Favorite Song in Ocarina of Time

Mine was the Lost Woods theme. It always made me dance in place, and I'm glad they brought it back in Twilight Princess for the Sacred Grove.

I just love the Ending Credits Because it starts out soft then gets to the Lost Woods. Then it keeps playing that and plays the themes for other places like Goron City and Zira Domain.

Oh, and Requiem of Spirit. Best of the warp songs and sounds pretty damn mysterious too. Spirit Temple theme comes in third place, best dungeon music I've come across yet. Yeah, I guess my favorite musical section in that game happens to be the desert :P

Lost Woods was a favourite because of the playful nature of it. It really sold itself as a part of the carefree life of the Kokiri, but a the same time, it had a mysterious edge to it in the end notes before it looped which was played up more when it resurfaced in TP.

My other favourite was Gerudo Valley. I really don't know how to describe it, but it was very unique, and really gave an overal feel to the Gerudo race. It really helped personify them I found in an odd way. I can't quite explain it. It began with the upbeat tempo but almost became a song of sadness even when it remained in the upbeat speed. It was a song I was really hoping would be reprised in TP once I heard of Lost Wood's return, but I was sadly disappointed that it didn't.

I loved the Temple of Time theme. It had that ancient temple feel to it, and I really felt as if I had stepped into somewhere sacred when I heard it. Hearing it again in TP was great, and I hope we'll hear it again someday. Other than that, Saria's Song is super catchy. I'll find myself just randomly humming it sometimes because it's so catchy. The Forest Temple theme is another one, even though it's so eerie and mysterious. It really made the first temple memorable.

The Opening Theme has always been one of my favourites. I like the slow, flowing sound of it. I especially like the sound of the theme when both parts are played on piano.
I also am partial to the ending theme of the game, I like how different songs and themes from throughout the game were overlaid and mixed into the theme.

Then again, I rather enjoy Zelda's Theme (not the song played on Ocarina, but the one that plays when you actually meet Zelda.) I love the way the strings and other instruments seem to blend together; the song seemed to have a happy, yet somewhat depressing quality to it.

I suppose if I were to choose a single favourite, it would be the credits, although it's really somewhat a tie with Zelda's Theme.

My favorite song from Ocarina of time would definetely have to be sheik's theme. This melody is so peaceful that you can "almost" hear his words flowing along with the music. Not only is this song beautful, but its also mysterious because it basically tells what kind of person sheik truly is (at least to me it does). It creates a sense of calmness (when your in stressful situations), sadness, and nostalgia.

Favorite song from Ocarina of Time? Ahh... how am I supposed to choose?! Well, here's five that stand out to me as favorites:

Bolero of Fire - My favorite song to play on the Ocarina, that's for sure. I just love it. And I love the location where Sheik teaches it to you, on that bridge outside of the fire temple. The cut scene is epiccc.
Opening Theme - Who doesn't like the opening theme? It's sort of quiet and really describes the game, if you can say that about a song.
Gerudo Valley - Before I owned OoT I would rent it at a video store (when I was aged around 7 or so), and this was one of my favorite areas to explore. I think this song is very memorable, so maybe that's why I like it.
Kakariko Village - It's so peaceful and nice... I just love it.
Hyrule Field - You're always going in and out of the field to get one place to another... so it's also pretty memorable.

Gerudo Valley ~ It's just so epic. It feels very dangerous. Obviously because when you first enter the area, you have to sneak through the fortress.

Epona's Song ~ A very relaxing tune (except for Malon's singing, which, due to the low-quality "voice", sounds like MIDI agony).

Serenade of Water ~ Again, very relaxing. Try playing it at night in Hyrule Field (as an adult, of course) next to the Zora River so you can hear the water running.

Bolero of Fire ~ It's just awesome. I don't know why. Perhaps because it sounds very passionate.

Sheik's Theme ~ Fits his/her character perfectly. The melodic, yet slightly disjointed harp complements Sheik's odd, poetic speeches.

Fire Temple (version 1.0) ~ The chanting makes it sound very mysterious.

Spirit Temple ~ Like the Fire Temple, had a mystical, sacred feel to it.

Zelda's Lullaby ~ Need I say more?

My all time favourite song from OoT is.. The Shop theme. Most. Epic. Song. Ever. I play it in a constant loop in my room. It's just.. So generically awesome. I can't really explain it. I also really like the Windmill theme. Some times I just stand in the windmill, and go around and around and around.. Ah.. Those were the days. I never really liked the Lost Woods theme.. And I don't really know why. Maybe it's because the Lost Woods scared me like crazy! :sweat: The market theme was also quite good... Oh.. And Zora's Domain theme.. Ah.. So soothing.. Yes. I love the Zora's Domain theme. I can just imagine listening to it while relaxing in a hot spring.

Well, I liked a lot the market theme, it sounded so lively, and I felt like I was really in a market, but my favorite is still the forest temple. It's pretty confusing and mysterious, but beautiful (at least for me) too.

The lost woods(Sarias song). It was one of the only things I liked about the lost woods: the wonderful music. I think that the music in the lost woods soothing, relaxing, and it gives me an easier time with the game.

My favorite song in OoT would probably be Kakariko Village. I love the melody to it and it kinda relaxes me. It also brings back memories of me playing ALttP and being in the Kakariko Village in that game.

If only I did know the name of the songs/tunes! What I remember liking the most in Ocarina of Time must be the Gerudo Valley theme and the tunes in the Spirit Temple, I loved both of them but in different ways. The Valley theme was the most exciting but the Temple theme was just magnificent and masterful.

Apart from that I also enjoyed the Forest Temple music. It was creepy and made you realize that things would get far more "serious" (in a way). The songs in OoT were great!

LOL, you actually got them all correct according to the soundtrack listing I have! They're pretty simply named, using the names of the location the songs play in. It's not like movie soundtracks, where they come up with a title for the track that really means nothing, or is a quote from that part of the movie.

My favorite song that Link learns as an adult is the requiem of spirit. It seems kind of bleak, and strong. A V A > V A !! But as the song continues, it gets higher. So it starts foreboding, and it ends kind of hopeful.

My favorite song that link learns as a child is saria's song. It is spirited and youthful. I also likes it because Darunia gets down with his bad self to saria's song. V > < V > < !!

1. Sheik's Theme.
It has that sad feeling to it, as though all was lost, but then it seems like, little by little, hope is gained.

2. Zora's Domain
I like this one because it has that tropical feel to it. What I mean is that it seems as though the Zoran race doesn't have a clue as to whats going on out of the domain.

I totally think that Nocturn of Shadow should not have been in the game! If you play all the other songs, it seems so dark in comparison!

Song of storms. It's a fun little melody. I am learning it on piano, but have it mastered on Ocarina (which I haven't touched in about 2 years). I love how as I typed in "Song of Storms" it began to rain where me and my dad are driving. You see? The song is just that magical!
