm here at the Dungeon because the Zelda fan art I sumbit to North Castle frequently makes the monthly fanart feature. I started on here just to say a quick "Thank you" to Mases and wound up getting sucked in. Now I'm chained up in the Dungeon and couldn't be happier.

CREATIVE WRITING. Aside from the unusual fan fictions I do for the things that I love (including Zelda), I have a couple of original fantasy novels I'm bothering publishers and literary agents about. I hope that one day, I will be a professionally published fantasy novelist. So far, I *refuse* to vanity publish, and I have no existing connections in the publusing world, so I've been on a hard road. Still, writing is something I've found addictive and don't plan on giving up just because no one with money wants to pay attention to my work. It's all about soul.

Also, everything I write is weird. It seems to me like most people don't pay attention to my work (even in fan fiction realms, I never get a huge amount of reviews), but ... it seems that "there is a market," as it were. The people who like my work seem to really like it. People have done fan art of my work, both fan and original. So, maybe that's a good sign? I'm always looking to improve.

READING. Sadly, most of my reading lately has been fan fiction. I feel like I'm cheating my brain. Still, whether it's silly stuff on the internet or a good, long, deep fantasy and/or sci fi novel (or a little satire by Stephen Colbert or some other political humorist...) I enjoy reading. Any "writer" who tells you they don't isn't worth their salt.

FISHING. It's wet! It's smelly! It's an excuse to be outside! I enjoy most using lures and flies. I have a preference for the dry fly method of fly fishing, but it's nothing I take terribly seriously (I don't tie my own flies or observe insect speices or anything). I bait fish when I don't feel like paying attention, but most of the time, I prefer to work a fly or to cast a lure into the water. I grew up in a desert, but am lucky enough to currently live in woods near a creek. I catch and release when the catch is too small or I just don't feel like cleaning fish that day, but most of the time I catch and keep. Trout are exquisite and little common sunfish and perch are surprisingly tasty.

TAKING WALKS. If I don't feel like fishing or the weather is too cold for it, I'll often get the urge to take a walk. Again, it's just an excuse to be outside. Sometimes, I turn my walks into bone-hunts for the strange art I mentioned earlier.

I enjoy hanging out, talking with people (just chatting, really,) as well as cracking jokes and making people laugh.

I also enjoy just pacing and thinking, and/or daydreaming.

Other than those things, I like playing video games, watching TV (mostly science fiction, fantasy, and anime.)

And I also like to write and design stories, as well as work on my website.

I would probably love drawing if I could draw. Alas, I cannot. Perhaps I should practice, eh?

Reading

i love to read, i'll read nearly any book thats thrown at me, i enjoy fact, science and history books, but i also love reading fantasy books such as

The Lord Of The Rings (trilogy)

Music

I love listening and playing music, i really like guitar, and i play the Violin

Art

one of my favourite things to do is draw, mostly things from Games and stuff, real life or
landscapes aren't my thing. Even during school, if i find a scrap of paper, i'll doodle a picture on it...its an obsession.

Creative Writing

I enjoy writing stories, this could be denominated from my love of Drawing. In the drawings i make, they normally contain snippets from a story that i have in my head, i may write this story and further expand it, or leave the ideas on drawings.
I've written about 6 full books(each containing about 50 pages +, and 10 short stories and plays (Derived from the stories, or just fresh idea's). I never usually write poems, but about 4 or 5 years ago, i won a poetry competition and got it published.

Exploring, and Walking

i love to explore every place i go, in doing this, it can also be counted as walking.
I have discovered many new places and things while walking. this also helps me get things of my mind, and relaxes me. I normally find something while out on my travels, (once i even found a glass crystal!). I'll never walk if it's too cold or wet. If i'm inside for long stretches i'll normally get the urge to go out on a walk.

Video Games

I love to play, read about and get to know everything there is to know about video games. I would consider them as one of my top things to do, i find them so entertaining and they put me in a good mood when i'm down in the dumps. Hooray for Video Games!!

well thats pretty much it, i also enjoy, going on the internet, eating, breathing, and other things, soo thats all folks!

Well, my first hobby is on this here site: Moderating the Shoutbox and making sure you're all good little boys and girls. *Clearly not stolen from DarkLink01*

Anyways, I do enjoy posting on here. When I'm not posting on here, I'll be posting on my blog, of which I haven't done in quite a while. I do spend moments of my time dedicated to thinking of what I could put on there.

I am also a musician. I do compose a few songs every now and then, but my main instrument is the Saxophone. The Alto saxophone is the one I speak of, by the way. I did play Tenor when I was in 8th grade due to Jazz Band. With that, I'm also a member of my school's band program. I participate in Marching Band, which is quite a fun activity. For those who don't believe it is a sport, it is! Don't deny it!

Then, I also make some artwork, a few videos, and a lot of video gaming. Besides Zelda, I am also a fan of First Person Shooters (I'm not a fan of all out gore, though), the Super Mario series, Real Time/Turn Based Strategy games, and I'm not a fan for casual gaming. I am also a fan of Trackmania and the Roller Coaster Tycoon series, as well as the SimCity series, with 2000 being my faviorate. I do make games on PowerPoint when I'm bored out of my mind. I am quite the fan of Nintendo Wifi. Besides that, I pretty much have no life outside of here.

I don't have a lot of hobbies. So here is a short list

- Video games. Nothing is better than playing a video game while laying in bed on a rainy sunday morning. I really like action/adventure games, but this genre is getting more rare these days. I also like Phoenix Wright games (I don't know what genre that is) and games like rollercoaster tycoon.
- Internet. I love the internetz (and I can't live without it anymore). I like to hang around on the forums here, watch some AVGN or nostalgia critic videos, play some stupid online games like bubble shooter or search the web for awesome wallpapers.
- Watching documentaries. It maybe sounds like a boring hobby, but I like to watch documentaries about prehistoric animals or acient cultures. It is always fun to learn some new things without the pressure of learning it for an exam.
- Drawing. I can't draw very well, but I still enjoy making some Zelda art. I can't draw very realistic, so I often draw characters, enemies or bosses from the cellshaded zelda games. You can see some of my 'art' on my north castle page.
- Being a moderator. Do I need to say more? It is fun to have some responsibility at a place you often visit, but I have to admit it isn't always fun to be the 'grumpy rule addict'. And since my 'territory' seems to grow during every forum upgrade, I have more work to do D:

I've got a fairly large list, but my main interests are:

Drawing - I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and now it's also my profession. Unfortunately, because it is my profession, I don't always do it to relax now. It's kind of hard to draw for fun when you just finished a full day of drawing for work. I still get some time in when I can though.

Video Games - Naturally! I don't have much time these days, but I try to get in anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour a day. I had to force more time when playing TP though because some parts needed 2 hour play-a-thons to fully appreciate.

Walking - I get in about an hour of walking time a day. I suppose it's to balance out the hour of sitting plaing video games. I have a few standard routes, but sometimes I will actually drive places to go for a different walk.

Reading - I try to read for about an hour a day as well. I love reading both books and comic books. I tend to read more books than comics, but I still get in my weekly titles.

I have many others, but I think these are the top 4.

★ Coin Collecting

I took an astronomy class in college. It was fantastic. We took 2 (as supposed to be 3) field trips to star gaze. I think you would love it!

I collect coins too. It's especially easy/fun since I work retail and have access to all kinds of currency.

~My hobbies are:
Art
I love drawing, designing, and painting (even though I'm really not good at it lol). Anyway, I love art because its practically the only thing that will help me whenever I'm stressed out about something.

Playing videogames
I <3 videogames! I don't know where I would be without Zelda, Final fantasy, Mario, or Naruto in my life. I especially love the Yu-Gi-Oh! ones for either the PS2 or the gameboy advance lol.

Listen to Music
The music that I normally listen to everyday are songs from japanese bands like Yui, On/Off, and Ikimono gakari (http://www.playlist.com/searchbeta/tracks#Ikimono-gakari). I love listening to the OST's from shows like Bleach, Vampire Knight, Zelda, Naruto, YuGiOh, and even Code Geass. I still listen to american music like B.E.P (black eyed Peas), linkin Park, Kat De Luna, 3 days grace, Skillet, Nickelback, and more.......

There's other hobbies, but these 3 are usually the typical to-do list.

I love playing guitar (got a Warlock for Christmas), sleeping, graphics design (such as signatures and web pages) and most of all, video games! Anything from Bioshock, Assassins Creed, Prototype, and COD to Zelda, Final Fantasy, and the occasional MMORPG. Other than that, I don't have many hobbies lol.

I love drawing, designing, and painting (even though I'm really not good at it lol).

I think any art is worthwhile as long as you enjoyed creating it. (:

I also like to practice UFC style and work on my site.

Oooooooooh, another is walking on beaches. <3 I'll go to Florida just to do that while visiting my grandmother. I like to play the Bass Guitar, chat with friends and try to make new friends. Those are some of my interests.

I like to....

-Play video games:
Who does in this site anyways? I just love leaving the real world behind for just a few hours to live in one that I find to be 'perfect' or at least better than the one I am in now.

-Draw:
Yeah, I like to draw mainly because I am easily proud of the work I had done when I am finished, heehee.

-Mess with PhotoShop:
I love to make signatures and avatars, once in a while I'll make a layout or two, xD I edit pictures and such, its so much fun.

-RolePlay:
Yet another way to escape the real world if only for a little bit to be the character I consider to be 'perfect.'

I have more but eh, these are mains. xD

Old thread, but better to bump it than start a new one. I'm surprised it's not updated more often, actually. Isn't this a perennial "getting to know you" topic?

Studying Languages

I haven't had nearly as much time for this one lately as I'd like. But I love learning about different languages and cultures. I think I just like the idea of communicating with people across boundaries. Last year I took a community class in German and then promptly got swamped by my never-ending side project. Despite not having the time to study it like I would have liked, it was still one of my favorite things to do last year. I am going to order some "learn in the car" CDs once I find a good once.

Singing

Also counting this one even though I'm only singing along with the radio lately. That doesn't change the fact that it's something I've done my entire life. Growing up I was always in a choir, and when I was living in Japan one of my favorite things to do was go to karaoke. I'd like to join a community choir sometime to have an outlet again.

Creative Writing

Also something I've done in spurts throughout my life. With fanfiction I mostly stick to one-shots. When I'm writing original fiction it is usually an attempt at novel-length works, though I've only succeeded once (and it was an early work, which I now recognize was not good enough to be published). I write for a mix of ages, and if I ever return to the idea in my head, it will be a young adult fantasy. I've also written poetry in the past.

Reading

This is one of those things that's hard to explain. I don't really analyze it - I just love books. ^^ I've worked in four different libraries in various capacities over the course of my working career, and while there are months I have more time to read than others, it will be a lifelong hobby.

Cooking

I was a late bloomer with cooking, and didn't learn to love it until I was in my twenties. Now I find it a lot of fun to see how different ingredients work together in a dish (or - hopefully not often - don't work together, heh.) It'd be fun to take a more serious cooking class at some point, but right now I just like stretching my culinary palate and enjoying dishes that I might not have guessed I'd like beforehand.

Playing Zelda

An extremely obvious one, but I spend enough time on it, I may as well say it. XD

I have a few odd hobbies, but they are fun all the same. ^^

• Fossil Hunting - I often will spend time outside searching for interesting rocks and fossils that catch my eye. I mainly find brachiopods and trilobites, but they are very interesting to look at.
• Collecting Four-Leaf Clovers - My friend and I will search for these surprisingly "common" happenings. Finding five- and six-leaf clovers is just something that comes with dedicating time to it.
• Collecting Fonts - As many of you know, I am a font queen. I enjoy going to sites (such as DaFont and Abstract Fonts), and downloading fonts that catch my eye. Just recently, I downloaded my 1,500th font, which is an achievment some font sites don't even reach.
• Drawing - I will manage my stress usually by doodling my cartoons, scenes, and often roses. It just... relaxes me.
• Writing - I rarely share--or even write down my stories with anyone, but it is something I enjoy doing in my alone time. I will think of good stories (a.k.a. dreams I have for myself), and twist them into some fanfic-like thing.
• Eating - This is a bad habit of mine--eating when handling extreme boredom.
• Video Gaming - Obviously, I enjoy playing video games. The Legend of Zelda, Harvest Moon/Rune Factory, Super Mario Bros./MarioKart, Guitar Hero/Rock Band, and Super Smash Bros. are some games I enjoy playing.
• Being Lazy - Most of all, I enjoy not doing chores or homework. Sadly, this procrastination is the cause of my chronophobia--fear of time passing.

Solving Rubik's Cubes

This is actually possible believe it or not. My record is 12.87 seconds. I can do it for hours and not get bored (perfect for a plane).

Drawing

I mainly draw anime stuff along with some VG characters. Sometimes I just randomly scribble, see if it looks like anything, then draw it.

Reading

I usually read fantasy. Sometimes I read non-fiction books relating to space and science.

Playing Video Games (duh)

I enjoy playing Mario, Guitar Hero, and of course, ZELDA!!! I like playing flash games too.

I enjoy drawing :)
Right now I'm in college so I can get a degree and become an art teacher.
I know teachers don't get much money, but I think it's a job I wouldn't mind doing (I've already had some experience).

I also enjoy doing papercraft!
It's so much fun to make paper models =D
I was thinking of making a thread for LoZ related papercrafts along with links to templates and a list of recomended tools so that other people could do papercraft, but I'm not sure how interested people would be.
...I might do it anyway.

Here's some samples of cool LoZ papercrafts =D

http://cl.ly/281V/content

THIS IS A LIFE SIZED LINK CONSTRUCTED FROM PAPER.

http://cl.ly/28Eu/content

And yes, I actually have the template needed to make this; however it's very difficult and would require a LOT of dedication and work....and paper!
Though, I do plan to make the life sized sword and shield from this model :)

Well, me being me I have A LOT of hobbies. And luckily this thread gives me the thriving opertunity of talking about them. Yay.

Reading!
I read all the time! I read mainly old fashioned type things, Sherlock Holmes books and I am currently reading The Hobbit and loving every bit of it. I am about to start a series of books called: Dragon Lance and Belgariad. Again. adventure books where they all go on quests! I love reading things like that, but a comedy book won't hurt now and again.

Singing!
I only sing as a hobby now but I sing all the time around the house and I used to perform. I just love it and it relaxes me. I even did Zelda and Link's duet from Spirit Tracks with my sister on a pan flute! :xd:

Dancing!
I do ballet, tap and modern at the moment and might be joining cheerleading. I just love dancing around and making up routines. I also do exams in dancing and have a ballet GCSE coming up soon.

Sports!
I trampoline a lot because it is fun and I usually play ping pong on it at the same time! I also do running, I have quite good stamina and can run for a long time. I also love to sprint. I used to play a bit or cricket but I only play for fun nowadays.

Roleplaying!
I play Dungeons and Dragons with my dad and siblings. Very fun!

Writing!
I write stories a lot. Aswell as a lot of homework.

That is pretty much it apart from having general fun! :D

I have many proclivities, but most of them shall go unmentioned.

I don't know if this would be a "hobby" per se, but I have a propensity to fall into great bouts of melancholy. When I have free time, my day typically unfolds in this pattern:

My alarms goes off. I roll over and hit the snooze. Already, I miss the excursion of the dream world. I lay in bed trying to muster the drive to get up and on with the day. Were it possible to be debased any further in life, because I would describe it as a sense of trepidation; rather, it is ennui and torpor weighing me down like a weight blanket. I now notice the time the snooze has afforded me has long since passed, but I was lost in pensive rumination. Realizing the folly of attempting to rationalize or put into perspective my woeful predicament, I reluctantly raise myself and take a tentative step forward to face this doleful existence. Disheveled, I maunder about aimlessly in my hallway—being directionless seems to be reoccurring theme in my life. Sometimes I shower and lose track of time in there, other times I don't bother to deal with my slovenly appearance.

I've made it to the kitchen now, and I begin to go through the motions of preparing my breakfast. I find myself staring at an austere, unadorned bowl of instant oatmeal which had long since grown cold as I had lingered in remorse. I don't even remember how I have gotten here—yet another familiar sentiment; story of my life. I consider perhaps speaking to someone, one of my "friends", perhaps. I quickly push that thought aside, however; I'm not particularly eager to listen to stale, callous remarks, and I'm sure they've grown tired of delusional, disjointed soliloquies. I realize how much time has passed as I had dithered, and have grown hungry again. I could go out, but I would have to make myself look presentable—even if I am already groomed, I don't know if I have it in me to put on a blithe facade and dole out perfunctory smiles to strangers; I may slip and give a depreciative look or speak in a sardonic tone. Worse yet, someone may try to strike up a conversation with me, and my dry sarcasm or patronizing remarks seem to go above their heads entirely, sometimes even entirely misconstrued as sincere compliments.

In the end, I wallow in sorrow and reminisce about better days, immersed in self-loathing. Though, I recognize I have no right to lash out and blame others or pity myself as a victim. After all, I shouldn't have been such a gullible fool.

Really, it was pretty clear Lost's mysteries and developments were either completely arbitrary or red herrings stringing us along so we'd watch the next episode. But, come on, Jacob had was just some guy who drank voodoo water and the smoke monster was just his brother who went into a magic glowing hole that contains a jacuzzi with a ancient Aztec bath plug or whatever? Character-based show my ***, Lindelof. You promised us answers. "Because magic" and "because his mom had powers" are not answers. YOU RUINED MY LIFE.

Also, I (used to) like television. And video games. Before I was disillusioned with those, too.

I love exploring the countryside. However psycho farmers are a threat, so I can't do it that often.
