I posted this on the Spirit vs Shadow thread and thought I had to ask.
Is there any one else out there that finds Bongo Bongo incredbly easy. People keep saying he is hard, but he is easy. I find him a no damage (or close to) boss.

I've always found Bongo Bongo to be a rather easy boss; in fact, I've beaten him within a matter of minutes.
First time, I had a slight amount of difficulty, but after that, I was able to defeat Bongo Bongo easily. I found that using the Biggoron's Sword allowed to kill him in a few hits (roughly four or so attacks). Whilst using either Master Sword or Biggoron Sword, I usually loose (that I can remember) only a few hearts.

Yeah, this is where I am right now in the Shadow Temple. I can't beat him for an odd reason. In my first run through, I pretty much beat him in around 45 seconds. But, then again, I had a big load of hearts and a few fairies. I now find it difficult, for I have 3 hearts, no fairies, magic cannot be doubled, etc.

I always thought he was hard. beacause the first few times I played, I stunned both hands and then I didn't use the lens of truth to see him, so I though it was a glitch in the game at first. Now I know how to beat him and I find him rather easy.

On the first fight, it was a little difficult, but now I think I could defeat him without taking damage, he just got me with that stupid charge attack twice on my first little visit. It's actually a pretty easy boss, heck, pretty much all the bosses in Ocarina of Time are easy.

I usually donīt have any problems and they go smoothly things, donīt have to lose any hearts at all. But when things start bad in the fight and I get upset, I can actually die, itīs in a way about the rythm I would guess ;)
First time I played OoT I actually thought the boat "cruise" to Bongo Bongo was harder then Bongo Bongo himself

He is not as hard as people say, but is probably the hardest boss of OoT...
He is a bit annoying, though

I found this guy to be brutal the first time I fought him. I didn't use a guide or anything for help, so it took quite a few tries to take him down. But now, after about 6 years and many re-runs through OoT, I can beat him without being hit one single time.

I don't really think any of the bosses in the game are incredibly hard, but it gets that way when you play it so often. I think that Bongo Bongo was a relatively easy boss to beat, granted it has been a while since I've actually played the game.

I've always found Bongo Bongo to be one of the easiest bosses in the game. On my first try, I only lost one heart and beat him in about 40 seconds or so. Maybe it just depends on the person. I've had trouble with some bosses that other people thought were a piece of cake, but said people had trouble with Bongo Bongo.

I haven't played OoT for a few years now, but I remember him being very simple to beat. I often state that as long as the boss battles are satisfying in their entertainment value, then it doesn't matter if they're simple, but Bongo Bongo's fight was almost over before it began. So, he was easy, and it was an unsatisfying battle. The two got together to make a fairly weak boss battle in my opinion.
When I first played Ocarina of Time and got to this point in the game, I beat him easily. I played it again about a year ago, and for the life of me I could not beat him. I really couldn't. I brought about 3 fairies with me each time, I thought I did pretty well against him, but every time I could not finish him off. After about 20-30 times of going through the shorter pathway to the room he's in, I finally beat him. I don't know why I couldn't do it that time still. So I guess you could say he's easy, most of the time.

Cool glad I am not the only one. Just some questions on him. After you hit his hands do you use arrows or spin attack to take him down? Also do you use the lens of truth for the whole battle or just turn it on for the charge?
Myself, I use the spin attack, makes him fall in front of you, and turn it on and off. (Though you can beat him without it judgining from his fists and the fact he 'appears' after you stun him.
For the record he is one of my all time favorite bosses.

Personally, after I've hit his hands, I turn the Lens off so I can use the super-charged spin attacks to hit him. For some reason, if the Lens are still on, you can only do a normal spin attack. I never use the arrows because I want to save them for hitting the hands.

I always thought he was a pretty difficult boss. Its been a while since I played OoT, or more specifically fought that boss in the game, but I do remember there being problems with me being able to shoot him in the eye. And also with him hitting the floor and making me bounce up and down caused some trouble with it as well. Considering the pretty simple difficulty of every other boss in the game, I believe Bongo Bongo is one of the more difficult ones. He's not fun/difficult like Twinrova, just more aggravating/difficult.

Glad someone asked, anyway, this is how I did it:
I wore hover boots for some reason, (I think it was so I wasn't knocked straight off and got hurt by the poison?) and then I grabbed my bow and fires arrows at it's hands, dodging it's attack (or at least trying to), and then when both had been stun, I used the Lens of Truth + Bow to hit him, smacked him with the Biggoron Sword, and then turned off the Lens of Truth, then repeated that process. ^^
I've only ever faced Bongo Bongo about 2 or 3 times, but I don't find him that easy. The first time I faced him (her? it?) was brutal, and I died several times. I figure that now, as long as I have a fairy on me, I'm fine.
And I only use the lens after I hit the hands and I'm going for the eye.

Well, on my first try, he was quite easy; I had lots of hearts, lots of arrows, Biggoron Sword, fairies, everything. I don't think I died once. But on me most recent play-through, I was doing the 3-heart challenge, and I had a bit of trouble with him. I died several times (thank goodness I had Farore's Wind; I'd hate having to get back to the boss room that many times), but once I got his attack pattern down, I beat him quite easily. The only problem was that if I missed his big glowing red thing when he was charging at me (I'd decided to just use the sword for that, making it more difficult) it was an automatic death. I messed up a bunch doing that, but I beat it without using any fairies eventually.
So no, he's not nearly as hard as a last dungeon (or second to last dungeon, depending) boss should be. Twinrova should have been harder too.

The only reason people find him hard is working out how to kill him

At first he was really hard for me. One of the harder bosses in the game at first. But after I got better with the bow and figured out what I needed to do he got really really easy. He does take away the hearts though if he does hit you.

The longer the fight goes on, the harder he is. I always have the Biggorn sword by the time I fight him, I think that makes him much easier.

I heard that most people found him the hardest boss in the game and even quit playing because they couldn't beat him.
As for me... I found him very challenging the first time through. When I played through it a second time a few years later, I was expecting a rough fight, but I ended up pwning him really hard.
So... I guess he was just hard the first time for me. Morpha was actually the boss that gave me the most trouble my second time through.

At first when i fought him i thought he was easy but the 2nd time it was incredibly easy to use the bow against his hands and sword swinging his head

Well, I finally beat him the night before. I think the boss is more about avoiding the hands' attacks and turning the camera as fast as you can so you can Z-target the hands, then perfectly timing the hit. I came out of there with only 1 out of 3 hearts remaining. Now, I take on the Gerudo's Fortress...

I've always found him to be easy, none of the bosses in OoT really gave me much trouble.
What I do is use the lens on & off, after I get his hands, I let him charge right at me & then shoot him with an arrow when he's infront of me. Then I just unleash the Biggoron Sword on him & after a couple times, he's dead.
He is one of the more difficult bosses in OoT but is still fairly easy.

I thought Bongo Bongo was actually easy on my first time around but when I decided to do my 3 heart challenge I thought it was exceptionally harder considering any hit from him cost you 3 hearts. There was times in where I would shoo the arrow at the eye but this invisible shield like thing around his hands would stop it and it always caused problems for me to shoot his eye.

On my first time fighting Bongo-Bongo, I saw a huge resemblance to that of the giant stone guy with 2 floating hands in Super Mario 64 :P. He was incredibly easy to me. The trick is to wear the hover boots so you don't get swatted around like a fly while you are stunned from Bongo-Bongo's hands hitting the drum. The strategy is really quite simple. It takes quite a few hits to kill him though. Just slash as fast as you can once he's on the ground. Different people will say different things about him, because their skill levels or experience vary. All in all, for me, he is an easy boss, even on my first try.

First time through, I died a couple of times. Though once I got used to the pattern, it became a piece of cake.
I liked him though, Bongo Bongo, he was a very unique boss - creepy too in a way.

I wasted all of my two fairies. (From dying)
I always kept getting hurt when shooting the arrow.
I beat him (it?) with two hearts left... I was sweating all over and my heart rate was really, really, fast.

I don't really remember fighting him for the first time. But after a few attempts I just kept following the pattern and after awhile I figured out what to do and I beat him. I think that he was a very enjoyable boss to face.

He was one of my favorite bosses, but overall he was very easy.
Anyone notice that the overall concept of Bong Bongo has been overused WAAAAAY too much in Nintendo's games?

Bongo Bongo was way too easy. I liked him the best, though. He was fun to fight against but I would have expected a bit more of a challenge from him.

I think he is a bit hard for the first time if you don't get the hang and pattern of it quickly enough. But once you have defeated him once, it actually becomes pretty easy. At least that is the way it happened to me.

The first time I fought him, I thought he took damage when you hit his hands... so I was hitting his hands for like, twenty minutes until I died. THEN I figured out you had to hit his eye. Once I knew that, he was very easy for me and I killed him right away. So uh... I wouldn't say Bongo Bongo was a hard boss.

The first or second time I fought him, he was pretty hard, but eventually, he just waited there after I stunned him and then I beat him to death. I felt like he was paralyzed longer than he should have been that time, maybe it was a glitch.

The only thing i found hard or akward about bongo bongo was shooting his hands (akward) and shooting his face (hard).

If you use the Master Sword (not the Biggoron's Sword), this boss is not so easy, but not so hard too. For me, I think he is pretty easy (but not the first time, when you don't know what to do)
If I compare it to the other bosses in the game, he would be like the 4th or 5th in terms of difficulty. (1st being the hardest)

I could have sworn I posted in this thread before or perhaps its a similar thread....anyways...
The first time that I fought against him, I was still in Puerto Rico and at that time I wasn't all that great with English. I read Navi's tip over and over again but I didn't quite understand it. So at first I do admit that he killed me a few times. It was that bad, either way.
Now a days, he's not difficult at all, I mean sure, the bouncing does get annoying but once you can't the rhythm of his bongos then you've got nothing to worry about. =)

Bongo Bongo gave me the shivers in the past, i remember i lost a really bunch of times against him. He moves his hands too fast and i didn't know you must use the Bow and Arrows. I was trying it with the Boomerang and other stuff first. When i figure out about the Bow and Arrow i kinda suck with his last ''shove'' attack, where the Lens of Truth is needed. He hits me every time till i got him a little bit.
I played OoT more times and Bongo Bongo is no match against me now, while i still had problems with him in Project 64, but a keyboard kinda sucks to beat him.
I must say for the first time he is a hard challenge, after some times he's nothing anymore.

I always had trouble with this boss. It just begins playing the bongo and I go into a rage. I hate how the screen moves and moves and then I go nuts and begin firing him all my arrows in one try and I don't hit him and then he throws me to the acid and then I die!! Gah!!!
Ok, I'll try to calm down. -.-
 sorry for that little trouble. It's just that I remember bittersweet moments. Yes, bittersweet, because then I try again and I beat him so fast...
I'm not sure why, but that always happens. I had 8 years when it happened the first time, and it still happens now.

Bongo-Bongo was very easy. It was an enjoyable boss battle, but it should have been harder. Whenever I face him I never even use the lens of truth, because his hands tell you how close he is.

I say that Bongo-Bongo can be hard for some and easy for others. For me however I can beat him with maybe using one fairy his attacks can do damage like the one were he throws you into the poison and you take damage for that. So I say the battle is somewhat difficult.

To this day, Bongo Bongo is still the hardest boss in OoT for me to defeat. Though I don't have nearly as much trouble with Bongo Bongo as I used to, it's still the only boss that was able to kill me during the three hearts challenge, and the only one of two to kill me more than once during the uber challenge. So no, I wouldn't say Bongo Bongo is easy.
I think my main trouble with Bongo Bongo my first time was that I kept running out of arrows, and I had to resort to the hookshot. I also didn't know on my first playthrough that the Biggoron Sword was more powerful than the Master Sword, so I used the Master Sword throughout my whole first playthrough even though I did the sidequest for the Biggoron sword.
On the three heart and uber challenges I had trouble dodging the attack where the hands push you off the drum and into the acid. Those are the main frustrations I had with Bongo Bongo. I don't have much trouble anymore but I still consider it the hardest boss in OoT.

Well, Bongo Bongo is said to be hard when you use the master sword, but when you use the biggoron's sword it is said that the battle is 75% easier.
I have tried this and agree because Bongo Bongo has the most health out of all the Oot bosses (this a fact).
I cant understand how bongo bongo can be hard?
I can defeat it without takin a single hit. I think its almost easy as Gohma. Never had any problems fighting it.
It doesnt matter if using master or biggoron sword.
This bos has the simplest strategy in the game with the expection
of King dodongo.
Shoot hands, shoot the eye and slash with the sword.

I believe that I won against Bongo Bongo on my first try (I was 8 at the time). Compared to the other bosses in Ocarina of Time, he was easier. I couldn't tell you how many times I'd died to Morpha, lol.
I would always use the arrows to disable him after I took out the hands. I've never been good at executing a quick spin attack, so it was an easy decision for me. It also helps that ol' Bongo drops arrows. :)
