Well, I agree with you. The graphics were some of the best back then, and the sounds were unique that I was very entertained as a kid. But do I miss them? Well, to be honest, I could never go back to the graphics from the N64. Nobody could. Ever. We have come too far.

But as for the sound, well, that's a different story. The music in OoT and MM was so unique, I have to say they are some of my favorite music and SFX I have heard. The song in the lost woods was one of my favorites, and it will be with me entire life.

It takes a lot for a game to effect me like the game has. And they aced it with the sound, that is for sure.

I don't necessarily miss the graphics. I think it would be weird to have Nintendo make a new Wii Zelda game with 64-bit graphics. I miss the games, that's for sure. OoT and MM were a couple of the best Zelda games ever made. I think it would be very possible to create a Zelda title like those two on the DS though. I mean, they did it with Resident Evil, so why not Zelda? I personally can't wait until they get over this Phantom Hourglass format.

Well, for the sound, the N64 had a bad reputation on this, but the music on Ocarina of Time and MM was beautiful. That is a thing that I really miss, OoT and MM music.
But for the graphics, well, not really. I really like TP and WW in that point. Besides, fun is what counts.

I don't really miss the graphics or sounds that each character made or each time you hit something your sword. I really never noticed and was never bothered by the sounds, The graphics were pretty cool back then though.

At this moment in Time there are only teo things I can think of that I can that I missed off of the N64.

The first one being music, The music in OoT (Not to sure about MM) was the best, I like the songs were they remade then for TP like Saria's Song when you are hunting down the Skull Kid. The music from this game is probably the most epic music to ever come out of a game, EVER.

Secondly even though the Nintendo Wii has great controls for Twilight Princess, I miss the N64 controller, That is the best controller ever made and is hard to beat, Just a shame you can't buy it to play games on the Wii.

I never will ever really be bothered about graphics in games though, I will find LoZ as entertaining as Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. As with a lot of games like it, Counter Strike and Call of Duty 4 & 5 being an example, I can play them all for hours on end.

I've always loved how games that are paired or grouped, like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, always used the same models for everything in the graphics and the same sounds throughout. One of the more recent "groups" like these that I've played are the Game Boy Advance Fire Emblem games. They use the same sprites, in and out of battle, for the same classes in all three games, and a cinema background you see in one of them is almost certainly in the next one (unless its story-specific, like the Dragon's Gate in Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken.)

I could honestly only return to the exact same graphics and sounds as much as I return to the exact same games. I like the graphics in older games, but the newer games need to use their own graphics so they can mis in with their own little groups. They need to use new sounds as well, again to fit with the group, but I have no problem if they carry over a well loved sound effect or song. It's nice to hear remixes of songs from older games in the series, which was something I noticed and loved a lot in Twilight Princess.

I liked the sound effects of these two games, but I don't really miss the graphics.

I really did enjoy the charm of the graphics for the day, but they were good for their time, and couldn't hold up to new titles now. So, I don't really miss them, I'm just glad we got them for the games we got them for.

I think it was a good idea to move away from them for TWW, or it would have seemed like a rehash of OoT and MM. It felt like something new, and it was a good idea in my opinion.

I also think in a way TP is an evolution of OoT's graphical style. When you look at character designs, they are similar in nature. Real, but cartoony. Sure, there's a lot more detail, and things are maybe more realistic than in OoT, but I think it's really a successor to the OoT / MM style.

Out of all the games, they are my favorite graphics. These are the games that made me a true fan of the series, and the graphics and music were a part of that. Do I miss them though? No, not really. I mean, I'd have no problem if they made a new game in this style, but I don't really miss them. If anything, they should make a new VC Zelda with these graphics.

I can wholeheartedly say I don't miss those graphics at all. But, having said that, I would never want them to be changed or improved. Graphics, in a way, is what helps you remember a game, and what helps define a certain game. I always like to think of Super Mario Bros when this topic comes to mind. SMB is probably one of the oldest games I can still play over and over again, and the old fashion graphics of that game is what adds to the charm and entertainment that I get from it today. Sure, they "remade" the graphics for the new DS and Wii versions, but I still enjoy the old graphics and game better, just because I feel that the graphics and the game fit together perfectly, and aren't as good if one is changed. The same would be for OoT and MM if they were ever remade. What defined those games would be lost, and the charm and fun of the game would be lost along with it. In a sense, I don't believe "bad graphics" is a relative term at all concerning masterpieces such as SMB, OoT, and MM.

Yes I do. I love the music especially. MM has slightly better graphics than OOT, but I love em both. :D

The graphic stylings of the game were remarkable. They tried to follow a realistic/cartoony styling, while keeping some sort of Japanese Anime style. I mean, look at the Anime, then look at the game. They look quite similar, don't they? I mean, OoT was completly aware of the blur, and yet, they made the most of it. MM had a bunch of good textures in it (Some, however, look unbearably out of place or really blurry).

Polygon count in the games weren't the highest on the console, but, they made the most of the console, producing smooth, crisp models. The terrain was smooth and flowing for the most part, and the water looked spectacular for a N64 game. Framerate was quite smooth.

The games' graphics had this kind of charm that you can't find in any other game on that console, or in any of the other 3D Zeldas. MM had better quality in graphics, but, they both were very equal in graphic styling. Like I said, it maintains a nice Realistic/Anime styling.

The graphics of both of the games were some of the best seen back then. The sound effects and music also went pretty well with the type of dungeon/area you were in.The games were pretty well put together :)

I don't miss it - they've had their time, and other graphics styles can now have theirs.

As for the Music - it was good.

I don't miss the graphics, but they were truly astounding (spelling) back when they were made. But with TP and WW, those are amazing, and I'd rather have those graphics.

I don't tend to really care about the graphics in games, just as long as they're not too dreadful. OoT and MM graphics were good on the N64. For Nintendo to bring them back would just be a terrible idea. The Wii has better graphic capabilities than the N64, and I'm sure a lot of fans that weren't as "Hard core" as others would complain and the game would just generally be frowned upon by critics.

That depends on whether you are talking about actual technical graphics or art style. They obviously should not bring back the old blocky models - even though I can deal with dated graphics (and find a certain charm in them), what's the point in going backwards? But the art style - bright and colourful, slightly animesque - yes, that should return. Twilight Princess came close, but it was a bit dull IMO. Neutral colours, like brown, and muted colours were a little overused.

The music in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask was phenomenal, even with the hindrance of MIDI. Recreating music in that similar style, and using real instruments, would be just too awesome. I'd buy the game for that alone. :)

I don't miss the graphics because I know they won't use them again. I might miss the music a bit, though it can be in future zelda games. The song of healing was brought back from Majora's Mask in Twilight Princess as well as OoT songs.

The graphics in both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are amazingly great for the time they were made, and I still think they are okay. Introducing others to this game isn't as easy, because some people base game value on graphics and whatnot and sometimes don't respect the basic awesomness of the game excluding the graphics. I loved them, and I grew up with them, I think they are really good.

I will miss the great graphics for they're age, and they worked great along with all the sound effects and appealing music ingame. I'm sure many others who grew up with the 64-bit era will also miss it's graphics and other great features that made it fun to play. I will never forgot the days I ran around Hyrule Field listening to the music and staring the the graphics on the TV screen as if they were the best in the world. Those were the days.

Oh, I loved these graphics. Where can we find graphics like these again? Those graphics were my favorite. The way the characters were made was so creative. I love how the graphics were never completely roud. They always had the polygon style.

The music was great too. Some of it was chilling liek the Shadow Temple. The music felt weird because it was fitting with where you were.

I loved the graphics that OoT and MM had. They were truly awesome! They stood in a class all their own in my opinion. I guess I could say that I do kinda miss them, but if they were to be brought back to life in a new Zelda game, it would take away from the classic feel that those graphics possess.

As for the music, I enjoyed it too. OoT and MM had some great music and I do miss the melodies that those two had, but with the way that they have remade some of those classic tunes that feeling has lessened a bit.
